[Q] Music Player with Facebook integration displayin title of the song with album art - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am searching a music player for my android phone. I am looking for a feature where the application will post the song which I am listening on my Facebook account, with the album art of that same song.
I tried with PlayerPro, but it doesnt post the album art. Only the title of the song is diaplayed when I share on Facebook.
Any recommendations?

I checked Songbird...its not working... it just posts the title track, but without the album art.
I guess I did try with this Cloudskipper Music Player... but the prob is it used to search youtube for the song, and then it posted the link of the video on facebook, rather than posting the album art of the song.
I wonder developers can create such apps by way of which the artist and the title of the song can be posted, with the album art, which the app can find from album art database sites.

Found the app... Tunewiki

One more... Mironi

[Q] Searching for a good media player !!

So far I have tried the following media players but all have some missing features that stop them from being ultimate media player
Samsung Stock Vibrant
+ Awesome sounds
+ Equalizer
+ Cool album art brower
- No widget
- Does not automatically download album art
Media Player Pro
+ Automatically downloads album art/artist pictures
+ Decent looking interface and themes
+ Excellent widget support
- No equalizer
- Does not sounds as good as Samsung Player
Mix Zing Player
+ Good Sound
+ Equalizer
+ Widget Support
- No artist picture support
- No way to pick album art manually (at least I haven't found a way)
So now the question is, is there an Ultimate Media player available for Vibrant ?
Also, all players have one issue that they all show same artwork for "Greatest Hits" album no matter which artist it is. I have manually edited the mp3 tags with correct album art but still have the same issue.
Search for "Album Art Grabber" to get album art and DoubleTwist for music - works great.
no problems even with albums with the same names.

Just tried DoubleTwist. The interface is nice but it does neither support artist images nor has an equalizer.
Try mediapro

That still won't give me a media player widget or artist pictures
well out of all the options you listed seems to be the best
all you listed for samsung is that it wont download album art nothing about artist
I like Lithium It rocks with one handed operation. As well it will grab album art.
Cubed / Rockon is your best bet for media players on any android.
http://www.droid-life.com/2010/03/23/android-quick-app-3-or-cubed-music-player/
It's purdy, and very functional.
My only beef is that it has no Genre View but playlists can handle that.
OH and it has a badass widget.

Its nice but it does not have an eQ either.
I've tried a ton of different music players I've found Mixzing or the stock samsung music player far better than anything else out there. I usually tag all my music before I put it on my phone but in the rare case I use MP3 Tagger Pro.
My go-to media player (if I don't use the stock one) has always been Meridian. No Eq though. Don't think you'll find that in any player except stockers.

Mixzing is the only one I've seen, besides stock, that has an EQ.
I finally settled on Mixzing after trying out Tunewiki and Doubletwist. The problem with the stock player is that it can't give you an artist list if you have a lot of music--that makes it unusable for me.
Tunewiki was okay, but slow and it was just ugly. Doubletwist is just way more limited; good integration with iTunes, but you can't make playlists on the go and the video player sucks.
Have any of you guys ever gotten the genre view to work properly with the default player? My track metadata would always be ignored and the player would classify them as whatever it felt like. It was extremely annoying.
So far Mixzing seems to be the best player (though it still does not support artist pictures)

[Q] Music Player with Lyrics Screen

Hi All,
I am new to Android and Atrix is my first android phone
I am looking for a music player app that can download lyrics and show it while I play song.
Thanks,
Sudip
I know that Tunewiki does this. It was a nice feature for popular songs, but more obscure lyrics were out of the question. I am on PlayerPro now for the nice Artist and Album picture-seeking abilities and more aesthetically pleasing widgets, skins, etc.
[EDIT] I'm glad you posted this. It made me find "Lyrics App" (free) which shows the lyrics of the song you are listening to. Works with PlayerPro and more!

