handhelditems extended batter on sale. is this legit - HTC EVO 3D

I was looking at extended batteries and i originally found one at acessoryswamp (search 3500MAH Extended Life HTC Evo 3D Battery i can't post the link) because it looks legit. I really don't want ot pay 10$ and get ripped off so i'm going to bit the bullet and pay a little more.
Then I found this on sale (again can't post the link search "HTC EVO 3D Premium Extended Battery with Back Cover (3500mAh Grade A Cell) By HHI" on handhelditems.com
it seems almost too good to be true. Seeing as how i have never bought from the site, i really can't confirm that this is on sale, or if it is a fake battery with a fake sale to get people to buy. Has anyone bought from them before or preferably this battery and want to tell us its the real deal? It just seems too good to be true that its a real batter on sale for 10$

I highly recommend the platinum x2 extended batteries. They're made by Seidio, even says so on my battery. Normally found at best buy for around $70ish. I just bought one on amazon for $20 as well as some other things to get free shipping. I've been using the battery for a week now and it has been great. It has 2 bad reviews on amazon and don't see why. One said the phone got hot. I don't see how this happens either. Mine is in a otterbox defender and hasn't gotten warm.
As I'm posting this I have 17 hrs on my battery and 80% battery left. I've sent 24 texts and used 60 mins today. I paid $75 at best buy for my platinum x2 for my original evo 4g. I'm thrilled I got a great battey for so cheap. Especially what I paid for my last one. Even at $75 it was worth every penny when you need your phone for work. Here's a link to the one on amazon I just bought.

I can't comment on the battery in question by the OP, but I have shopped with handheld items in the past on more than one occasion and have never had an issue with them. They do ship USPS though, so that kinda sucks.

went to the real mugen power website, checked on the extended battery, it is out of stock, you can order but wont receive until november
ordered my seidio extended battery for the photon 4g it will arrive tomorrow. there are a few counterfeit mugen websites on the web so be careful, mugen power batteries are quite good.
as for cheapo chinese batteries you get what you pay for, many chinese batteries are labeled with exaggerated claims as to their mah rating, several of these batteries have been found to be no larger than the standard ones containing weights to make them feel authentic, never trust chinese knockoff batteries, some will also damage your device and some have been known to catch fire, saving a few bucks on a cheap chinese battery that saves you a few bucks today and ends up costing you your device.......suddenly not soo cheap anymore you know the old saying....you get what you pay for
When I first saw this post, I was all over it until I saw the extended door. I do not want any battery (or accessory for that matter) that adds size or weight to the device. With that said, for my and other members knowledge, will it fit in car dock?

As I said the REAL mugen power does not currently have the battery in stock nor have they ever, there are however phony websites claiming to have an extended battery for the photon, these are counterfeit products and not genuine mugen power batteries, there was soo much confusion and soo many soo called mugen websites that I spoke directly with the company.
They are awaiting shipping of the batteries so anyone who orders them from the genuine mugenpower site will not see their product shipped until some time in november.
Most ebay batteries are fakes, mugenpower does not sell batteries on ebay, chinese scammers sell knockoffs on ebay for cheap, they ruin your phone and catch fire, thanks but not thanks, you get what you pay for.

I find extended batteries dont add that much bulk and actually make the evo and now my photon easier to handle, most people who try an extended battery for a week tend to keep them and love them, you'll just have to find a diffferent case to carry your phone in, easily solved at best buy or other stores that sell generic cell phone cases for phones with larger screens. As noted before, this battery is extremely light compared to the evo's extended battery, I was surprised really. As for a car dock? not sure if the extended would work or not, but you could always use the regular battery for that purpose and swap out the extended when not using in the car dock. These batteries WILL get you through a day, people tend to complain about the bulk havent tried one and lets face it, your carrying extra **** now ..........another standard battery or a charger and charging it up throughout the day or in the car, extended batteries free you from that burden. if you dont like it you have 30 days to return it if you buy it from seidio, best buy also sells seidio products so the battery may show up their, the retail packaging at best buy does not bear the seidio name but they carry the seidio extended battery and several of their cases, very fancy packaging, certainly not rocketfish lol.
Hi, I saw this in eBay , will it be of any serious issue if I use this battery with my photon , I just ordered for one , thought it was a good deal coz my battery hardly lasts for 5 hours , thats it. I'm an entrepreneur and I need to make lots of calls and emails . Like 7 hours a day I need to divert my photon's number to my BB coz the fone lasts literally 5 hours . Any suggestions .,

