Is this what you want ? AirDroid

or 2x client

thanks for replies
I thought that 2x required me to place an program on my windows pc? And is AirDroid for accessing my tablet? I am trying to login into computers on my network via vpn and remotely manage them instead of taking my laptop. That is why I can't install the program on all of them. Is logmein the only alternative for my needs on this?

[Q] How to display my Android screen on PC

My project group for our senior project is developing an Android app. We are pretty much done at this point, but we have to present our app on Friday. We have done a practice presentation with a demo on the emulator, but we would like to present it on my phone.
I was wondering what is the best/easiest way to put my Android display on a PC so we can do our presentation on my phone the way it was meant to be shown.
So it would be my phone connected to a laptop, laptop connected to projector, and laptop displaying my phone's display on the projector.
This way we can also use our GPS location and use the app to take pictures which are both important parts of our presentation.
Do you have a HDMI out port on your Android device? That would work nicely.

Any examples?
And no HDMI port, its a Droid 2.
Since you said you are developing apps, i assume you've done so using eclipse, and if not
then download it. install ADT plugin, make a bogus project,
OR if you already are working in eclipse, open your project, deploy on phone using Ctrl+F11 when your phone is in Debugging mode with ADB daemon running, open DDMS window in eclipse, on the top bar click on "Device" and then on capture screen.
oops, sorry thought you just needed pics for presentation. Remote ADB is your only way then
iDisplay. It works on Mac and PC according to there description. It cost $4.99 though...

Can you elaborate on Remote ADB? Thanks!

works pretty well, a little choppy but doesn't require any special apps.

You don't need to install anything, it's just a java jar (executable)

Afaik the idisplay was meant to migrate your pc's entire screen onto your Android phones display?wasnt?
as an alternative monitor i say
i remember my LG p970 having a PC app called ' LG on screen phone '(LG OSP) that since i was(am) #### about Smartphones networking solutions, i tried installing it on my low-end toshiba laptop, and it was damn OK and working like a charm likely with 30Fps or more.
then after i ve tried many cross-platform apps like mobo made one for my Htc and sony devices, and neither of them could saticfy me with their stupid qiualities and low frame rate.
i yet have that application. But the question is whether can a dev handle some modification on it to be use on any kinda android devices?
huh... devs are asleep..

does anyone have a working vnc?

I want to use my pc from my tablet to play runescape has anyone got any clue how?
The image quality/fps over a remote connection may not work too well for a flash game, but it might be playable. I have attempted vnc and remote desktop clients on android in the past, but my favorite is LogMeIn which is $30 in the market but has no monthly fee. LogMeIn works really well and gets around firewalls without any effort.

I was looking at that at one point..not sure...would be easier if this ran java lol
I use Vino (linux VNC server) on my netbook and access it using my Android devices using androidVNC. There's hardly any lag, and you could use that to play Runescape.
Both VNC and Team Viewer work wonderfully. I have both and regularly access my home pc with TV.

may help. They seem to use an vnc client called mocha (available on Market), and RealVNC on the windows machine. I haven't personally used this.
I use PocketCloud on the tablet with TightVNC server on the windows machine. The performance is good, but not good enough for games.

[Q] remote desktop for wp8

I am looking forward to getting my hands on wp8 most likely a lumia 920. My question is does anyone know of remote desktop software? I was really dissapointed that wp7 did not have one that was as easy as teamviewer. I have emailed teamviewer with the usual reply " if something is developed we will let you know." I have tried all the remote apps onn my wp7 to log into my work pc and no success. I have to resort to teamviewer on my laptop or my tablet. Does anyone know any inside knowledge or is it due to fact that I had a wp7 rom on my hd2 that prevented the remote control apps to work?

I have tried pc remote but my works ip address is hidden. I need something that works like teamview where you just log in and connect. I may try pc remote again and see what i can tinker with
I'm looking for something as well. The RDP metro app on Windows RT is really neat, I don't know why they just don't have it on windows phone 8. The thing that is killing me is the lack of VPN. Even Windows RT has built-in VPN and it works great.

That depends on the ROM you're using, if it allows to connect the device as USB mass storage, then you could use that. Most probably that isn't available, though, since this mode blocks the device from being used for other things in the meantime. Aside from that, there's the MTP protocol, but that doesn't work well(thanks Microsoft).
There's also 'adb' and 'QtADB' is a nice frontend for it which is also available for OSX(only tested it on Linux myself). It works, but it isn't perfect.
So using FTP or SFTP is the best option if you want to do stuff like drag'n'drop.

Easiest Windows Android Emulator For Particular Application

Hello,
I am trying to determine the simplest and easiest to install Windows Android emulator for my particular application. My parents don't have a smartphone, but they recently purchased a smartplug for one their electrical heaters, and the only way to remotely control the smartplug is via an app (the smartplug does not have a way to control via web browser).
After looking at the following list (https://www.androidauthority.com/best-android-emulators-for-pc-655308/), many of these are for people who want to play Android games on a PC (which is overkill for what I need). I am try to determine which of these is easiest to use and install for our simple application? I will send my parents the instructions to set up on their Windows 10 PC after I first test on my PC.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

2. Genymotion desktop for commercial uses(paid)
3.Genymotion for personal uses (free)
The free genymotion version link is https://www.genymotion.com/fun-zone/
If it helped u hit a thanks:good:
Thank you.... I have installed Genymotion and it seems to be very easy and works! Thanks again.
Hi.... just an update to this post. After a couple of months of using Genymotion, it looks like it is now asking for money $$ to continue using the free or personal version?
Does this make sense? I don't recall it mentioning anything about a temporary trial period.
Thanks