I looked at your post, but my phone is not rooted...so I can't install .apk file. But thanks anyway.
You don't need Lyrics App if you have Player Pro. In Player Pro, while playing song long press the Album Art to get the Lyrics option.
hey,,bt where is the player pro????
hey,,,dude but hw cn i download player pro??
On the android market search playerpro. Cost $4.99. Tunewiki is free and does this.

Try miui player theme in the x10 theme forum its free and works perfect on mine use the black signed on page 5 or there's a blue that doesn't work as good on page 2 I think.

[Q] Album Art & 2.3.3 Music Palyer

I cleared my Cache of album thumbs as it was massive!
Only problem now is that some tracks don't have album art, others do.
Every track has album art in Poweramp, so im wondering why its not working on the stock music player?
That's a good question!
well i once read something about this. i had a similar problem but vice versa. poweramp didn't show album art. the problem lies with the combination of the album arts and the tracks itself probably. you should use a programme to create album art for albums. worked for me.
think the programme is called mp3tag.
hope it works for you

Same Artwork In Music Player

So I've always had my music on iPod but recently had to change it to my phone.
I'm having a problem which is the music album covers on the songs are displaying the wrong artwork.
Thing is I have the tags all correct and I know the artwork is there.
The thing is, the wrong artwork is only displayed for certain song which follow the rule:
Example: Artist is Eminem Album Name: Eminem Now most songs have the same artwork( the proper one) but certain songs have a different album artwork.
Every other album is fine but it is only with songs that have the same album but different artworks.
My problem is that I want the music player to display the proper artwork. how do i fix this?
all the tags are proper, all the lyrics are there etc so i don't need an app that fixes artwork
All my music is on the external sd card but it doesn't matter as I tested in internal, same thing happens.
Also only mp3 show lyrics in my music player, not the google play music app but the music player doesn't show lyrics on m4a. I even converted the m4a to mp3 and the lyrics still do not show even if I add lyrics to them. What's the problem? I never had these issues with a Ipod.

Wow did you even read the thread?
I am not looking for a application but a fix. Not app can do this on the Play Store.
It only happens to songs that have the same album name but different artwork. The songs that have same different artwork originally do not display the right artwork but one that is the same as every single other song from that album.
Fix should be found under Play al
^^^^ rsl
I haven't used any app I had that same issue weird it got fixed when I flashed cm for the first time

Help re music player apps

Looking for a little help on music player apps. Specifically, a tablet running 4.3 (should be updated to 4.4 in a month or two according to the manufacturer), all music will be on SD card.
Currently, all my music is album oriented and sorted by Genres, then Artists, then Albums. This works on my iPod in my car (both iTunes and car software work flawlessly) and on my MP3 player (both MS My Music and player software work flawlessly). I start with Genres, find my Genre and click, brings up Artists within this Genre in alphabetical order, click on my Artist and brings up the Albums, click on Album and the songs, in album order, come up. Click on the first song and the album plays all the way through.
I haven't found an Android music app which will do this. Many sort by Genre, then go into directly into Songs, in alphabetical order. Many sort by Artists, but with over 20gb of music and hundreds of Artists, this takes forever to get to ZZ Top.
Anyone know of a music app which can go from Genre to Artist to Album? If this approach works with iTunes/iPods and MS Music, I found it hard to think I haven't found an Android app which can do this. Tried about 20 players in Play Store and haven't found one that does this. All help is appreciated. Thanks.
P.S. No playtlists; no single songs; simply albums by artist catagorized into genres.
Have you try some of them?
Apollo - Music player:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2196385
beat (2.0.2) - a music player with floating controls
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545818
Google Play Music:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.music&hl=no
(I recommend you to try Apollo and see if it right music player for you)
All of these only allow single level searches. I'm looking for something that allows a three level search; first, genre; second, artist; third, album.
It seems ironic I can do this with iTunes and MS Media Player but not with Android. I must be missing something here.

Mixzing
In case anyone is looking for the same thing, Mixzing works. You can set it for Genres; click on your genre, it shows the Artists. Click on your artist, and it shows the artist's Albums. Click on the album you want, and it shows the Songs, in album order.
Exactly what I was looking for.
