[Q] Reboot issue with 7' Galaxy Tab running Team Overcome 4.1.0 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Galaxy 7' Tab that is rooted and running Team Overcome 4.1.0
It has 16GB onboard and I have 64GB card in there. There seems to be a peculiar issue where I will reload the Team Overcome Rom. When it is done everything is good. At this point I wind up loading all my apps and then eventually move the ones I can to the SD Card using Apps2SDPro.
It seems over a very short period of time maybe a day or so and the Tab will start to cyclically start to reboot itself. I can get the tab to come up, get in fine and then after a couple minutes it reboots again.
If I take the external SD out it seems to be fine.
The only other thing I noticed is sometimes in X-plore I will see the same 13GB on board memory listed twice in X-plore.
What I am asking for is either a possible solution or a good way to troubleshoot and isolate the issue occuring.
Any assistance is appreciated

For me, the problem was CHT 1.8.5. I had 4 fatal errors in 4 days. Hardware reset, then installed 1.8.0 perfect, no probs so far.

I had this problem because I installed 'gprs traffic monitor' to my storage card.
I removed that program and reinstalled to the phone memory, all works perfectly now.
And I'm using CHT 1.8.5 without any problems.
I see.
Well I had 1.8.5 with GPRS traffic monitor on the card also. Next hardware reset I will take your advice and move it to phone mem.
Thanks for the info.
No worries.
Over time I realised it's best to install certain programs to the phone memory.
(CHT, services, various mods, etc...)
The storage card method can be 'buggy' at times.

Blank SD card/removed unexpectedly

This seems to be a fairly common problem on Android phones having searched XDA but it's a problem that has only just started happening on my SGS3 (whilst on holiday - fml).
I was listening to music on the beach (through Poweramp) and took some photos. The music stopped and when I went back into the player no files were found. Then the message appeared at the top saying either no memory card inserted, blank memory card or SD card removed unexpectedly. It's a 32 gb
I immediately swore a lot and then tried the usual routines of rebooting, reinserting, reflashing and reswearing but no joy. This was all on Omega 27.1 btw.
So, I flash a new ROM - Omega 13.1 (old faithful). Nothing.
I flash Supernexus 3. Nothing.
I swear. A lot. Nothing.
I go back to 13.1. Something...
It finds the card but it is still an intermittent problem - especially when using the headphone controls for some reason? I've since tried another smaller SD card and the problem seems to disappear so it must be a corrupt card that I need to reformat to FAT32 once I get home.
Has anybody else got any other ideas or had the same issue?

Well, my SD card just started having this problem today.
Since all my pics and backups are uploaded to Dropbox, I asked the S3 to format it, but it does not solve the problem.
My PC can read the card perfectly.
Any thoughts?
Had the same issue with my S3.
Turned out that the SD card was dying, this caused it to be unmounted by itself and then mounted again (sometimes showing notification “sd card removed unexpectedly”), hence triggering the media scanning process.
I created an application to monitor how many times the SD card was removed, and turned out to be unmounted every ~3 mins!!!
I then bought a new Transcend 32GB Class 10 card (made in Korea), and until now, this never happens, no reports from the application whatsoever, and no media process eating my battery.
I just published this app in the play store now, this is the link:

