springboard ics help - Huawei MediaPad, T-Mobile SpringBoard

Hey guys a little help please. So I have a springboard and I wanted to update it to ics. So I went to the huawei website and downloaded the file unzipped and I put the dl folder in the root of my SD card, but when I went to install it said fail. Am I doing anything wrong. I followed the PDF instructions and it doesn't work just says FAIL all the time. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance

Try download and extract it again. It helped for me.

So my tablet is WiFi+4G will the S7-301u be compatible with my device

See below...

Well I've been trying for like 3 hours and still no luck. Which is the root cuz I noticed when I plug the card into the computer and the prompt comes up to choose what I want (and I choose open folder to.view files) on the top of the screen it says g:\ and when I choose the open folder to.view file it turns the g to a E:/ so which is the official root. Anyway I tried putting the dload in both and nothing. I have no clue what else to do. This isn't the first time I do some Modding on electronic equiptment. I have my phone rooted and Ive installed android into windows phones...I also tried redownloading the file but nothing.

Do you have a SD card in the machine? Be aware that the internal memory on the Mediapad calls itself SD but it is not.

No. I remove the SD card and put it in my phone. After I move the file into the SD card I put it in the tablet.

Not sure why you are having these problems. Any reason why you don't just install one of the rooted ROMs found here?

This solve mine!
1. remove sd card from the tablet.
2. use card reader to connect my sd card to my computer.
3. copy all my files in the sd card to my computer for backup.
4. format sd card to fat32 with default allocation.
5. copy dload folder to my sd card.
6. put my sd card back to my tablet turn it on and everything goes well.
7. copy my files from my computer back to my tablet. (THATS IT!!!)

My card is already a fat32. I've tried it all. Can it be because my springboards build number is S7-303u and the file I downloaded is S7-302u?

CWM is super easy to use......go the OP of the CWM beta1 thread and he elxplains the ins and outs of getting into CWM. once your in it....all you have to do is have the file at the root of the SD card and go to install zip/install zip of SD/ then choose the zip and flash.
i do not have the beta on my phone yet, but i would just check the OP he seems to have laid it out pretty well.
You dont even need to have the file anywhere special on your SD card either. Just somewhere where you can find it because once you select install zip from sd card you have to navigate where you put it.

If you didn't put a microSD card in your phone for extra storage it won't have a "external SD" folder.
I do have a 16g sd , it has the. Ext sd card fie but was not there

Ok well open up the "my files" app and scroll down to see if a "external_sd" folder exists. If it isn't there then go to settings -> storage, and make sure the SD card is mounted.
If you download a Rom directly from your note it should be in a folder called "download"

Well "my files" shows the sd card, and the settings only shows unmount option for safe removel, so I'm sure its mounted

Can't flash PJ75IMG after Dirty Racun S-OFF

Ok so I followed the instructions on Dirty Racun's tutorial to S-OFF my HBOOT 1.15 4gLTE, and it worked just about perfectly.. The only issue I had was something about a QHSUSB_DLOAD or something like that, but on the IRC chat the person helping me said that didn't matter, and as long as my bootloader said "*DIRTY RACUN* S-OFF HBOOT 1.15" that I was fine.. Well I had to fastboot TWRP because it wouldn't flash as a PJ75IMG.zip through bootloader, and since than I've tried a few other PJ75IMG.zip's and none of them are recognized in Bootloader either.. I asked for help in Dirty Racun's forum but I was told that they only assist us up until S-OFF and that anything after that was not in their venue.. I was thinking maybe this was a bad S-OFF, but not sure if I can redownload my S-OFF tools and try again, or what...!?
- yes the files syntax is correct
- yes I've placed them on /root of phone
- yes I've tried redownloading the zip's and flashing again
and no, none of that has worked...
Thanks in advance..
make sure its named properly

