does any body know how to fix touch screen in some games like worms or Angry birds seasons piglantis?
when i'm on 2.3.4 they work perfectly but on 4.0.4 the touch screen does not work in such games. what should i do?
anybody can help???

those problem were not cause by ICS....its the apps/games itself that is not quite compatible with ICS...you should report to the dev of that apps/games and ask them to fixed the bug so the next version is compatible with ICS...

Are you sure? most of the new games have the problem. The old ones are more compatible with ICS.
Sometimes I had this problems in my phone with those games, angry birds rio, for example. But after I reboot the touch buttons are working fine, and I don't have to always reboot it just happens sometimes, but not to often. But there are other games like "Wind-Up Knight" that I really liked it, but after I installed it on my LWW with ICS, the touch doesn't work and not even after a reboot. The last update of this game I think it was on February and it doesn't seems that they are actually updating it soon. But I hope Sony release an update for ICS that fix these and other bugs that might be on this release of ICS 4.0.4.

The situation is like this.
I have done a software update for my atrix, i have discover some minor problems or bugs.. like
Example: Previously Apps name has changed like Angry Birds Rio = Angry Birds.
Some applications doesn't show in full screen (Voice Commands) it only shows like on a 3.2 inch screen size.
So I was wondering... it seems I have a very minor bug for those two problems above. I have try factory reset the problem still persist. is there any solution for this? Or it is a frimware bug...?
Firmware is 4.3.13.MB860.AsiaRetail.en.03 running on andorid 2.2.2. Stock rom/unrooted.

I second that. Unlock and try some custom roms. Or deal with your minor bugs. If its not crashing your phone or debilitating the app/interface then just go with it. Android isnt perfect. Neither is ios or symbian. Nor has there been perfect hardware.

If someone knows a fix, please post it here!
Some details: The game launches, shows me the yellow EA icon, takes me on to the opening cutscene, then loads and plays menu music, which has a slight lag in the beginning of it. Then nothing... After a while the phone kills the app, no error message.
Again ICS is not yet released you have a buggy beta test rom multiple problems .

Real racing 2 doesn't work on gingerbread, nevermind ICS.
Unless they have recently updated it, it crashes a few seconds into a race.
The work around was to not use cockpit view.... But this is the one I wanted to use.
The comments on the android market seemed to show similar problems from users with SGS2.

Agreed, I've had consistent FC's with Real Racing and that goes back to GB ROMs. You'd think EA would either update their software or take it off the Market. Bummer too, Real Racing is a kickass game in iOS. I'm on a i777.
I know this is in the galaxy s2 section, but it works perfectly on my HTC sensation, and I'm on ics now. So it's not the os at fault, but could it be to do with the tegra chip or some other hardware compatibility issue in your phones?

Have same problem after ICS update, tried to reach EA several times and no success. Also tried to refund on Google Plaay for the Real Racing 2 and no success..
So we have to wait an update, or a work around solution.
There is a new version floating around which works on ICS. Real Racing 2 v1.11.4.000540 HD. It is not available in the Google Market (play store) yet.

Compalitible with Galaxy S2 ?
Real Racing 2 is available free for the Galaxy S3 on the Samsung App Store. This Version did run on my GNEX as well. I had to sideload the 400 mb data file and turn wifi off. Otherwise a stupid alert would pop up.
Works on the S3 perfectly. Works on the GNEX with the workaround. I cannot comment on the S2 behaviour...
Bearing in mind that there IS a version running on ICS, we should see somthing on the Google Play Store as well...

Maybe this isn't so important, but for me it is, this was one of my favorite games, and I recently updated my wt19i to ICS, I have it rooted and all, and I can't play this game anymore, it loads and then i press play button but it doesn't do anything, even i press other buttons and nothing happens, only i can exit and that's it. Anyone has this problem? Maybe you can install the game and tell me if i'm the only one with this problem....
You should aware that not all android games are optimized for ics yet.
My suggestions try grab the apk from google, if that ain't working too, then go figure

Hi, i've installed NFS Shift on my WT19a with official ICS.
It's simple: game works, but the touchscreen is unresponsive.
What can i do?

DAFUQ! Now i just realized that if i put one finger everywhere on the screen (for example, a corner) and then use another finger for selecting buttons and options, the touch gives response! What can i do for repairing that?

I think it's not optimized; the game is from 2011 (?) for GB... i saw a video running NFS Shift fine in an Arc S with 4.0.3, so, why is not working good for me?
Havent tried nfs shift yet but I ve played modern combat 3, dead space, and max payne on ICS. And my conclusion is touchscreen cant be optimal.. Sometimes it wont work.. But work again after I restart the game.. And sometimes it work but mot with multitouch so its difficult to control the character..
The next new game released or some updates may overcome this trouble

i agree with u the solution is downgrade to gb ...it happen to me to even in gb i cant play THD games with chainfire without any problem but in ics i must use two finger to select .....
Hello my friends here in Xda well I have a Xperia St15i recently I upgraded to stock ICS via SEUS and rooted it with the method by downgrading it, anyway not important, all went just fine I was happy with the new ICS and everything, I installed my Fav apps and all just go working fine.
I installed this games: "angry Birds", "angry birds seasons", "Angry birds space","They need to be feed","NFS shift","Doodle Jump","aliens" and "androidify". in the past in my older devices with GB and Eclair stock rooms this games never gave me a problem even on the current ICS until few days ago.
the other day I was just playin "they need to be feed" when suddenly the touchscreen stop working ...?¿?¿?... no message alert of fc and nothing came up the game still running normally but when I touched the screen for playing it do nothing, anyway the back, menu and home buttons still working and i quit the game by preesing home button, the stock launcher and all the other functions in the phone all were normal even the touchscreen so it seeemed to me like some bug on the game and I tought it was because some incompatiblility issue of the game with ICS. that moment I was testing all the apps I have, until I tested the angry birds I enter the game and for my surprise the touchscreen didn't work on this game, I quited the game and entered the angry birds season....the same problem and finally the angry birds space with same results. the other games i tried were fine. it was some kind of issue with this four games all the rest in the phone were just fine. it was very weird for me so i restarted the phone and again launched "they need to be feed" game, for a moment all went just fine when suddenly again the same problem, so I decided to remove the app and restart again the phone, that was two days ago. when i was playing angry birds again it all go working fine I thought the problem was gone until yesterday when I was playing Angry birds Space and again stop working the touchscreen.
I don't know what is the problem...maybe the hardware? or the latest update of angry birds? maybe other app in conflict? like set cpu? I don't know anymore so please help me because is anoing have to restart the phone everytime....
I tought it was the pinch zoom in the game but when in gallery app all go normal...I don't know anymore please help me

As far as i know, those games didn't compatible enough to ICS. That need to fix is the APP, not PHONE or ROM. So just wait the app dev to fix it.

thnks!!!! I start to think that too, because is weird that the touchscreen didin't work just in those games, and it's not all the time, yesterday I played again angry birds space and nothing happened all was normal....maybe are the games as u said, thnks brooo
