[Q] Backup vendor partition in NEO - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hi
I'm using System Cleanup to move some application to vendor and system partitions . but it brings up some other issue! while nand backup via CWM works greatly, it doen't backup vendor partition. so I'm losing all the application moved there.
Is there any way to create vendor.img from phone?

Custom Recovery Backup

Hi All,
I recently purchased Lg O1. I have successfully installed Custom Recovery. I am confused about backup types. I have also installed touchscreen kernel. But is their is a axes inversion problem . As we you all know there are 3 types of backup ..
Backup/Restore:
Nand Backup : runs a nandroid backup of data, cache, boot, system
Nand Backup + .android secure : backs up above plus .android_secure on sdcard (froyo native apps on sd)
//Native app which notify "application can be moved into SD card" if you can move some app. It's good to use, if you used it.
Nand + ext backup : data, cache, system, boot, plus apps2sd on ext partition (old style apps2sd)
//old style apps2sd is used on some custom ROM because can move every application into SD card instead of Froyo's apps2sd
Which 1 should i do, mine is the stock firmware 2.2 10b..
Seeking your advice ..
Regards
Creedy
Nand Backup + .android secure.

[Q] CWM NAND Backup & Vendor Partition

is there a way (or modified CWM) to include vendor partition on NAND Backup by CWM?
Because ICS for xperia neo have the so called vendor partition...
You might try this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1645412
Good luck!

Full system backup

Could anybody link a full system backup for the redmi 6a which includes the vendor partition? I backed up my device but didn't back up the vendor partition and broke the vendor partition so it's not booting anymore.
Could someone at least post a backup of the vendor partition from twrp? Much appreciated!
Thank you

How to backup internal storage without twrp or apps?

I want to know how to make a complete backup of internal storage (ie. Sdcard0) without using a patched twrp or and apps. Is it as simple as zipping up a single directory?
Ideally I want this to complement my twrp backup of the system partitions.

What to select for nandroid backup?

I know this should be pretty basic, but I've found some conflicting information online. I'm running crDroid at the moment and I'd like to make a perfect backup that will restore the entire system, apps, and app data as it was at the time of backup.
TWRP offers me 14 partition options for backup:
Spoiler: Partitions
Data (excl. storage)
Cache
System
System Ext
Vendor
Boot
EFS
Android Secure
Modem
Persist
Recovery
Internal storage
System Image
Vendor Image
If I understand right based on the TWRP FAQ, then backing up "System Image" and "Vendor Image" should be what I need. Have I got that right?
You are right System Image and Vendor Image, but also add Data and for kernel add Boot and Dtbo.
Those partitions need to be recovered to get your old ROM back.
Once you should backup EFS which contains IMEI and also Persist if the recovery supports it.
EFS and Persist should only be recovered when you really need to.
Happy flashing.
