Nova Launcher

Apex

+1 for Apex

Been using Apex

happy rocking Trebuchet now that I found a version that has an accessible settings menu.

Nova Launcher here.

Was an avid apex user, now I'm using SSlauncher. Its got a very cool and different setup. No dock, or nothing. You can make your labels. Very nice

I have been using Nova. It's quite nice having the ability to sort the applications in the app drawer. That was the feature that pushed me towards Nova otherwise I would have probably gave Apex a shot.

Go launcher is my favorite so many themes and widgets... and very very customizable. Check it out before you make your final decision.

Adw ex. Old school.

Motoblur ftw! J/k.
Nova has been good to me. Just wish I could figure out how to get it to run in landscape.

I use Nova too...and there's a setting in there somewhere to do this...can't remember where now, but it's in there. I don't have my phone by my side, can't check right now.

Adw launcher and you download from the market free
I already bought ADWex
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using xda premium
LauncherPro is the best the free version is available on the market. (And I won't post the pro version)
Its ok. Cuz i have bought tht too!

Sorry to hijack the thread. But WHY is launcherpro the best? I've used ADW and in my opinion its much better looking and much more functional. But anyway for that being said. ADW EX ftw

LauncherPro runs smoothly the moment you install it. ADW has to be optimized, and tweaked with to get it run barely like LauncherPro.
That's my reason too, i used both adw and lp and my opinion is that lp is better (faster)
Sent from my MB525 using xda premium
I've tried both LauncherPro and ADW and I have to vote for ADW over LauncherPro. Maybe the paid version is better.
What do you mean regarding optimize ADW also? How would this be done?
Go Launcher Ex
ADW Launcher and Zeam Launcher alternatively
For me ADW Launcher is the best because you can customize nearly every part of it
Launcher 7(wp 7 look alike) its free, check in market .

I've been pretty disappointed with the majority of the launchers I've downloaded. Not that they are bad, just not the experience that I'm looking for. They all end up looking the same to me. I like to make my phone unique, the reason I really like android, and most launchers have the same format.
I'm currently using Launcher7 because it's different that all the other android launchers I've seen. Granted, it just looks like WP7 but it's at least different than virtually every other android phone out there. I'm rather fond of the vertical scrolling and the tile aspect of the launcher. I can create my own tile icons, again it that customization, and I can scroll through all the tiles I want on one screen rather than flipping home screen to home screen. It also minimizes how often I need to go to the "app drawer" because all of my most used apps are on one "home screen". Just my opinion. Maybe, at some point, I create my own unique launcher. For now I really appreciate all of the hard work everyone has put into the launchers available.
Peace,
Ray
launcherpro is by far my favorite.
Launcher pro plus
Go launcher
Vtl launcher is the best bc you can edit everything and works with adw themes.

I've settled on adw but i just found dxhome on the market. The weather widget that comes with it only shows cities in china but i think the app as a whole has potential.

Anyone tried another launcher?

Wondering how Apex or Nova launchers run to get around Sense. Not an Evolte owner yet but curious how they perform.

I tried nova and I thought it ran great. I also installed the touch wiz ui from the sgs 3.

I use Go Launcher - runs great.
Tried Nova, but it got laggy on me. Go launcher is very smooth.
I am using Apex Pro and it is running great. Have not run into a single issue yet.
Great to hear. I've been off of Sense for so long I didn't really want to go back.

I tried ADWLAUNCHER EX, but didn't like that the menu bar was in between the captive buttons and the icon dock

Best launcher? :)

Hi, i just got my arc s and i just wanted to ask you whats the best launcher to use with this phone?
Thanks

Go launcher ex best..

Apex Launcher/Launcher7/Nemus Launcher
My personal choices are Apex and Holo launcher. Both are very fast, and use little resources. But if you need more customization options, you should go with Go Launcher, it seems to be the first choice for most of the people...

Hi there!
Some good reading in this article may cast some light on your question!
If you are running gingerbread, Go Launcher EX is the way to go. If you are running ICS it's Apex or Nova.
But check out the link for yourself!
Don't forget to hit the thanks button if I helped in any way!