[Q] Galaxy Player 5.0 USA malfunctioning to the point of being unusable

My US Galaxy Player 5:
Model: YP-G70
ROM: Eryigit Rom 3.0 USA
Firmware: 2.3.6 Gingerbread
Launcher: ADW
Rooted: Yes
Sorry if this question has already been answered elsewhere, but I have scoured the forums and have seen no other people with an experience similar to mine.
I bought a refurbished galaxy player 5.0 US version on amazon about 6 months ago. Since about a week or two after I bought it, I have had nothing but problems with it:
-The player will randomly say the SD card has become unmounted (never on for more than 2 hours without the SD card being unmounted,) and the only way for it to recognize the SD card is a reboot
-The player will freeze when I am trying to open an app, and I am forced to hard reboot
-Occasionally starts randomly playing songs at full volume through the speakers, even though the player is on silent and is not being used (and there is no alarm on.)
I was originally using the stock ROM, and these problems gradually became worse and worse. After the freezing became so bad that I was literally forced to reboot (sometimes multiple times) any time I wanted to switch between apps, I decided to try using Cyanogen instead of Stock Gingerbread.
I loaded version CM7.2.0, and all of these problems completely disappeared (except for the SD card unmounting problem, but even this was way less frequent.) I used CM7 for a few weeks, and ran into the problem where flight mode was stuck on and I couldn't use my WIFI.
I tried to factory reset a few times, but still couldn't get it to work, so I tried flashing the Stock Gingerbread 2.3.6 back on, but got the boot loop error. I ignored the boot loop and used CWM to put CM7.2 back onto my player. I eventually got the WIFI to work through a third party app, and was able to use my player with no errors for about a week, until it went completely haywire and started crashing any time I tried to use any apps that WERE NOT third party apps. Also, none of the features like WIFI, bluetooth, camera, etc. were working. My app I use to study Chinese was still working, so I waited a few weeks before I tried to recover the player in case doing so made it unusable. I tried a hard reset, and this time I got a boot loop for Cyanogen as well. After a few weeks and about 40+ hours of flashing different ROMs onto the player and using different strategies to do so, I finally got past the a boot loop using Eryigit Rom 3.0 USA.
I was very happy to have use of my player back, but only a few days after flashing the stock ROM, the problems that plagued my player initially have returned.
Sorry for the novel, but I wanted to make sure I included a detailed history of my problems in case any lend some insight in to what is wrong with the device. Does anyone have any advice on what to do moving forward to fix any of these problems? Thanks in advanced.
Also, this probably isn't related, but I would like to note that my player stayed on without being charged for 10 straight days (with intermittent use over the period) when I had CM7 flashed and it was messed up. Wanted to point that out in case it signified that some specific critical process was not running, which led to buggy usage, but super long battery life.
Did you wipe the data partition and dalvik cache when you installed each new rom? If you didn't, I suspect that's causing a lot of your problems right there. To fix it, you'll need to use the "reset to factory" and 'wipe dalvik cache" options in CWM.
A couple of your problems are standard behavior. Specifically, the lack of bluetooth, camera, and hw acceleration are normal with CM9 or later on this device. Also bootloops will happen if you reboot your device while it's connected to a computer.
One possible solution for your sd-card issue is to unmount the drive (in the settings/control panel) then physically eject the card and reinsert it (making sure to push it in all the way, you'll feel it latch). That's what I did when I had a similar problem with my player and the sdcard.
Could be you did not wipe when you install rooms .. also try some 4.1 rom offcourse with wipe

SAMSUNG GALAXY LIGHT phone reboot and SD card issues

Hello, i am constantly ( I mean like 20-30 times a day ) experiencing following issues with my Galaxy Light:
1) SD card removes itself , so i can not access anything on it, or even take a picture because it is supposed to be saved on SD card.
2) Phone just suddenly ( in the middle of the call- internet browsing- etc) reboot itself
Any help will be appreciated
Hi,
I can't find anything relevant on XDA for your device and issue. You will need to register on XDA and ask about your issue in this thread dedicated to your device,

Good luck!

Apps on SD Card Suddenly Greyed Out

My wife and I have S9+ phones, T-Mobile. There was a software update rolled out today which we both installed. Shortly thereafter I noticed on both phones that all the apps that we keep on the SD micro card are greyed out. Oddly, they are still accessible and open and work as normal. Since both phones are showing the same symptoms I have to assume this is update related. I called T-Mobile and the rep had no idea why, only to tell me that the update is a Samsung rollout and issue. Anyone else having this issue?
Yes I'm having the same exact issue, doesn't appear to be a way to fix it yet, if you add your most used apps to your home screen or your apps edge it seems to work, otherwise you'll have to move the apps off the sd card back to the phone. It's more of an annoyance at this point since you can still access them from the sd card, hoping they put out a fix for it soon.

Yeah, no fix at this time. I've been on the phone with Samsung, twice, about this and they are aware of the issue. The thinking is it will be fixed with the next software update.