I am having the same problem, I had a good S-Off flash 100% no errors and am now stuck with the inability to flash PJ75.IMG.zip when trying to update my radios ect. I have tried everything cyntax, root of SD card, redownload zip file. But nothing works. One thing I found funny was that the external SD card folder in the TWRP recovery mounts is different than that of the external SD card when viewing it from the phone on diskdrive and mediashare. WTF I have tried all the roots of the external SD card in both of these programs and have reformatted my card to FAT32 still nothing will recognize in bootloader. PLEASE HELP ME

Yes it is the .zip file..... still doesnt work. Maybe I am putting it in the wrong on my external SD card or something. I am using medishare and putting the PJ75IMG.zip file into the "card" no the "phone" file. Is this correct Then when I view the ext_SD from TEWRP recovery it is not there so I reboot the phone and look back in the "card" file and it is there I feel like I tried every folder possible

It should go on your removeable SD card. It's not included when you buy the phone. So you will need to purchase or already have a micro sd card It's located under the back cover at the top. Instead of media share try disk drive

Mount the phone to computer as disk drive use file explorer and copy your file to x:\ where x is whatever drive letter the computer assigned to your external card. It can't be in a folder or the phone won't see it.
MeanROM 4G LTE
Sometimes the seperate sd card is labeled 'ext_sd'...
Sometimes the seperate sd card is labeled 'sdcard2'...
You have to be careful which identifier is used when trying to access the seperate sd card.

After installing TWRP, N3 can't mount SD?

I just installed TWRP on my N3, when it first booted up there were some problems that I've come acrossed. First it made some apps not work..then I went into Astro to move the backup I just did to my external SD, It froze on me while moving the file so I restarted the phone. Now I can't even access my external SD card anymore. It just shows up that I don't have a SD card mounted...Any fix for this?
What I have and what I've done to my N3:
8gb SD card from my old S3
Rooted N3 from Chainfire's post and that's it
Installed TWRP
I have the same problem. I have been searching for 3 days for a solution. I am coming from the g note 2 with 64 gig extreme SanDisk sd card. When i put the sd card back in my note 2 it works fine. This sucks, I hope a solution is posted soon.

I remember reading some where that someone suggested backing up your SD card to your PC, formatting the card in the N3, then moving everything back over to it. Hope it helps...
As far as the 64gb cards.
Remove everything from card.
Format as fat 32.
Replace your files.
Viola.

Best bet would be like others suggested, backup the SD to PC, reformat card and try again. [Have you tried other directory explorers ? I use Root Explorer with no issues]
I am using my 64GB card from my E4GT [S2] with no reformatting required and no problems what so ever [so far -- knock on wood]

If nothing can read [detect] the card then it is dead, kill it with fire to make sure the data is 10000000% destroyed :[
The issue is as on now TWRP cannot read exfat. Most SD cards are formatted in exfat by default. You will not be able to reformat the card on windows 7/8 machines in fat32 with out a third party program. Easiest way to reformat your card to fat32 is go to TWRP recovery and choose wipe. It will auto format your card to fat32. "be sure you backed up anything on your card prior to wipe". After you see the card has been wiped go back to install in TWRP and you will be able to choose your sd card.

Trying to install ROM onto phone, keeps giving error

Lately I have been trying to install a ROM on to my phone, but I cant get the files onto my SD card. Keeps saying, "Cannot copy item. The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected.". I just rooted the phone about a week ago and figured I would change the ROM. Also tried unblocking the files but got nowhere. Also tried other ROMs, nothing is working. But I can transfer files to and from my SD card with no error. Any ideas?

use another 4.4 rom like SlimKat or just use a SD card reader and not connect your phone

[Q] How to download onto external sd card?

Every time I try to download anything the default location is the internal sd card. I try to switch it to choose the external sd card but it says "Can't find file or directory. Please make sure your SD card is ready, and USB Mass Storage is turned off."
I can not find the setting for the USB Mass Storage. But I'm able to see the sd card and see the folders and files I have on there with ES File Explorer.
Any help on this! Thanks!

In KitKat, write access to external SD card is blocked, you need to wait for a dev to MOD the system to allow for writing to external SD card.
