I don't have mine yet but I went with the blue simply because I hate all white devices.

White
1) The colors are uneven on the blurple model
2) No visible fingerprints anywhere on the device
3) The themes will contrast the bezel better
3) No purple button
4) I plan on making my phone black/white, stormtrooper style

Pebble Blue

Pebble Blue, I like the violet button and the way the faux metal looks with being blue.

I ordered Pebble Blue and HATED IT! Should be called butt ugly purple... Plus the colors are different which adds to it's FUGLY'ness...
Posted an ad on Craigslist in LA for a trade and actually found someone to trade with so now I have White... :good: :good: :good:

+1 for Pebble blue.

It's a fantastic phone nonetheless, just for me I would much rather have the whole phone the same color shade shade. In the end this will bother us for maybe a week or so before we focus on the more important aspects of the phone (case, roms, updates).

I'm sure it is, but the more I hear people talking about the "purple" home button and the more pics I see where you can clearly tell it's a different shade, the better the white one looks....plus I can go with whatever crazy color I want for the case and it'll match fine. I like that much better.

i have white, but every time i look at pictures of the blue from forums (where it really looks blue and not grey)i wish i had gotten the blue )=
also the bright ass capacitive buttons that bleed light and won't dim with the screen really bother me. can't wait till cm9 when i can set the light value threshold.

[Q] Is the Amethyst Gray, too Purple?

For all you lucky folks that have received your Prime.. I've yet to see one in person, as no Game Stops in my area sells tablets. In some pics on the web the purple tint is very purple, and others barely noticeable.
Are you happy with the Amethyst color? Too purple? Just right?
Looks like the Champagne model is actually more silver also. I have the Amethyst model on pre-order from Newegg and should receive it... some time... before... the end of time. I think my local 7-11 Convenience Store is supposed to get in stock before newegg at this point.
So until then, look forward to feedback.
Thanks
Ya I keep checking for pictures from reviews and its hard to tell without seeing. I have one of each on preorder, but need to cancel one. I was thinking of going Amethyst since the lighter color might show scratches easier? Decisions Decisions.
Depends on the light and the angle you look at it, which is why it looks different in different pictures. Personally I don't think it's too purple, even at it's purplest. I hate gold so there was no way I was getting the campaign one. Plus you don't see the back when you are using it and you can always get some kind of skin or cover.
The Prime definitely has a purplish hue to it which stands out more in certain light. Is it a "feminine" purple hue? In my opinion, no. But the purple is definitely there.
its barley purple unless a light is directly on it, more of a smoke gun metal imo, i love it.
Besides which, and nothing personal to the OP but "too purple" is a subjective judgement and impossible to answer correctly for someone else.
I don't have one, I'm stuck in the hell that is the champagne gray units.
Oooh, I love purple! I hope mine is extra purpley then. But to me I see it kind of like bluing that is done to most guns - my father always did it to his guns - and thats how the grey kind of looks to me.
it's essentially dark gray with hints of purple in direct light, if someone were to glance at it, they would probably say something along the lines of "hey, nice gray tablet"
i am curious to see the champagne one as well, the main reason i didn't buy it was 1. i was afraid it would have too much gold tint to it and 2. in its silverest hues, it resembles an ipad too much.
that and i like darker colored gadgets anyways.
Mine looks grey when not in direct sunlight but when light hits it the right way you could see the purple a mile away. I am one that tends to have all black electronics but the purple does not hurt my masculinity.

It's a metal type of look under different lighting condition it looks different. At first almost liking the gold one more but now that i own the grey it looks really nice specially when paired with the dock it looks better then the gold imho.
no purple for me lol

The Amethyst Grey is more dark grey. I got the Champagne Gold and it is more silver except with certain lighting it goes gold. Asus did an awesome job with the colors; they look so beautiful. You cannot go wrong.

Anyone see a Pebble Blue in person yet?

I'm going to pre-order my AT&T Galaxy S III soon but I'm still stuck between white or blue. I think the blue looks sharp but if the faux metal texture is really visible and apparent that may turn me off from it. What do you guys think?
I visited Samsung HQ to test the S3 before launch (I work for Vodafone UK) and can tell you that the Pebble Blue is hidious! Such a shame really, they should have just made it black! Its personal preferance I guess but I chose the white one .
See, I disagree completely, I saw a blue demo model in my local Vodafone shop and thought it was gorgeous lolf
I have received this morning from Coolblue ( from the Netherlands) a Blue S3. Much nicer than the white S3 that I have seen in their shop.
Daniel
Not because I already own a white one, I think it looks gorgeous! Tri to see both next to each other before choosing it .

Most UK stores now have demo units of both colours and the darker frame of the blue creates a better contrast against the screen. From the front the blue edges it IMO. However, from the back the blue looks more like purple and just doesn't look right.
Nonetheless I've ordered the blue and happy to wait bcos I'll be slapping a slimline mesh case on the back anyway. Interestingly when I Google 'pebble blue or marble white' the few polls I found all were in favour of the blue. But it's best to see both yourself as tastes differ.
I find the metal effect to be noticeable but subtle. Most of the time it just looks like a fuzzy dark blue device.
That said I've only seen/used it in shops so far, my personal unit should be arriving today.
Basically once you slap on a back cover the back doesn't matter much.
It's just the front now. To me unless your phone is in a very bright area, it looks very much like black and similar to other models of black phone.
Whereas the white will always be contrasting in most situation. And I heard the white goes well with the blue pebble cover from Samsung.
But as most said here, better to see it yourself in person.
For me after seeing the blue version, I find the white better.

