Did you get Tango without forcing it yet? - 7 Mozart General

Like the title says, did you get tango on mozart without forcing it yet?
Is it actually delivering to any mozart yet? Could we be waiting indefinitely here??
Since its a minor update i dont feel like forcing the updating, too tedious...but doesnt mean i dont want the update at all. So hopefully it is coming to all phones.

yep, got it on my unbranded mozart last week without forcing. unfortunately after the update i noticed 2 drawbacks: the keyboard automatically pops out after sending a text (it used to stay hidden), and sometimes there's a slight lag when going to the settings

So...its more like a downgrade than an upgrade
Orz...

yep, that lag can be really annoying, it's android all over again. can't wait for the 7.8 update

Received official Tango update on my unlocked Mozart last night.
Haven't noticed the keyboard popping "up" after sending a txt. It just stays in place after sending.
I have absolutely no lag when going into settings at all. Wasn't sure if you meant messaging settings or device settings so I tried both. No lag anywhere.
God I love WP!

Bugs Report on WM2003SE (V2.02)

dear all,
First of all, thanks dcs and all others who have contributed so much to the completion of WM2003SE. Somehow, I think I should start a thread stating people's experiences on WM2003SE bugs, so that some geniuses may find ways to fix them. Here is my report on 3 day-usage when compared to the older version 1.72
1. The voice call cannot be made longer than the time specified in the power saving mode. In other words, the voice calls will be cut off when the phone turns itself off. I didn't encounter this problem using older versions. And this is truly annoying since I have to untick the saving mode to prolong my calls
2. When the sms is sent, the confirmation letter box sign appears and never leaves the screen. it stucks there until soft reset
3. Power consumption is fast
4. Some of the today plugin programs are so fond of playing hide&seek. Refreshing the today screen mitigate this issue.
5. When in landscape mode, sometimes scrolling the screen can cause multiple horizontal lines.
6. Found out that the original camera and caller ID are not totally compatible. I gotta go back to using those of 1.72 version.
BTW, I gotta admit that I prefer WM2003SE to any other previous version
Any other comments?
Cheers,
Um, i have the modified asian to english version of SE.
I have none of the bugs that you have, but i have one other.
I cant get any ringtone when recieving a call.
mate,
i also live here in thailand and i just finished upgrading to the asian wm2003 se rom. no problems so far...only change i've seen is that when i reboot and try to access the phone immediately; there's a message saying "the phone is not yet ready, please try again in 15 seconds".
bt is fine; i THINK the blue led is flashing a little faster..but i could be wrong...
landscape mode is fine although as expected some games or apps have screens which are "cut up". this was warned when installing; a message appeared saying "the program you are installing may not display correctly because it is not designed for wm2003se"..or something like that.
power consumption seems to be the same...phone is ringing fine...though i still have to figure out if my ringtonex (mtux) is working properly...
so far so good and i like this rom. seems stable to me.
cheers then
rob
forgot to mention that i use animated today for themes, and the wm2003 se doesn't have any effect on it. works well even in landscape mode....
cheers
chinese font can't display with clear type mode in ENG SE
Hi,
I just upgraded to Eng SE. I love the SE upgrade except the following.
I have third party software ("Small Knife") installed in it so that I can read and type chinese. However, when I rotate it to SE mode, the fonts seemed ugly compared with portrait mode. It's definitely the clear font working not working in SE mode.
Any solution?

this sounds very much like the issue that people have when they set pocketplus or other programs to close applications insted of minimizing them
this happen on all 2002, 2003 roms
if people close outlook before the msg is sendt
of cause i dont know if SE have that bug no matter what
those are the issue on the ENG ROM
not happening to us on CH ROM

This is normal that happen in all roms, after reboot you have to wait for the phone to operate.
try different sim card, I got the same problems with OLD sim

[Q] Postpone ICS update possible??

