Well for me, I've deleted the sprint apps, voicemail, ect. Though I did keep the sprint connections, to supposedly automatically connect to the best network. Deleting some of the integrated kies apps i know i won't use. I can manage my own media on my own.
Though kies air was pretty slick, letting you browse your content via a web browser. May keep that one.

didn't like me killing ChatOn, but other than that, no complaints from the system.

Some of the ones I got rid of too; though try to keep your list in the OP, so its easy for everyone to see and not scattered in posts.

Yeah, a list in the OP would be nice.
You can add ChatOn to the list, just with the caveat that it will freeze the phone for a few seconds while its service dies. After it dies that once, you should see no more problems with it.

Bump. No one is deleting bloat? Please share...
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium

I am honestly not deleting bloat because there is already so much space haha.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium

I have also noticed some proprietary apps returning. I created and filled a folder, called it 'bloat' and moved it to ext sd card and the apps still show up in the drawer. Gmail, media hub and more. Happen to anyone else?

STOCK EMAIL not working

I'm on SG2 with 4.0.4 with SiyahKernel S2-v4.1.5 rooted and with Titanium Backup.
My stock email app even on wireless connection Stock email shows "connection failed" while creating accounts (because my accounts just dissapeared).
Stock email app reads all my gmail & yahoo accounts and has a 4x2 widget... if anyone has a good alternative please share.
Used Titanium to freeze (did i froze something wrong):

As nobody replied i tried do UnFreeze a few apps at a time and none worked to get stock email back. I then frozed them back, apart from Samsung Account, Samsung Apps & Samsung Apps UNA2 because it restored security options 'SIM Change Alert' & 'Remote Controls' and 'Samsung Dive'. Also got 3rd party email app AquaMail that can do with 2 free accounts or paid for widget & more accounts.

Official JB and system bloatware

Hi all, I've seen threads about this issue for ICS, but not (so far) JB........
So, I'm on rooted stock JB, and I've used TiBu to delete about 20 bloatware apps. So far the deleted apps have been "standalone" but in the system folder and normally undeletable.....
I'd still like to make this firmware "leaner" than it currently is....but I've got to the point where I'm unsure what else is safe to delete. Has anybody compiled a JB specific list of what is safe to remove? Including .com android.... apps?
Thanks in advance.....
Keith

SD Card not mounting to PC via USB

Suddenly, I can no longer mount my SD Card to my PC via USB. It had been working, but suddenly quit. Charging works, but not mounting to PC. Notification to select MTP, etc. no longer shows up. I have tried 2 known good data cables, so I know it is not the cable. When I plug the USB cable(s) into my phone, a CD Drive appears in Windows Explorer, but nothing more. When I click on the drive, it asks me to insert a disc.
I am running ME7 rooted, with the SafeStrap proof of concept installed and the following Xposed modules active:
AllowLongSMS
Disable Camera Alerts
DisableBatteryFullAlert
EnableCallRecording
Google Wallet Hack
No Increasing Ringtone
Ringer & Notification Volume Unlink
Unicon
XThemeEngine
Is there anything here that could be causing this issue? I have tried disabling all Xposed modules, with same results.

I didn't really notice anything there that would cause this issue.
Sorry this is so long, just trying to provide as much info as possible.
Hopefully someone can help.
Thanks
I don't have ME7, so not sure I can be of much help. However, I was having this problem in terms of just showing up at all. Even after checking MTP my computer could not see my phone. Initially, I installed the Verizon drivers (skipped the update software), but I believe having been rooted was still causing my issue. I then found the SGS4 Toolkit and installed the drivers from there. Once I did that, and a reboot of the PC, the phone started showing up when MTP was checked off.
Thanks. I can't find a link to the SGS4 Toolkit in that thread. I had installed Kies on my PC, and it installed drivers. I uninstalled Kies and the newer drivers it had installed, then reinstalled the previous drivers that had been working for me, but no luck.
Sent from my SGS4 using Tapatalk 4
I thought that might happen, as it took me forever to find them on that thread too. When you open the link, there will be NO download post, instead, there is a bar across the top of the thread with tabs (one being Download). There you can find the toolkit. A bit weird for placement, but as long as it's available.
Thanks. On mobile right now. Will check it out on my PC in the morning.
