Need new ICS RUU - HTC EVO 3D

Were can i find the new RUU with ICS for EVO 3D? will i loose the root if i install the RUU? i need to loose it! thanks.

You will lose root, you might be able to download the RUU on the HTC website - if not I don't know where else.
Also, this is in the wrong section. Please post in the right section next time and try the search tool first - it's there for a reason

If you need to go back to the original rom just folow this tutorial and then just search for updates in the original rom and it will find for u the new stock ics

Thank you for all your answer but in the link you posted there is nothing of that or i dont see it can you tell me what happens? thank you!

PapaSmurf is going to tear you a new one...
WRONG SECTION!
And aside from that, there is no RUU for ICS because it has only been released OTA...

How to revert to any stock rom from custom rom

Hi
My phone is hboot 1.49.0009 and I am on leedroid 3D v 5.1.0
I want to go back to a stock rom. I need a step by step guide to do so. I have changed my cid to HTC_001 (Europe) as I could not find an Indian stock rom.
Please guide as there are so many confusing methods being spoken - gold card / fast boot oem lock as a pre condition, etc.
Just flash a shipped ruu rom, it will revert all changes on your device

[Q] [Help] Evo 3D Rooted.

I unlocked my HTC Evo 3D GSM via the HTC Unlock Method. It's on HBOOT version 1.49.0018. I did nothing more. I want to know if I can go on and install a Custom ROM such as MeanROM now or do I need to do something else before I can? If so, links please. Thank you so much in advance.
Your good. Just flash

Make sure to backup your internal content.. And only choose a ROM that capable for your phone, If you're cdma then go to cdma section, else you're gsm, then go to gsm section.. Don't make any mistake, or you won't be able to enjoy your evo..

next you need to install a custom recovery and also the su file this will install super user you should do this before you start flashing rom's
Here is a link for flashing clockwork mod: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1248231 Look at the 3a part. With clockworkmod you can install roms with ease.
Thanks to you all. Moving to MeanROM tonight \m/

[Q] White HTC Evo 3D, is it any different?

Alright, so I have the White(Radioshack only) HTC Evo 3D.
I've tried everything that's out there to root/unlock/downgrade 1.5 -> 1.4
Nothing is working, so my biggest question is <insert title name here>.
I don't mean to be a huge NOOB. But seriously, is it different? I can't manage to do..well..anything at this point, I absolutely LOATHE the stock rom on here, and can't find any way to get away from it.
Any help would be lovely!
PS: I would have posted in development, and just asked for help rooting my phone here, but I can't as I'm a newbie on these forums.

If u don't mind the HTC Unlock, have u looked at my hboot 1.50 guide (in my signature)?
And you've already tried unknownforce & Closeone's downgrade thread?

The only one I haven't tried so far is Closeone's method, but that's only because I don't have a CD/Dvd drive/burner.

When I tried that, when I went into "recovery" with vol down + power it said that I can't use that image. It said something about my version being older, when its not.
That means you need to update to a newer version and sence we are on that subject what version are you running

If you don't mind me asking, update for what?
You most likely have to download the full 2.17 RUU so that it will "upgrade" your phone before you can "downgrade" it.
h ttp://sdx-downloads.com/devs/DC13/ROMS/RUU_Shooter_S_Sprint_WWE_2.17.651.5_Radio_1.06.00.1216_NV_NV_spcs_1.42_release_233304_signed.exe
(take out the space)
Ok I found it on football dev section but this will require you to dowload the ruu which contain the hboot 1.4 now you will at need your bootloader unlocked to do this or do you have that done already ? So I present to you the ruu that will downgrade your hboot to 1.4 don't download this to EVO you have to download it to your pc or laptop and put the EVO in bootloader and then connect the USB cable and press power to turn on your fastboot next on your pc or laptop execute the program and it will run I've done this on my EVO and let me tell you the program is slow butt it works so here you go http://www.filefactory.com/file/c19...216_NV_NV_spcs_1.42_release_233304_signed.exe

Ok then the only other option is rootevo3dnew and you can't go wrong with that one its design for people that have hboot 1.50

I don't think it's any different. I like the color though

Alright, I'm running it now, and I'm at a black "HTC" screen and the program ran into an error: (Error 171, USB connection error).
Edit: Yup, it's not flashing.
Did u enable usb debugging in android's settings?
Overall I'm confused about a few things.
What is your detailed hw & sw versions:
- hboot:
- locked/unlocked:
- s-on/s-off:
- Fw: 2.17.651.5 etc?
- Radio:
What do u actually want... HTC Unlock or hboot downgrade with s-off?
U said u tried everything, but didn't link any threads or files that u used, so we can't be sure what u actually did.
(havent seen u post in any of the xda threads u should be following. I coulda missed it. U did say ur post count was low).
U didn't indicate if u read the hboot 1.50 guide in my signature.

I was just trying to unlock the bootloader and install a custom rom.
I eventually figured it out, but not anything that I tried worked, and then it did by just trying over and again. Not sure what else to really say.
I was hboot 1.5 locked s-on and everything was stock. No "cracks" would work, until I "brute forced it."

[Q] I dont even know what to call it

ok so, I'm having problems loading the Newt One S rom because like a dumb ass I used my flash image GUI to flash ICS cleanrom and I wasn't supposed to because I'm HBOOT 1.5 S on not S off so I'm trying to flash One S and it's like trying to boot up but it stays stuck on htc One splash screen. I think I just need a kernel so, I can get this working again. please help thanks in advance. I wanted to do the downgrade from 1.5 to 1.4 but I'm new to this and don't want to a chance and really screw things up. I'm pretty sure a kernel would fix my issue imo. your advice is appreciated.
Well for starters the gui app is designed for s on devices because if your s on you can flash kernels from recovery so your first step was to pay a visit to HTC dev and unlock your boatloader first and then you will need to install a custom recovery and then the Su file's this will give you root check the dev section pertaining to your device and read up or you will most definitely brick

i had a problem reverting back to stock. The RUU said that my CID was wrong, i tried to change it with adb commands but it was stuck 0202...
The solution was to get the rom from the RUU, rename it to PG86IMG and flash it through the bootloader.
P.S: i was revolutionary s-off

You said was s off... And now did you succed to install official ics ?
What about root, s off and hboot version ?
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using xda app-developers app
i used to be rooted and s-off with revolutionary. When you run the official RUU you loose root, s-off etc. the phone goes completely back to stock (need to adb command fastboot oem writesecureflag 3) after the PG86IMG install in order to s-on. I did that yesterday without knowing that today i will receive the ics OTA !
