Sim Unlock

is there any solution to unlosk this smartphone...??
I've heard that Imei Check (http://www.imei-check.co.uk) can unlock these ones - though a quick check of their homepage doesn't show the phone.
Maybe an email to them would answer your question ?
Cheers

how did that work, what did you say?

just rang them up, spoke to the guy and said i wanted the unlock code for my phone, he asked why, i said to put another network sim in.
he confirmed my imei number and said he would post the code to me, which he did.
i am on contract with virgin, but they seem very reasonable and didn't ask any other questions.
i tried that but they said i needed to spend £25 before they would unlock it
Unlock For Freeee!
Just Get In Touch Wiht Virgin, On Their Website, Or By Phone, And Tell Them You Need To Use The Phone On Another Network, And They Will Send You The Unlock Code In 48 Hours.

[Q] about simlock

hi all
i've bought a T-mobile HD2 from someone in USA online.it's locked to T-mobile,so i called the USA T-mobile CS rep for an unlock code.surprisingly, that man was quite happy to unlock my phone for me,for free,
AS LONG AS i can get someone in USA with a T-mobile account(anyone, not just the seller who owned the phone) to call the company's customer service and ask them to unlock my phone.
do you really think it's possible that someone who only has an account can unlock others' phones just by giving T-mobile a call? that man convinced me that all i need to do is to give that person IMEI code and my email address and ask for a favour.it doesn't cost anyone anything and doesn't affect that person's account either.how good is that.
please give me some advice on this if you have had a similar experience. if it does work, can anyone in USA with a T-mobile account be so kind to do me a favour? please leave a message or email me if interested.i would really appreciate it!
thanks
John
Check this thread out! - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=601611
thanks. but the thread is mainly talking about getting an unlock code OUTSIDE tmobile.if there is a way to get the code FROM tmobile, which is safer, why not try?and it doesn't sound to me very difficult,so this is what i am asking:is it easy/not easy to get a code from tmobile USA?

[Q] Unlocking - Need Minor Advice!

Hey Guys,
I live in Ontario, Canada and ended up buying an AT&T Atrix 4G online that was supposed to be unlocked however is not...(I'm with Rogers)
I know the typical unlock method buy purchasing an unlock code from some sites or a local cell phone unlock shop, however I have been hearing about how one can call the service provider and given the right reasons - receive an unlock code from them.
My problem is if I were to try this out, would I call my service provider? Rogers
OR
Would I call the original manufacturer of this phone? AT&T
I do understand that part of the process of getting the unlock code involves the IMEI # of the phone.
Thanks,
If it's an AT&T phone, they will have unlock codes. Worst that can happen is they say no. If they do, pay to get the codes from one of the reputable sites.
mobileincanada is a pretty good site, you might find something cheaper. who knows. sucks that you were lied to overall.
I need to try and find a number I can call from Canada which will allow me to talk to someone from AT&T who realizes my situation...I can't seem to get through.

[Q] i got this tab today, just epic. but can it be unlocked?

I got it today after selling my xpeira play, and its just pure epic and its my first tab so happy to own it.
But this is from japan, and its locked to docomo I guess. When i insert my sim it says to enter the unlock code
So is there anyway to unlock this?
Thanks for every comment
I presume you need the code from the simcard ?

Its my old sim card but I dont think its asking for the sim lock code. its asking for the "SIM NETWORK Unlock Code"
Have you finally found the way to unlock sim network lock? I've bought my Tablet S from Japan and it's sim network locked. I can't find any solution at the moment. Please let me know, if you found the way. Thank you!

Your network service provider must be able to give you the unlock code!

Nope, I called em and asked.. they said look for a third party as its illegal for em to give the code to me.,
there where number generators back in the old sim unlocking days, you need imei, phone type, and serviceprovider where the tablet came with.
Dont know if they still make that kind of generators but you can always try

Come on it's totally rubbish!! they should be able to give you the code upon you providing them with identification! This is what service providers doing here and I got my forgotten sim unlock code once from 3. The code prevents improper/unauthorized use, e.g. someone stole your phone and put the sim card in his own mobile phone.
Or you can try reporting loss of your sim card and ask for replacement card with the unlock code.
Hope this information helps.

Thank you for your advice. I think you misunderstand here. We are not talking about 4-digit "PIN Code". We are talking about "SIM Network Unlock Code" which is locked by a provider who don't want us to use other provider's sim card with the phone.

I know it's not the 4 digit PIN Code. Misunderstanding maybe. Here we only have two unlock code set by the service providers, the first one is as described in my previous post, the other is the device unlock code to lock the phone and will only be disclosed upon contract expiry (some service provider will not provide this code to clients but simply unlock the phone upon contract expiry).

Thank you again for the suggestion. I think it's difficult in my case because I bought the Tablet from Japan but I'm using it in Thailand. So, I might try to contact DOCOMO to ask for sim network unlock code.

How to enter SIM Unlock Screen?

Does anyone know how to enter the SIM unlock screen? On the VZW variant when I enter another SIM it just gives a notification message, but doesn't allow for any actions.

i think you onlyl get 3 chances
In your receipt from Verizon if you pre-order they give you the unlock code for the phone which is generic 1234 or 9999. If that doesn't work I will call and *****, lol.
Welp, no luck, BUT it may just be because I have my VZW SIM in the phone still.

unlock code is 8 digits and you can have any sim to unlock
no phone company, AFAIK, will give you a unlock code when you purchase and there is no general unlock code, they are unique per phone, meaning what works for Brandon won't work for you, what works for you won't work with Michelle, etc
I actually asked the rep, they have a generic unlock code for the new LTE devices with the MSM chipset. I just don't have my print out for my receipt handy and thought it was shorter. It is stated in the receipt though. I actually read my entire receipt verbatim when I pre-ordered the device.