Galaxy S II White vs Black

Hey Guys, so i am planning to buy a Galaxy II soon so i had a query about which color i should go for. For me both the white and the black one will be for the same price. So here is what i want to know:
Does the White Galaxy S II get dirty and scratched easily as compared to the black one? Ive heard the glossy back panel on the white one picks up scratches and dirt and turns yellowish over time. Is this true?
And secondly about the rim around white Galaxy S II is silver colored and around the black is chrome i think. Which one is more durable and scratch proof? I would prefer if you answered from personal experience rather than guessing! Cheers!
I'd go for black
I have the black one and it just looks lovely after almost a year of solid use. It's not a chrome bezel though, it's pretty dark.
I also had the black one as it doesnt get dirty easily. If you scare the phone get dirty easily, buy a protector. The color is pretty much of your opinion.
Yeah, black seems old but with the great amoled looks fine than white
Dude do not go for black . I have black but it sucks when compare to white. White looks simply awesome.

Pricelists I seen a while back had the black one £50 more than the white one.
I have a white one,but I think the black ones have a higher resale value as they must be more desirable.
And there's a pink option too.......lol

Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
I've had two S2's so far, both of them on black. Black ones are much easy to resell. They are also much more demanded, but if I could and if I do, I'd go for the white one. Just to try something different and also because on the reviews from youtube back from last year, it was clear the S2 was a bit more desired. The phone's in white can get dirty very easily so be aware of course. Black ones if scratched can be caught in the eye much easily and also dents or chips are more visible on the black ones imho.
My own experience
So I happen to own the white one..
Don't get me wrong, I love my phone and every thing but
it looks kinda "ODD" if you know what I mean..
especially when you are trying to watch a vid in a dark room
or when you get it out in a bus or somewhere crowded -you get people staring LOL -
I've been using it for a while and the back cover is as good as new.
I guess the problem is the shiny rim.. it gets scratched easily.
so If I get to choose again I'd go for the black this time ..
I want a red one
I'd go white... just keep it clean & use a protective clear case ^^
If someone has white but want black one then u can exchange with me. I have black but I want white.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
last time i checked, the white one has smooth glossy finish for the battery cover unlike the black one. but if you get a case i dont think anyone would see it
the white looks nicer with the sliver bezel around it. if i could i would have gotten a white one but it came out after i got the black one -.-
My wife has a white one and I have a black one. Both purchased about 9 months ago. I look after mine better than my wife, as in I don't just throw it into a bag of keys like she does! However her white gs2 looks like new still and mine always looks a little worn.
I would say we use them about the same too.

I got Titanium because I think the white will get dirty much MUCH faster and white accessories (cases, flip covers, bumpers) just never seem to be the right shade of white making everything look yellow or dirty.
I honestly based my decision on the sales woman's personal white Galaxy S3. It was white with a heavy yellow hue on the front from use and a whiter than white hard case. Looked terrible. That alone was enough to sway me to Titanium because I had arrived with the intention of getting white. Plus the Titanium is far better/richer looking in person than any of the unboxing videos can really show.
and I got the gray because every single chic I work with (and there are about 300 of them) has either a white S3 or a white iphone..........
If this thing only came in white I never would have bought it.

I'm a huge fan of the titanium. I work in an auto shop and also as a photographer so the white would get too dirty.

Titanium Grey here. Kids with sticky fingers have made some white devices look not so clean in my experience. The grey hides stuff like that much better.

Mega 6.3 White or Black ??? Post your opinions friends

I am owning a white Mega 6.3 , and i loved it . Before that i was using Titanium silver Note 2 which looks premium too.
So guys share your viewpoints/Opinions between white and Black Mega 6.3:good::good:
I prefer black as it looks more professional (in my opinion) and makes the Mega look more compact (e.g. if you want to look slim wear dark colored clothes). The screen also blends with the frame when it's off plus it's not as obvious when watching movies at night. The holes for the sensors are not noticeable and makes the front look more solid. Moreover, the white galaxy phones are known to get light bleed on the capacitive buttons and gets marks more easily (e.g. ink from pens, markers, dirt). If you smoke, it will also tend to make it yellowish overtime as it may absorb tar stains.

True. Mine is in a blue ultra slim case right now but the front will always be exposed so you'll still see the frame, the holes for the sensors, and light bleed from the capacitive buttons if you have a white Mega. I'm just answering the OP's question, it's always up to the user what will make him/her happy.
BTW, just noticed the photo of the black Mega in my previous comment. It has the back button and the menu button on the wrong places. Weird.

Bonus is that you can't see grease on the white plastic.

Thanks for pointing that out. Also, the speaker is in a different place on the back for each of them.
Personally, I love white phones because they just stand out more. I don't like to conform.

Here in the UK, the white is cheaper than the black one in some stores. I guess the white colour became 'premium' when Apple started making white iPhones and called it 'magical'. In reality, lots of people like white because it's different but now it has become more common.
Absolutely I agreed. ..
