[Q] is there a MIUI like rom for the SGSIII? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey guys, just moved from Motorola Atrix to SGSIII today...i used MiUi v4 on my atrix, and loved it very much...
so my question is there any sgs3 miui like rom?
on the screenshots in the dev area they all look almost the same...
thanks for any answer

Right now there isn't a MIUI rom for the SGS3. ROMs available are either pure Android or Touchwiz based. However now that CM9 is in nightly build status, I am sure someone will start to work on a MIUI port.

Not a ROM, but there is a Miui launcher in the play store.

thanks fellas...now that you say it,i think i'm gonna try and learn some rom porting)) maybe i can port MIUI to SGS3 myself

I tried it, still didn't like it.
No app drawer and bad translations everywhere = no bueno.
Its very visually appealing apart from the launcher and the translations tho.

MIUI ROM?

I'll be getting a GSII soon... how does everyone like it so far?
I have the Vibrant atm.
Does anyone know if there will be a MIUI ROM coming to the GSII?
thanks!
There's a MIUI experimental build out on the Original Development Forum. It's not perfect yet but most things are working
I must say I'm liking it, but I dont like how I cant sort my icons out and I have A LOT of them and its too much trouble to folder-ize them
i´ve been using it for some time now ( 4 weeks +- ) and i MUST say that it is the best rom ( in my opnion ) EVER !
LOVING IT !
Hey boys where are the Google maps and YouTube in the MIUI rom? Thanks

They were removed because some think they are bloatware. Just download them from the market.

Umm... get a different launcher.
ADW? LauncherPro?
anyway... thanks fellas!
Do you guys know what's NOT working?
I absolutely agree with my fellow user and Senior Member GXFX here! This is the BEST ROM ever I have tried in my SGS II. I tried almost every single ROM out here in XDA, except CyanogenMod. MIUI is fantastic in terms of butter smooth experience, the mind blowing customization option and super fantastic battery experience.
The one thing that I did not feel comfortable with MIUI is its launcher, so I just installed ADW launcher, everything is just cool and comfortable. Thanks team MIUI.
I heard there are issues with bluetooth. It is important to me as I connect to my car stereo using bluetooth and can't do without.
Has anyone had any problems?

Doing that would defeat the purpose of using MIUI. And you dont get the wonderful animations on the MIUI launcher
There are alot of FC's left and right and Bluetooth isnt working, but its mostly good for day to day use

that is cool, but CM10 same as android 4.1.2 and lost s-pen function , CM10.1 not stable and more bugs and lost s-pen function,I haven't any idea to use it...

Just found out that there is no port for CM10 - aaiiiii.... Upgraded my Note to the N2, and was certain that I could get JELLYBAM rom on it....aargg...must do my homework better.
I look forward to see you dev on this, could be awesome to get a working port that can be used for Paranoid or Jellybam roms.

its a very large file already, for cm
This rom works perfectly on my Note 2 LTE. the only problem that I have was just the Google Play store is not following whatever DPI that you set. Everything looks big in it.
*Maybe* this is also causing me getting "incompatible device" error everytime I download some app (Telstra 24x7 eg
So until someone could resolve the issue, I'd avoid the rom.

Reccomend me a rom?

Hey, ive rooted my phone a while ago but i am now looking to installing a custom rom. the main reason i dislike the stock one is little things like when you start typing a number in the phone the person comes up then you click their name but then you still have to hit dial, and also when you go back into the app later to call someone else the last number is still up so you have to delete it. also id like to be able to launch apps from the lock screen.
thanks for any help.

[Q] Trying to find a ROM

Hi guys, my first thread here.
I flashed a custom ROM on my galaxy s3 i9300 a wile ago, and I am trying to find it now. I cant remember its name.
What I do remember is that the ROM came with Stweaks installed, and it had somw kind of installation tool whwre you could choose what tweaks you wanted to get installed, and what kernel you wanted to use as welk as what launcher you wanted.
If somebody knows the name, that would be awesome.
Thanks in advance!
Sounds like any other rom around. Stweaks preinstalled means it comes with eother siyah or some other kernel supporting stweaks. The fact that you could customize your installations means it had aroma which all touchwiz roms have.
Impossible to tell what rom you had with that info.

You also didnt have to download new versions of the rom to update it, you just had to update the installer.
Dont know if this info helps at all :/

Nope, I haven't the slightest idea what rom it could be. Complete out of the blue:
Omega?
Criskelo?
Did it come with the Nature UX (stock touchwiz) theme as default or some aosp theme? Was it ICS or JB?

Hah, what a lucky shot.
Back in the day, Omega and Criskelo were the ones renowned for their installation setups. ^^

Aww :/
Actually, what I was first trying to do is see if I could somehow keep the stock samsung apps (messages, gallery, camera...) on CM10.1, cause I didn't like its stock android apps too much, but I liked the themes for CM haha I guess you can't exactly do that with CM so I was looking for another more stock rom. Too bad I can't install those CM themes cause there are some really sweet ones.
Cm themes won't work with Sammy roms and Sammy apps won't work with cm
Flash Omega maybe? Completely stock is boring but Omega's awesome

Yes Omega is nice. It's got like 13 themes you can install ^^
I'm using the plain old tw theme though.

Need help picking a new ROM!

Hey guys, I'm ready for a change... I want customization... CM 10 would be a good fit but I was wondering if it will work with twrp because I was watching a video that said you have to use clockwork recovery.. So any suggestions?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda premium
Twrp will work with AOSP.. Just make sure you update to the latest version.. There are some good choices in AOSP.. I personally like Carbon and Pacman Roms.. RootBox is solid from what some friends tell me..
Noted 2x- beta testing
Alright thanks, I'll check Em out... I kinda want to get chameleon Os.. Just to try it out...

Go for it.. I've tried plenty.. You're always a backup away.. Sometimes I load a ROM and don't set up apps.. Just check it out and decide before I restore.. That's just me.. Lol

I've gone through a ton of ROMs. I've loaded and reloaded ROMs sometimes 2-3 in a day.
Having a hard time on settling on just one.