Go launcher ex is the one I would recommend. Very good developer..

i recomment NOVA LAUNCHER its very fast and u can put widgets over other widgets
Go Launcher
For me: Go Launcher EX !!!
..because you can sort your apps in folders directly in the app drawer. Simply more overview and quick access in drawer
I think Apex is best for ICS.
And second is GO Launcher. Go Launcher is customizable than other launchers. It has many themes and special widgets.
Look at this AIO package to customize GO Launcher:
http://www.modbile.com/applications/go-launcher-ex-aio-pack.html
Tsf shell is the best but it's a paid app.

I'm using TouchWiz the launcher of Galaxy S3 it's faster than the native of xperia arc/arc s and more beautiful, another one good is Nova Launcher.

sslauncher ... far far better than everything else. unfortunetly people dont know it/it has too much options to be easily customised...
Depends on the purpose. I use the stock launcher so that I can use SE widgets. For light weight launcher, LauncherPro (GB) or Apex (ICS) is the best. And for lots of themes and show off, Go Launcher and TSF. Now you decide!
Sent from my LT15i using xda app-developers app
Use espier launcher for ios look. I used for a few days n thought it was good. If you like ios more I suggest this to you. I reverted back to stock launcher as I like android (personal view)

Nova launcher is the best.. Apex is also good but not as smooth as Nova.. Try for yourself

Best Launcher?

Hello!
Does anybody know a good launcher with fast performance?
I allready have tried smart launcher, zeam launcher, go launcher, launcher pro, apex launcher and holo launcher and of course the stock lg launcher!

Nova launcher is the fastest of all....

i use apex. use it since a long a time.
ADW
Nova launcher prime. Extremely fast and very customizable.
Sent from IceCold 8.8 Imspire
Nova launcher, best of all, works like a charm
apex or xperia launcher
I have paid versions of Nova, Apex and Holo launcher (stock ICS look) and I think Nova Prime is the best, the settings are well made and the performance is great, I use Lustre icon pack and everything looks good. You can change the colour of the top bar to any color to match your wallpaper etc.
I havn't tried other launchers out much, Launcher 8 seemed pretty good but I only used it briefly.

Is there any android launcher that has ability to show dock icon labels? Just like LG stock launcher that shows label "Apps" under the Apps icon on the dock. (Don't mention xperia, and touchwiz please).

me myself, i find apex launcher pro is the most suitable for me, there's just something about nova that i don't quite like

Nova Launcher

I'm sure people are way ahead of me on this, but Nova Launcher is much fassssssssster and much more customizable than stock TW.
Agreed. Combined with minimalistic widgets and simple text, it makes for a very clean launcher.

What are you using for theme and widgets? Specifically, I want to find them on play store, especially the text and call notification numbers

Not faster than TW, have you compared the two? TW opens apps quicker the moment you tap the icon.
That lag is very noticeable and I also use the page indicators to select a particular page in the app drawer.

I love using nova on this phone, apps and whatnot don't launch faster but that really isn't the point of a launcher, I just love doing what ever I want with the launcher, and the cool extras/animations nova offers are nice too.

Just compared the two and I don't see the lag on my phone. The page scrolls are much faster on Nova, and at least for me the app launch is the same.
Actually, I prefer Apex over Nova, better customizations and more options. And a cleaner lookkng menu. Imo

I started using Apex when ICS or JB first launched, can't remember, anyway, Nova hadn't updated so I went to Apex because it worked. Nova caught up and I went back, and while I can't remember what it is right now, there is one feature I must have that Apex doesn't. I still have Apex backed up in TB and restore it and check for updates but that one thing is never there.... Damn, I'm gonna have to restore it now so I can remember what that was. Also, the only thing I remember it having that Nova didn't was more transition animations.

Possibly the ability to change the app info in the app drawer.
When it comes to apex, im big into my themes (downloaded over 20 of them) and I like how the theme engine in apex changes everything, where nova you must change every detail yourself.
