[Q] Xperia U: Bootloader unlocking

I'm thinking of unlocking my bootloader. I've checked that it is possible for me, but I just have a couple of concerns about doing so and wanted to ask about them here, before I proceed with the unlocking procedure.
First off, I remember reading that with an unlocked bootloader, you are able to brick the phone completely, is this correct? How vulnerable will the phone be and is it easy to brick, will something go wrong easily?
Secondly, can you install roms that have been developed for the locked bootloader even when you have an unlocked bootloader?
Hmm... unlocking the bootloader voids my warranty but I remember that there were tutorials somewhere to re-lock the bootloader. If I lock it again, will my warranty be back to normal? (Are there traces that I have messed with the bl?)
I think that's all. Is there anything else that I should keep in mind before going ahead with the procedure?
Thank you in advance for your responses! Happy Thanksgiving!

There will be no traces only Samsung traces such things
You will not brick it but you should follow all steps correctly

If you follow all steps, you cant brick your device
With unlocking, you loose data - something like factory reset - so save your messages and contacts.
With data, you will loose DRM keys too - relocking wont give back these, keys are lost forever.
But with unlocked booloader, you can install new kernels..
And roms for locked bootloader? For example, there is cm9 for lockedBL and for unlockedBL - i would not worry about this.

[Go[need help regarding unlocking bootloader

I've heard that unlocking using Sony's method gives a bootloop. So we should use flashtool for unlocking the bootloader.
And the important thing, to use bravia engine even after unlocking bootloader that is not losing drm keys.
I read somewhere in xda that by making a ta backup, we can use bravia engine after relocking bootloader.
So I want to ask you all does there exist a chance of bricking my device forever while unlocking bootloader?
If so please give me some suggestions to avoid that!
If you can give me some tips while unlocking, it will be nice...
Btw I wanna flash cm11 in my xperia go

how to unlock bootloader

hello devs and members
i want to unlock bootloader of my d6503
how to do that
should i need to backup something?
before unlock bootloader
and bootloader unlocking is safe and to install roms like cm
Just follow original Sony guide. It may be a bit confusing for the first time but everything is described there.
Also before unlocking bootloader you may want to backup your TA partition. Just Google how to do it.
And yes, if you unlock your bootloader then you can install every rom.
I think there are guides on how to do what you want...
But make sure to backup EVERYTHING BEFORE you start the unlocking process.
Thank you sir for information
Unlocking bootloader is safe?
Unlocking your bootloader is perfectly safe, just make sure to backup everything since your phone(not your SD card though) will get wiped
thank you sir I backup my ta partition then I unlock bootloader. and now I'm using resremix latest version
Any way of unlocking the bootloader when the service menu says it can't be unlocked?

bootloader question

I gather that it is necessary to unlock the bootloader in order to root - is this possible to do on the Verizon version? If so, could someone point me towards a tutorial, as I have only found posts on rooting, not unlocking the bootloader.

locking the bootloader

I have a question regarding locking the bootloader, but I'm not sure if it's entirely possible.
Can I keep root access on the phone if I re-lock my bootloader?
