[Q] MHL with KP8 anyone?

I was just wondering if any of you guys got the MHL adapter to work with the KP8 rom. It's not working for me and I'm not sure if it's my adapter, the HDMI cable, my TV, my phone or the ROM.
Have you had it working with any other rom? I'm on Cyanogenmod 7 and having the same problem.
I know my cables all work and my phone charges when its all plugged in. Just won't show on TV.

OK. Found the answer. It doesn't work on aosp roms, but fingers crossed it works on ics.

Oh okay thank you for confirming that. Funny cuz it worked on the KL1 leak. I'm going to flash the new KPA leak and see if that works or not.

[Q] Connecting an USB mass storage on Xperia Mini Pro SK17i?

Hello there everyone.
Sorry if this has been posted before and is kinda noobish, but what I was wondering was: how can I connect an USB mass storage on my SK17i.
What hardware do I need for that?
I'm using stock ICS ROM on Rage Kernel v3.2. Is it possible for me to use a normal USB cable to connect my flash drive.
Thanks to everyone who can enlighten me.

Search for "USB OTG Xperia Mini Pro" on Google.
Anyways. You will need an microUSB male to USB female adaptar. And then you will need
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=wired.usbotg. (Root needed for this app)
And then insert the USB flash drive via the adapter to your phone and you will be able to use it On The Go.
Thanks,
Rick

Thanks for the answer. But where can I find such an adapter! Will it work with the stock USB cable + female-to-female adapter?

No. It will not work. For that you will need to do a bit of stweaking in the microUSB to the male USB adapter.
Search the net for "USB OTG Adapter". Online market is streaming with such adapters, which say that they are made for Galaxy SII. Choose a cheap one and order. And then try. It should work.
Sony has made USB adapters too for their USB OTG Capable phone. You can search for it too. Other than that, USB OTG cables are manufactured by Nokia. (the branded ones cost a bit. You would rather buy a cheap one first and try)

You can use USB MS on both stock or custom ROM and both stock or custom kernel
This may help you : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27174896&postcount=4
You can use Nokia CA-157 OTG Cable to connect USB MS to your phone :

CM7 USB Host/OTG

Not a lot of information available, but the implication is that it's been enable, but not tested. I *really* want a physical keyboard at times. Has anyone got one to work?

Is the usb otg working in the overclocked rom build by succulent? I have it installed at it mentions additional storage:/mnt/usbdisk in storage settings and has CifsManager installed by default. You can find the CM7.2 rom by searching iamafanof with Google.

That is the very one I was referring to. I'll try contacting him directly...

The NT is not yet OTG capable. It needs to be enabled in a kernel.

[Q] usb otg on galaxy ace plus??

plz tell me if galaxy ace plus supports usb otg or can i get it working with some mod or app...
here are links...
ebay links where i saw cables - here, here, here
i also found this app but i am confused.... here
i first searched then posted... so tell me if i missed any app or mod available for this... i am new at Android development...
Today i saw these lines in vold.fstab
# otg sdcard
{
ums_path = /dev/zero
asec = disable
}
usb_mount sdcard2 /mnt/sdcard/usbStorage auto /devices/platform/msm_hsusb_host.0
#end line ## keep this line

Normally, the soc in the ace plus has otg compatibility. Like on the first ace, maybe Samsung disable it
Yes it has something related to otg in volt.fstab... I think it doesn't have proper drivers which i think can be ported like ported to galaxy s...
It has a kernel with otg drivers in it which make galaxy s capable...
I will soon get my computer back and will install linux on it and learn compiling kernel and then maybe some day i will try to port those drivers...:thumbup:
