How do I stream content from my GS3 to my LG Tv using DLNA?
Do I need an App?
Or is there a setting I need to use?
All help is greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance.

I also have an LG TV and i didn't have to do anything, while playing a video or viewing a picture an icon shows up in the top left i believe when an external source is available to use.
If the LG and the phone are on the same wifi it should show up by itself and you hit the source button and select the tv... i dont have a pic of that source button because im at work, but it happened all on its own for me...

Wow thanks that worked for a video I recorded. I used it for a a few pics but they have to be taken with the phone with a certain orientation. Ho can I use it with YouTube and Netflix and or Vevo?

thats a good question, i tried on Youtube but didn't see anything... id like to know that as well...

I use imedia share to stream from my phone to ps3 since my tv doesnt have dnla. Should work straight to your tv if it has dlna
Sent from my Axiom MAXX!!

I took you suggestion and I am trying imediashare it has channels and one of them is YouTube and it works well. My TV does have DLNA and I think if I buy the imediashare paid version it will have the ability to stream internet as well in real time.

[Q] Is there any real time video streaming solution?

Greetings!
I am wondering if it is possible to stream live vid captured via SGS2 in real time to TV using MHL-HDMI or DLNA.
For example when I want to shoot foosball match and stream it in real time to TV to let everyone see it without standing and disturbing at the table.
Does anybody have an idea?
Thank you
There's a similar thread, someone asking if he can replicate the screen from the phone on the TV, maybe you should check it out.
I was looking for similar question before I posted mine but have not seen this one, thank you!
Hi! I found one alternative by using Eyecon app available on Android Market.
Maybe it can help you.

Web embedded video clip not playing

Ok.. I tried searching for a answer but not coming up with good results..
basically I am running into a video that won't play and wonder if this is just not supported on ICS or if I need some kind of player.. I already downloaded MX player and it made no difference..
Does anyone know if it just requires some player or is it just not possible? In the right center of the below page I click the video to play it. I get a popup window and nothing.. I tried enabling popups but made no difference either.. Much appreciated if you could help out. Not the end of the world.. just a video I could not watch that I was hopeful for.

I think something's just wrong with that video clip. I can't view it on my desktop either.

There are thread about this on the Q&A sub section, follow the link on my sig please..
nobody is using dlna on SG3?
I'm a bit baffled about the AllShare element of the GS3. I was quite happy with the way it worked on the S2, but with the S3 I have to install something on my PC to access the files on it even though I have AllShare installed on it.
When I open the stock Gallery app, I'm able to see any pictures on my DLNA enabled PC. Maybe with the Video Player app you can do a similar thing? I'll check this when I get home from work...
I have DLNA sharing on Synology, where I can't instal any Samsung aplication.
Now I am solving it trhoug another player called BubbleUPnP, but I am still hoping, that this must be done through Samsung software...
Same here. The stock video player just keeps scanning when I access, my NAS. Every other app works fine.
...and the stock audio player is ok by you?

I can't get this to work either. My s iii shows up in windows media player and the computer shows up in nearby devices but in the phon's music player the "loading" notice keeps running forever.
I just tried using the video player and I found some videos, maybe the problem is that the 30+ gigs of music is jusslow to load. Has anyone else experienced something similar?
Edit: Iwent back after some time and the song listed! Unfortunately they were all in one alpha list, and tapping one would;'t play it. I think this is pretty much useless without organization so I'm going to try Allshare.

I'm thinking of try to do this, but curious how do you see this working? Playing videos on phone storage, like a standalone player? or browsing videos on the phone? or something else?
Let's be clear I can't write a netflix or amazon app or any other proprietary streaming service.

On the original Gear, i could simply transfer videos into the pictures folder on the Gear, they would show up in the Gallery, and then I could play them.
Very simple.
Thank you for considering giving this a try!

That doesn't mean the Gear S can play videos?. I would think that the Gear would need a player of some type and maybe Flash or Java?.

I did take a video that I made and converted it to a 3GP format. Tried to send it to my watch using gear but gear didn't recognize the video so I emailed it to a buddy who in turn text me with the video as a attachment and you are right. it did play just fine on the Gear S.
If there was a App that could see the video files on the gear, I would assume that if it was saved in the 3gp format it would be able to play. not sure about other video formats, I could play around with it and see if it will play something other than the 3GP.

Ok I'm waiting for some feedback on my other app, so I'm gonna switch gears for a bit and explore the video aspects. I'll report back wehn I know something.
Update:
So this how far I got in a couple hours.
Can access Video Folder
Can definitely write a video app to list and play videos from the folder
can rotate video to landscape or play portrait(Haven't figured out fullscreen yet)
Play MP4 with issue, should play MKV as well.
Plays Audio
We should easily be able t browse files on the phone as well and autodownload.
I'll do some more testing of video capabilities. More info to come.
You can see a demo here

Now for the bad news, this type of app needs to go through the samsung app store and I'm still waiting on myb dev setup for this. As soon as I get set up I will clean this up and release it through samsung, but it may take a while
Fantastic!

That looks great! You mentioned in your post about Portrait/Landscape....... If you do develop this, please let us have the option of either.....I prefer portrait, simply because when the watch is on your wrist, the is the normal viewing angle.
Thank you so much!!!!!

The video player has been submitted to the app store. This version will be free with no restrictions. If I make a more advanced edition it will be a different app, so you can continue to enjoy the free edition.
Now we're just waiting on Samsung......

Yeah this is my first attempt at submitting to Samsung. I have not idea how long it takes or how often they reject apps and for what reasons. We'll see.
This one is pretty simple so hopefully it won't take too many go arounds.
I was surprised to find my app works just as well on my gear 2.
Thank you so much!!

If they say no(I can't imagine why) I will post the code. The app has moved to the next step in their process. Still no idea how much longer it will take.
Update: It has moved one step further in the process. it is now in "Under test verification"