Hi All,
Just wondering if there is any way to delay the ICS update more than 3 times...I've had my first reminder already and given some of the issues people have been having, it would be reassuring to leave it as long as possible....
Loving it so far, quantum leap from my old Archos 70 IT
I have managed to postpone it ever since it came out by simply hitting the back arrow at the bottom of the screen whenever the prompt to install pops up rather than hitting “postpone” on the prompt. If you hit postpone I believe it will force you to update after three days.
What I am concerned about now is that I will not receive any future OTA updates such as a fixed version of ICS if I do not install this one.

i757m JB 4,1,2 Lag Issues

Hi Folks,
This was the closet forum I could find for my phone. I actually have the GS2 HD LTE (i757) from Bell Mobility in Canada. Monday I finally received my Jelly Bean Update (4.1.2) I wish I could say I an excited however it has caused me so much stress, Ever since I installed it my phone has been terrible laggy. ICS gave me no troubles but after seeing the huge performance boost in my Wife's i9100m last month when it was available to hers I did not hesitate to update mine. Below I will list my symptoms, as well as the steps I have done to resolve this. I have search everywhere for an answer and have come up with nothing. Also to note, my Friend in the office has a Galaxy Note with a different provider (Telus) who received the update the same day, we can put our phones side by side and we both experience the exact same issue.
Setup:
i757 (S2 HD LTE)
Not Rooted
Symptoms:
Swiping to unlock is choppy
Opening Messaging to text takes three part (Loads the body, loads previous message and then keyboard loads in the middle of the screen and works its way down.
30-45 second pause to open the dialer
when clicking the power button to get to the lock screen it shows the desktop for a second, then god to my lock screen wallpaper then my lock screen icons appear. After this I can swipe.
loading apps
at startup RAM is 558MB/737MB. I hit clear memory right away it goes to 394MB/737MB. But open any app I am back up to to 550MB-600MB
Things I have tried:
Install install was Down with Kies as a regular update with all my Apps still installed.
I Wiped Cache and down a Factory Reset
Reloaded the Stock ROM with Odin3 v1.85
In developer options I disabled animation for Window, Transition and Animator
I disabled ripple effect for lock screen
I disabled Google Now
Tried to Wipe Cache then resume use without reloading OS
Tried Disabling GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi and sync.
Installed Android assistant to clean up startup
Did another Factory Reset/Cache Wipe then install OS from MSD
None of these options have made a difference. The phone worked flawlessly on ICS, I don't know what else I can do. Has anyone experienced this issue? and if so have they fixed it?
At this point I will try anything before I take out the hammer and fix it for good. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
- Boots!
Also my Current status is Factory Reset/Wipe Cache OS Installed from SD Card nothing install.

Hi,
I have the exact same symptoms on my SGH-i757m.
The phone is brand new! I got it for the job, in replacement of my s2-i9100. As soon as I got it, I had the official ICS, then JB done to it...and it is an absolute disaster up to now.
Sometimes I can't even take an incoming call because the ''incoming call screen'' (with the green and red phones logo) freezes, giving me the ''com.android.phone has stopped'' error.
I'll be looking out for solutions, but I might just take it back to ICS soon...

windex.
Please keep this thread in mind, Anything I can find I will post it here. If you could do that same that would be great. My S2-i9100 was amazing with the Official JB release also. I am surprised more people are not complain online about this as I know my friend with the Note on Telus is having same issue (Update was released the same time for him) I also called Bell and their Tech support said they were receiving alot of the same issues since the May JB update..
Damn Lag has got my phone!
AH! damn update lag has got my phone and my girlfriends too! We both have the samsung galaxy HD LTE I757M phone and have exactly the issues all of you guys have. From extremely slow response to flickering and its just a pain in the ass. My girlfriend tried a factory reset which worked for about a week with no lag or anything but then just started the same lag issues we all have. A lot of people apparently are reporting that a factory reset does the charm but its only a matter of time before the issues creep back to your phone. Right now I am going to try a custom rom for our phones and hope that it works. If it does Ill post the results for you guys to hopefully benefit from.

I was having the same problem with my I757M. This phone is fine on ICS 4.0.4.
I don't know the real solution but, the phone is fine (for now)