that battery on ebay is a chinese knockoff, I wouldnt trust it, also look at the back cover, the speaker grill looks like it will obscure sound, I highly recommend the seidio extended battery for the business man who needs extra power, ebay batteries seldom live up to their claims, I have taken some apart to find that they have no more cells or fewer cells and power than a standard battery, some of these can also damage your phone, seidios battery is only 69 dollars, thats twenty bucks more than a genuine standard motorola battery and you get 3500 mah instead of 1600. when it comes to after market batteries I only trust mugen power and seidio ( beware of counterfeit sites imitating mugenpower) the seidio extended fits the phone perfectly, much better speaker grill, had to turn my volume down, mugeenpower batteries are generally good with fit and finish as well. at the official mugen power batteries site you will find that these batteries are currently not in stock, only the counterfeit sites have them "in stock" so heads up if you go with mugen, the official site says you can order but will not be shipped intil november 4th.
The Battery is on its way , I'll buy a mugen itself as u have suggested, I wont use this ebay battery then .,
i bet ur phone case wont fit with that

This is totally legit - there are many mugen fakes out there. I'm posting a lot of news about mugen cuz I'm in touch with their representative. They are quite open for communication so if you have questions, just shoot them a message or add them on Facebook.
mugen claims
According to this web site mugen falls short of it's claims often enough.

Just ordered a 3600mah from MUGENBATTERY.com. Hope that is the legit site. Price was $88.00. Anyone know of an app that will let me know how much juice is left in the extended battey? I'm running CM9 Alpha...
Battery circle might help. I've heard problems with the photon not reading battery percentage correctly. That was on the seidio battery tho. It would stay at 1% for like 5hrs. Any issues with the mugen one?

Still waiting for UPS to deliver it, but will post my finds ASAP. I heard an app called Battery Monitor may help...
Just a FYI, battery circle will not help with the issue of extended batteries not registering the correct percentage left.
Even on CM7 the percentages don't display correctly? Our on any other ROM?

Just got my 3600 Mugen Power extended battery last night. Came 100% charged out of the box. I love this thing and can tell it is quality built. Phone actually feels better in the hand with it as opposed to with stock battery & cover. I'm running CM9 Alpha ICS (not so great with battery consumption) but my phone lasted 12 hours with heavy use. Still need to break it in too (instructions said 4 to 5 100% to 0% runs)!
Also got my battery indicator to calibrate with it as well...
Here is the trick: You must charge the extended battery to 100%, power off device, boot into recovery and then wipe battery stats and reboot phone. Leave the phone on until the battery drains totally dead and the phone shuts off automatically because of it. After this charge the phone back to 100% without removing it from the charger (took 4 hours for me) and enjoy, you're now calibrated to the extended battery.
Nice I just got the trexcell one off Amazon. Reviews were good. If it is crap then at least it was cheap lol. I over night it. Should be here tomorrow

You said it actually feels better in hand, I'm sure the added weight has to do with that. What about pocket size though? Is it a pain to get in and out of a pair of jeans? Just flashed CM 7.2 and I'm doing the whole calibrate thing. I hope what you detailed works, good thing I've got all day to play with it and run it down from 100% to 0 before I have to go out with it tomorrow.

Platinum 2x 3400 mah battery

Hey guys, I was going to order the seidio 4000mah battery for my 3d but I had a BestBuy gift card so I decided to pick up the 3400mah platinum brand from best buy which as I understand is the same thing as seidio just rebranded as BB house brand. I'm going to charge it up and I expect it to be much better than the crappy Chinese 3500mah off of ebay LOL. Who has this battery or the seidio 34000mah and how does it perform? Thanks

I have one I picked up for 22$ from a buddy, I love it other than the fact the power power can be a pain at times. I think it works great for. Hard usage gives me 7-12 hours on a full charge.
$50 at best buy ?? that's a lot of dough
I bought the 2 x 3500mah plus charger (Chinese model) from ebay for $20
I get 12 hours hard use playing 3D a lot and with at least 4 hours BT headphones music and 5hours a day screen use as I play wordfued oh and angry birds and I use 4G for about 2 hours when i'm on the road, switch to wifi work/home.
my bat-prog says biggest use is just screen as it eats up battery. I really like the Chinese knock-off u may want to try it, the price is right.
I see them now at under $7 w/one bat and back cover, you can't lose at that price.
i'm loving it, way better then the stock and a good price.

