[Q] Permanant Notification Bar Icon - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
i have just noticed this on my gs3, there is this icon on the left that wont go away even when i reboot.
When I turn on wifi or download something, i cant see the icon any more, (in the screenshot below wifi hotspot is on but the icon is not visible because of the white icon). I can only see them if i am multitasking eg wifi plus download. It seems that first space is blocked out by that white icon
how can i get rid of it
please help
thanks

I had the same thing, press the notification tab in the quick settings bar.

[Q] Status-Bar Error

I noticed today that out of the blue, my status bar stopped displaying icons of ongoing activities like the Music Player and notifications of Emails even though they were there in the notification bar. All I saw was a grey arrow pointing to the left with a - sign within the arrow. Any probable cause for this?.. and how do I fix it?

It means notifications are turned off. There's a toggle in the status bar.

Click to collapse
-drop down the status bar
-slide the toggles to the right
-activate the notification toggle (should be green...)
-done!
Turn notification on, in the pull down status bar

[Q] Google Now - No Notification icon shows up

Hi,
I'd like to know if it's actually default google now behaviour or not. When ever weather cards / traffic updates show up, I only get to know about it if i pull down the notification panel. No icon (the car and the cloud) appears on the status bar. Is there any way to enable this? I notice it appearing only when I select it via the halo (Nexus 4 - ParanoidAndroid / CrDroid] Is it like this for everyone?
Thanks.

I'm specifically speaking about these kind of notification icons. They never appear!

How do I get the very top row back? (i.e. row containing battery, radio signal etc)

Hello
I have installed Nova Launcher on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3, running Android 5.0.
How do I get the very top row back?
You know, it's the row that has things like the time, radio signal and battery power (etc) back?

Long-press on your screen to bring up Nova Settings, go to Look & Feel, scroll down to the Notification Bar settings, and make sure Show notification bar is ON.
