Does anyone have or can pull the nfc.apk ? I tried installing a MOD for screen off nfc access but it removed nfc from my phone completely. Anyone have a fix?

does anyone know if I can delete contact.apk and phone.apk from the systems/app without getting a load of errors?
I am trying to remove the gui from the service basically.
I want to be able to load any contact / dialler in that I want without having the system one sitting around due to the fact that it provides some core service..

If you are rooted, then you could use root explorer (or any other with root functions) and mount that directory as R/W. Then you can delete anything you want. I would recommend getting a new dialer/contact manager fist and setting it as your default to avoid force closes. Why not just "freeze" it in case anything goes wrong? This way you'll be on the safe side.

maybe push another phone apk into system app and set permissions, and should work...
Today I noticed on one of my Galaxy Mega phones that it's missing the Android System app! But the phone works fine. Is there a way to restore this system app? I tried to use a backup from another Mega but it did not find it, I even tried to install the APK but it didn't work (tried copying to system/app and still no go)
Any clues?
EDIT: Not sure how, but I think when I went to settings sound, and selected "storage" something, after that it started showing up?
I have a rooted s3 and I deleted my gallery because I don't really use it but I didn't realize that I can't change my lockscreen wallpaper from the default ones without it. I tried to reinstall it but the installation always fails. Can anyone help with this problem?