Best Buy's 2x extended battery $29 free ship

Anybody ever tried this battery? Or know what the mah is? I just bought one, figured I'd take it back to the store if it doesn't last long. Promises 2x battery life over stock.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Platinu...49690628&skuId=2768037#tabbed-customerreviews
I am also interested in anyone's experience with this battery. Probably going to order one now anyway. I see it is Li-po, but don't see mAh's.
Thanks for the link.
3500mah its good I got one

It says $69..... And why don't you guys just buy a second stock size battery instead of one of these brick like batteries?
It's a seidio. They repackage them under the Platinum name for best buy. It will say Seidio somewhere on the packaging, and possibly the product. I had a seidio for my hero, and my battery life more than doubled. I went from daily charging, to charging every other, or every third day, depending on usage.
What happened to the $29 price?
Sales change on Sundays.
i have that one and i only payed $30......it works really good.

2X OEM EB615268VU Battery For AT&T Note LTE i717 2500mah +Charger= $13.99 + FS

Bought here... kinda cheap in my 2 cents
I have ATT 50% discount for accessories but the battery itself already 30-15 = $15. This one beats it.
Hope i can't go wrong for $13.99. If yes i at least still have the charger
http://www.ebay.com/itm/320857279405?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_517wt_1395
I bought this and I do not regret it. They work great. Not a bad investment at all.
There is also a company called ferocity
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ferocity-2x...ccessories&hash=item3a6f87d5ef#ht_1822wt_1400
$11.99 free shipping. It is a U.S. seller. Fast shipping. Purchased monday and received on friday. I bought both of these and still came in under what AT&T charges for one battery and now I have four extra batteries and 2 external chargers. Win. The best part is the Note has awesome battery life so having this many batteries is overkill.

Pretty sure this are fakes... But I am still considering buying them
I tried those ones before and they are pretty poor in fact. They are fake if people are questioning. Can't seem to hold charge after 4 days of use.
I checked these QCell ones on Amazon and they work very well for me. Getting around the same amount of battery life as my OEM. Using these as my primary nowadays

Fake samsung battery info

I purchased a samsung battery 3100 oem. How can I know if it real or fake. I compared it to my wife's in the *#0228#. And all the info is similar except for blocks used. Mine was 6, hers 3. There is no manufacture data. My question is that. I'm I looking in the wrong place for this info. The battery does look identical except mine is verizon the one I bought is tmobile so part# and serial are diff. Thanks for any help. One more this I bought from amazon and told seller battery isn't lasting as long as original and he sent another ASAP. So know I have 2. But I still feel like this is a 2000+mil. Again is there anywhere in the hidden menu I can look. Thanks.
Do you got some pics of the differences visualy to compare.
sent from my sch-l605 clean rom, o.c., wireless charging modded, 64 ulta sd, just about do anything phone!!!!
How much did you buy it for?
If less than $20, you probably have a piece of junk that has significantly less capacity than it is being advertised as.
Link: http://batteryboss.org/
Those are some dated devices but don't you think for a minute that these same goons who sold these fake batteries aren't continuing to do so well into 2013. You get what you pay for, don't be cheap.
There is nowhere that gives the manufacturer in the hidden menu the battery? I did ay slightly less than $20 also.
This is the story. Same battery I bought to the tee. http://www.batteryreview.info/revie...attery-for-samsung-galaxy-note-2-ii-n7100-4g/
Dam. Should of knew better. At least he gave 2. I left a review. Hopefully it helps someone else.
I knew it. I'm bookmarking this thread and will gladly use it anytime I see someone recommending cheap sh** batteries on amazon or ebay.
Do you really think for a second if the real product sells for $50, that someone would willingly get rid of it for so cheap? It's just simple logic.
Anker batteries on Amazon are fairly inexpensive and just as good. 3100mah was around $10 when I bought one.
Hell, the 6200mah anker battery is going for 15.99 with prime shipping and theres another thread saying it's great (we'll see for how long though). But yeah that sucks, and yeah link em to this one. You get what you pay for
