Instructions for manual installation on Xperia ICS firmware devices:
TRY IT AT YOUR OWN RISK !!
Clearing predefined system settings xml´s folder for Home.apk:
- Check for this path in your /system: /system/etc/customization/settings/com/sonyericsson/home
- If the /home folder is there, just delete it (only /home) !!!
Now install:
1 - Download attached v4.2_ICS_MultiResolution_Xperia_GX_Home.apk and put it on your sdcard
1.1 - Rename it to Home.apk
2 - Download attached v4.2_ICS_HomeAdd.apk and put it on your sdcard
2.1 - Rename it to HomeAdd.apk
3 - Download attached v4.2_ICS_HomePreferences.apk and put it on your sdcard
3.1 - Rename it to HomePreferences.apk
4 - Using Root Explorer copy all three files to /system/ (mount /system as R/W)
5 - Change all three files permissions to rw-r--r-- like img:
6 - Long press on Home.apk and select Move
6.1 - Paste Home.apk on /system/app/ (replace if asked)
7 - Long press on HomeAdd.apk and select Move
7.1 - Paste HomeAdd.apk on /system/app/ (replace if asked)
8 - Long press on HomePreferences.apk and select Move
8.1 - Paste HomePreferences.apk on /system/app/ (replace if asked)
9 - Reboot you phone
Important (after reboot)
10 - Go to "Config >> Applications >> Manage Applications >> All", tap on "Xperia Home" and select "Clear Data" (you need to rearrange your widgets)
VERY IMPORTANT
Home.apk, HomeAdd.apk and HomePreferences.apk work together and they should be in the /system/app folder!!
Or simple flash attached v3 or v4.2 ???_Home_Update.zip on recovery with CWM ! (see second post)
For v3 Mini layout, rename and install:
AddWidget.apk
Home.apk
HomePreferences.apk
To do:
- Xperia TX based home launcher for Multi-Resolution (Dock)
- Xperia Tipo based home launcher for MDPI and LDPI (Corners)

Preferences Translations:
1. Download attached v4_Translations.zip and extract it´s contents
1. Edit arrays.xml and strings.xml with Notepad++ (portable version attached - npp.6.1.7.bin.minimalist.7z)
2. Translate ONLY BLACK VALUES (see attached images)
3. When done, post reply with translated xml´s mentioning your language (with android code if possible)

I started early to bother, I have problem with the size of the widgets in landscape mode, let screenshots.
is possible that they could fill the screen widgets, in landscape mode as default vercion?
I liked the changes, this problem only in landscape mode.

It only works on calendar widget. I think it's widget-dependent.

I tried add the music widget and the Home show a toast: widget already added, even without another music widget.

Edit: wait wait. The problem was caused because i already have the widget but it was hidden when i select the number of desktops to 1.

Also, the center homescreen changes as you change the number of homescreens unlike the previous versions. But not really a big issue for me.

serajr, in my device, your launcher indicators overlaps any widget in the top position... in your screenshots there's no overlaping... what can i do?

been testing your new home launcher on my XMP....so far the only bug i found is the notifications number...just a yellow dot notification on incoming message/call n etc....
regarding landscape mode, i haven't try it (cause i really wish you can made option to portrait only in homescreen while drawer to auto-rotate=force rotation)....
on resizing widget, i notice not all widget can be resized...only a few on them can....
overall a very good :good: v1 for ICS....i hope the next version will be much better....

I´ve removed indicators free space to increase row height to stock default 100dip (like original xperia s). Test version has this free space.