I installed JB 4.1.2 today, saw some improvements, hope it is fixed for good !
The ram usage on boot (369MB / 737MB)
Sorry to post again !!
Okay, it started to lag as described by others. So I went back to 4.0.4... The battery life is better on Jelly Bean because it can reduce the screen's power (not just brightness)
I did this today, my last attempt with JB...
In Dial :: *2767*3855# (it formats everything, even sdcard, so backup your things before doing this !!!)
I configured ICS from the welcome screen (no gmail configuration, etc.)
Installed JB 4.1.2 from Kies.
I disabled the programs mentionned at my previous post...
There was still a lag when unlocking the phone. Tried Holo Locker and didn't do anything... still lags.
Then, I searched on the net :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2224906
It seems TouchWiz has problems rendering Widgets on homescreen, so, I installed Nova Launcher to replace it.
For now, when receiving a SMS, after unlocking, the wallpaper can become black, but there is no lag like before. :good:
Same situation
My wife‘s i757m has the same situation. I wiped to factory and uninstall like "let's golf", google play music. Then it turned much better for about 1week and then be back lag lag lag again.
I have no idea why it is so ridiculous , cause my friend's I727(GS2HD rogers) is very good after he updated his in March.
Please help me SGH-1757M
I have the same Issues.
After upgrading the Phone to 4.1.2 bellow issues identified.
1) When Incoming call comes the Phone Frezes and Green and Red button on the screen does not work
2) Some times it works but when I get any call the Phone rings with black screen and after some time it comes with number and then caller id and then answer button
3) Every time when I went to Messaging it loads the messages with number and next updates the Caller ID and then body of the messages and text editor
4) Morning when alarm rings phone Freezes and does not allow me to stop the alaram and force restart the Phone.
I am having so amny problems like this .
Please suggest what we can do here to resolve these issues.

Need help! Messaging no longer works after upgrade to lollipop

The upgrade option came up late last night so I did it, I'm on Bell in Canada. After update was complete I can no longer text message. I only have the stock messaging software. If I try to start it all I get is a blank white screen with the messaging title at the top left. I tried downloading textra but it was stuck in setup forever so I uninstalled it.
I don't know or understand how to root, unlock, or flash, nor do I really have the time as I'm crazy busy at work. Does anyone have a solution? Texting is all I do on my phone, it's useless without this functionality. Please help!!!
Hi,
Did you solved the problem?
I had the same thing after the upgrade.
After installing some other SMS apps and few restarts, it started to work but all messages are lost.
I'm trying to find a way to recover them...

omadm notification cant be dismissed since july 1 update

phone: Samsung Galaxy s9+
android version: 10 (upgraded from 9, pushed out by tmobile)
one ui version: 2.1 (also pushed out by tmobile)
model #: sm-g965u1
Since the 7/1/2020 update, I get a notification from omadm that a firmware update is not complete. This notification cannot be dismissed, and omadm cannot be disabled. auto retries every 60 minutes.
Also, I get another notification that wakes the phone up every 60 minutes
"Attention android update is successful" I will get this same notification again in 60 minutes.
The phone was never rooted by me. But I did buy it used off of Amazon. Phone was working fine with android 9.
I'd just like to stop the notifications. Except for the notifications, the phone works. I can make and receive calls, texting works and I can browse the web. All of my apps work.
Does anyone know how to stop the notifications?
I've already tried removing my sim card. This doesn't do anything.
I had the same problem with an unlocked used S10+ I purchased on Amazon. I had to send it back for other reasons but I got similar notifications. This seemed to work for some people:
SOLUTION (AT LEAST WITH MY GALAXY NOTE 10 +)
Had the same problem on a Samsung Galaxy S10 and here's the solution that seemed to work:
Go to 'Settings' > 'Software update' and hit 'UICC Unlock'
It loads for a moment, then says SIM Restricted... Hit 'OK'
It takes you back to the 'Settings' > 'Software update screen'. Hit 'Download and install'
It loads for a moment, then says Your software is up to date...
Then open that notification saying the profile didn't update.
It loads for a minute, then says Profile updated... Hit 'OK'
It loads again for another minute and says something similarly. Hit 'OK'

This did not work.
wiping the cache did not work
resetting the phone did not work.
Every hour, the phone wakes up on it's own and does the failed to update thing.
I'd root the phone, but I found out the phone is basically unrootable
It's crap like this that makes me HATE androids, not that Apple is any better. Apples are basically built for morons.
BTW, I did not see what is posted in the above fix. It makes me think some guy put that on his website just to get clicks for the ads on his page.
I tried flashing, this did not work either. As soon as you accept any update from your carrier you get this error back. In my case initially, flashing the stock firmware seemed to work. I did not see the error. But the first update that T-Mobile sent to me was the time zone update, which I got After flashing the phone with the latest stock firmware from sammobile. As soon as I accepted that update, the error came back.
someone in the T-mobile forums suggested using ADB to remove omadm. This can be done as a standard user, apparently, something I did not know.
