[Q] Would you like Carbon Tweaks ported to the S2? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I currently develop a app for the galaxy note called carbon tweaks. Its for tweaking your rom using only one click making alot of librarys and tweaks very easy and quick to install (You can read the thread here)
Anyway i was thinking of bringing support to the S2 and wonder if thats anything any of you are interested in?

i hope u port it as soon as possible

I really hope it is possible but maybe it is more difficult than porting touch wiz 4 to sgs. Screen resolution is completely different now, sgs instead had the same resolution of sgs2. Anyway I definitely hope it can be done and s voice is not device locked as siri is, so we can use it a well
Inviato dal mio GT-I9100 con Tapatalk 2
ofc and for those who saying the screen res is a proplem hello go check how sense 4 was ported to htc sensation and desire iam sure we will getting all of the features my fear is that some of those features are related to hardware

hmmm...lol...was reading the development threads to see how easy it would be for a noob at dev-ing like my self to do it. The only factor that bothers me is not knowing the ins and outs of linux/ios desktop software.
Sounds and looks difficult. The Spen stuff is dependant on Touchwiz. So that must mean they somehow got all the touchwiz dependencies working in an AOSP based ROM, without needing an actual stock ROM

It would be awesome though, wonder why the links don't work anymore.
So I reached out to Gerrett the Dev who put together the Vengeance Note Edition MIUI Rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688646). He said he might be up for the challenge but he needs to know the differences between the International and ATT note from a Dev stand point, and will need volenteers to test the rom and send log cats. I expressed my interest in offering my help and I sure others will join in, but I just need some help from one of our Devs to turn to when he has questions about our device. Any Devs interested in helping out?

Best/most supported smartphone.

Hi, I have a HTC One S. I can't complain about the phone but there aren't a lot official ROMs for this cellphone. On the new website of aokp isn't any ROM for the one s anymore, cyanogenmod has only cm10 stable and some 10.1 nightly and there is screen tearing, too. Or for example Ubuntu touch isn't avaible. Or a super nexus ROM. Or miui 5.
So my question is what is a good supported but also powerful smartphone?
Only Nexus devices get the most development support. Get a Nexus 4...
Sell it and equip yourselves with a nexus you won't start a thread like this again - for nexus something new pops up everyday
OK and any other devices? Maybe for people who are reading this thread and dont like nexus?
Sent from my One S using xda app-developers app
If you don't like nexus don't worry you will also able to use latest android resources.
But you need to search in google that how to make a own custom rom

The Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4, and Galaxy Note II all have great developer support, the US market versions of these phones have even better developer support but the International versions are great too. The Xperia Z is another phone with great developer support as well. All of these devices have official Cyanogenmod support, and AOKP support (Except for the Galaxy S4 which at this moment doesn't have official AOKP) support.

Its not simple but these days there are tutorials on compiling/debugging that makes life easier for newbies wanting to take first steps into aosp development
Bro making a rom is hard for us but not impossible.
You just need to learn how to port rom's from another device and how to modify your stock kernel to work properly in your custom rom.
Don't forget that the nexus/cm rom makers are also a human like us.
Try to search in Google.com

[REQ] Multi-Window Port

Isn't it about time someone ported Multi-Window to our phone? It is called the Galaxy S3 Mini afterall. Seeing as Multi-Window is one of the main features of practically all Samsung Galaxy Phones it makes sense for us to have it. So if there's anyone out there willing to port it, then please do.
Thanks, Kieran

I think dariolob said he stopped working on it a while a go. As for trying it myself, I've tried a few times with zero success. My most recent attempt got "lost in cyberspace" because my laptop crashed while recompiling apks, but thanks for the advice though

I don't think it will be much use seeing that our phone's screen's resolution is comparatively low :/
but I'd be happy to see any new features developed, whatever they are
EDIT: Paranoid Android's HALO feature is IMO better than multi-window and getting that working on our phones should be even better
Here's a link for the people who don't know what it is
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5WljHcOyXs
One benefit of HALO is that it can run ANY app

The low resolution wouldn't really matter. We've still got 233ppi which isn't exactly terrible, I know it's not amazing but it's good enough.

Yes, that's what I thought too, but when this thread appeared first, I checked on the miui english community, and that was the answer given there.
Maybe the answer meant that for MIUI to be developped officialy for a device, then CM was required?
