[Q] Bluetooth Headset delay - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All
Im using a motorola hz800 bluetooth headset. the audio on voice call seems to be on time but the notification sounds all seem to have about 1 second of delay before reaching the head set. Notification sounds from system or third party apps. Even the ripple sound effects at lock screen also delays.
Anyone else encounter this interesting 'issue' ?

No One ? Hmm I guess Im the only lucky one!

I am getting notification sounds coming from the phone, even though I might be listening to something over Bluetooth. Then, about a second later, the notification sound comes through the Bluetooth headset.

Im using a jabra stereo headset and get the 1 second delay also. I had the same delay with my HTC desire but that used to cut out half the sound, where as the S3 plays it all.

Sound output issue in Skype

Hello,
I just got a BB White HTC Flyer and I love it. Everything so far seems to work fine but I have a small issue with Skype.
It works but when I am dialing, the ring tone is present only through the headphone output. Not a big deal since once the call is answered the phone switches to external speakers. The headphones are obviously not connected and BT is off.
Also, does anyone know how to get the incoming call ring a little louder. I can hear the vibrator motor more than the ring

Bluetooth audio issue with my hearing aids.

I have a unique question that I have not found the answer to yet, so I thought I would ask. Is there a way to delay the audio being sent to a Bluetooth device? I use a Bluetooth receiver for my hearing aids and when the phone sends any audio to the streamer my hearing aids switch to the Bluetooth audio mode, then play an audio tone letting me know it switched, and then finally play the audio. The problem is that it usually takes a few moments to go through these sequence of events and in order to keep the audio in sync with most things, cuts off part of what played. That means I don't hear short notification rings and I just hear the tone of my hearing aids switching modes. Therefore I have the tone also play on my phone's speaker. That is not ideal though. Any suggestions?

You're trying to find a way to delay audio notifications for things like text msgs so you can hear it in you hearing aid after the bluetooth triggers on? Don't know a way to delay the audio but you could try using longer files so at least you can hear the tail end of the audio.
You might also look into something like AutomateIt. You can set it up to trigger a notification whenever you receive a text msg and use the delayed execution function to delay the audio by a second or two. Unfortunately, you can only set that up for text msgs and not email or voicemail. You could also try Tasker. It's a lot more capable than AutomateIt so you might be able to set up something that meets your needs.
Don't know how much this helps you but hopefully it gives you some ideas you could look into.
Awesome suggestions! Thanks I did want to delay the audio and I will have to see if it works.

[Q]Disable notifications through bluetooth?

I use my phone to stream music to my car's stereo, and when I get a notification of any sort, it plays from my phone and then echoes through my car's speakers. This is rather annoying and I can't find a workaround. If I put my phone on vibrate when I enter the car, then I get no noise from either, and I'd never know if I missed a message or something. Just wondering if anyone has a method to force notification sounds through one audio output or another, not both.

JVC KDX50BT is my stereo, if that makes any difference

I would also like to know this. I have a bluetooth speaker at work and a bluetooth car stereo. When listening to music, it is annoying to hear the music cut out and play a notification for an e-mail or SMS message.
Have You guys tried to set notifications volume to none? There are surely plenty of programs that change the phone profile after for e.g. connecting to bluetooth device.

Any way to direct ALL sound to BT headset?

For some odd reason the GS3 seems to still play sounds (rings, notifications, etc) on the device as well as the BT headset when connected; causing an unecessary echo. On all my previous devices, all sounds were directed to the headset. Any way to change this? Couldn't find it under Settings.

I'm experiencing the same problem but I'd like to broaden the scope.
My Bose MIE2I's are plugged into the 3.5mm slot not BT and do not receive the notifications, nor do they work for speaking through the phone and listening to the other party on the call.
I'm used to them not controlling my multimedia and voice control as per my GSII but their functionality being constricted on a higher model phone perplexes me.

Have you try application name BT mono? search in Google play. try that application. it pretty much make your BT headset as output sound. So music notification can play through BT headset
For Bluetooth- turn on the device and find it in the Bluetooth settings. Then click on the wheel beside it and check both vocal and media audio.
same issue here.. driving my nuts..
want all rings notifications etc in the earpiece only.
I want to mute my phone and have all sound routed 100% to the earpiece.

I know this is an old topic, but I was searching for a solution for the exact same issue and thought I'd add my .02 cents here as well.
Anyone come up with a solution to this yet?

[Q] Bottom speaker issue

I've had the Note 3 for T-Mobile for several months now, I bought it close to when it was released. I've been loving it so far, but recently the speaker has been having an issue. Sound for alarms, ringtone, and notification either comes out of the ear speaker or don't happen. However, when I put the phone on speaker during a call, the speaker works just fine. What could cause my phone to stop outputting ringtone and notification to the bottom speaker?
It sucks, I've missed classes because of the alarm not going off.
Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a Bluetooth headset attached? I had that problem when it was set to call and media audio. Unchecking "Media audio" fixed it for me.
