you are correct ranger

Try removing your sd card. Small chance that it may be causing the issue. Why would someone remove the info stickers? Is it stolen?

1. Shut down the phone, pull out the battery and the SIM card.
Check SIM card in another phone.
If the SIM card is corrupt, get a new one from your mobile provider.
If it is OK, put in into your phone again, put the battery in again and start the phone again.
2. If that does not help, try to toogle between flight mode on/off.
Wait some seconds to be sure that the phone really switched the mode.
3. If that does not help, have a look here (=> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1131950) to get a new modem/phone/baseband file, and flash it with Odin to your phone.
4. If that does not help either, you may have to flash a new ROM to your phone and do a factory reset.
For Official Firmwares have a look at Intratech's thread => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
There you will find everything you need and a description of how to flash.
Good luck !

no signal, no IMEI, phone says insert sim

My phone all of a sudden was on flight mode by itself one day and i tried to turn it off every possible way but it said flight mode disabled in settings and turning it on did nothing. i couldnt make calls or even recieve a signal and the bluetooth did not work but wifi was still functioning. i tried a few different things to try rectifying the situation and eventually just did a hard reset including reformatting usb storage. all this did apart from delete all my crud was fix the bluetooth but i still cannot recieve a cellular signal and my phone doesnot have imei and always says insert sim when its in. i tried a different sim in my phone and it still the same result. however i tried my sim in someone elses phone and it worked fine. i am convinced this is souley a software problem as my phone has worked in thialand and here in colombia perfectly fine untill this flight mode glitch i have reviewed other Q&A however i could not understand the soloutions at all so please if you offer a soloution write asthough a 12 year old was going to follow the instructions as i am not a software technition.

Problem with my phone (firmware)

Hello Guys. I have a SAMSUNG (WCDMA) galaxy S II GT i9100 (CMIIT ID: 2011CP2751)
Is from Koreea, original device. I rooted this phone using odin, i flashed a european firmware, because on his original firmware i had restrition on apps. Recently, i gave him hard reset (wipe data factory reset, wipe cache) and after rebooting,he shows me the steps for configuration (language, wifi, samsung account, etc) and at this time it rebooting and is stuck on samsung logo. Now i have to flash again but i don t know baseband version. I downloaded a firmware and shows me FAIL when i flashed with odin. I need this baseband version. Cand i find if i know the IMEI ? or can anybody help me?
I think you can find 'the best match' using chimera software which has sort of a firmware search for your phone's serial (11 characters long).
Your phone serial should be under your battery, somewhere near the IMEI.
If you want to use chimera, after you've registered, logged into the software and all that annoying stuff connect your phone, and after it gets recognized go to "Firmware Update" and complete the "serial number" field press "Autodetect latest" and it should give your some sort of a match. At least that worked for me.
Or PM me with the serial if you want to skip all the registering stuff because I already have a working account.

Need help on odin and choosing the right firmware[ Soft brick ]

Hi,
So I tried rooting my Samaung Galaxy Grand Prime+ (SM-G532F/DS) but it failed and now it won't turn on. I can go to download mode and that's it. No recovery mode. When I turn it on it gives a message "An error has occured while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC app."
I tried Smart Switch but the problem is it does not accept my phone model name [SM-G532F/DS] however if I change it to SM-G532F without /DS it will continue to ask my S/N but when I type it in and hit ok it asks me to check my model name and s/n. What can I do?
And after reading on and on about "soft brick" and failed root attempts I found out that I can manually flash firmware to fix the soft brick issue. But it still has some problems, I don't know where and how to choose the right firmware, and how to install it.
tl;dr Smart switch doesn't accept my phone model name and s/n. And I don't know how to choose the right firmware to flash using odin.
What I have:
Access to pc.
Samsung drivers are installed.
My phone's model name and serial number.
I enabled developer mode in the settings before it was bricked and turned on oem unlock and usb debugging so theoritically it should still be available.
What I know:
Smart Switch does not accept my phone's model name with serial number. So it won't work.
Android version: 6.0.1
It was Saudi Arabian variant, bought from saudi.
What I don't know:
How to choose the correct firmware to be used with odin.
My phone software details.
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
MODEL: SM-G532F/DS
SSN: -G532F/DSGSMH
FCC ID: A3LSMG532F
Help me choose the right firmware please.

[HELP] Kies 3 Problem "please check the model name and s/n, and enter them again"

[HELP] Kies 3 Problem "please check the model name and s/n, and enter them again"
My phone was broken after my nephew borrowed it from me around 2 days ago. I have a Samsung J5 phone, and ever since then, whenever i tried to power on the phone, it stuck at the Samsung logo and won't ever turn on, it just stays there forever. Because of that, i tried to use kies 3 to get the data from my phone, or if possible, fix it as well. When i tried the option "Firmware Upgrade and Installation", it asks for the Product Name and the S/N.
After i put my Product Name, which is SM-J500G, and put my S/N correctly, for some reason it says
"Please check the model name and s/n, and enter them again"
I tried different methods and whatnot, but none of it actually worked. If i change my S/N with my IMEI, it doesn't work either.
Can anyone here help explain how kies 3 work so i'll be able to get back to my data, or if possible, even fix my phone? Quiet desperate here. Any way at all?
Edit : I can't access the USB debugging option since i can't even open my phone. But i can access my Download Mode. I don't know what to do.
