Camera cannot focus in SGS III - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Just now i flashed the Omega 8.1 ROM on my SGS III. After that my back camera (8mp) is not focusing on anything even after manually touching the screen to focus.
Anybody can advice anything to solve this.
Thank and regards.

My SGS III details as below:
Model - GT-I9300
Android - 4.0.4
Baseband - I9300XXLFB
Kernel - 3.0.15-782020-user se.infra.......
Build - Omega v8.1 - XXBLFB
Appreciate if somebody can help me. Thanks.

I had this issue as well, although it happened randomly. I ended up having to replace the handset.

[Q] GPS navigation jerky after flashing to Omega 16.2 (was fine in 4.0.4)

Hello all,
I am a newbie and I just recently rooted and flashed my SII (for the very first time) concretely to Omega v16.2 Jelly Bean 4.1.2. So far I am very happy with this ROM however I noticed that my GPS navigation software (Sygic) is very jerky (meaning the position arrow is not moving smoothly but it "jumps"). The very same version of Sygic did not have this issue in the original 4.0.4 ROM where I come from.
Any idea what could be causing it and how could I get rid of this jerkiness?
Thank you in advance for any comment.

Try using chainfire's gps patch.

Using GT - I9100
I thank those who give helpful comments
I expect the same from others.
Hmm this patch does seem to fix the problem indeed! Thank you
Does it mean that Omega 16.2 contains some different approach to GPS compared to the original 4.0.4?

[Q] error Jelly Bean - S2

Hello, I have a Galaxy S2.
I installed Jelly bean with Odin.
At version I9100XWLSD I don't have Nature UX interface. Also I do not have access to Dropbox.
With test version XXLSJ , everything is OK.
Please help me, what is the problem?
thanks!
Even it's not the last one, just try the LS8. Maybe it's fine there, too.
Btw, no idea what's the problem.
If u not had only missing the things and also problems, I would say flash again, but doesn't listen like a bad flash.
CHEERS
Sent from my GT-I9100 with RootBox
Dropbox is only included in LSJ.

[Q] Camera screen blank

Hi, my camera app (or any camera app for that matter) won't show what I'm shooting at but instead a blank screen. I can take a picture and it still works but it's a little hard to know what I'm shooting at. I tried instagram and tumblr and had the same problem. I've tried installing a camera rom from xda forums VR Stock AOSP Camera Build6 with no luck. I'm at a loss as to what to do here because I use my camera frequently and have run out of ideas. Someone please help me. My phone is an AT&T Samsung Galaxy SII which is rooted, if that helps. Thanks in advance. I noticed earlier that when I give up and press the back key for just a second I can see a blurry picture instead of the blank screen. What could be causing this. I'm running Siyah 3.4.2 on an i777.

Siyah 3.4.2. is old and outdated, so if you're running a newer rom with it you'll have trouble like this. Before anyone can properly help you, what rom are you trying to run with 3.4.2?
ROM
Well I was running carbon at first but was disappointed with it so I went back to the factory ROM. I'm doing some research now to try and pick a new ROM to go with. I reflashed my phone with Odin and am now running Android version 4.0.4 Kernel version 3.0.35-Siyah0v3.4.2. Should I be choosing a different kernel? Update I'm now using Android version 4.0.4 and Kernel version 3.0.15-0-Siyah-s2-v4.1.5+
Problem Solved
Flashed a new kernel to upgrade to 4.1.2

[Q] Sony Xperia Active CM10 No Camera

Hey there guys,
I recently hit a problem on rooting and installing cm10 on an Xperia Active.
Here the actual facts:
Android 4.1.2,
CyanogenMod: 10-20131006-NGIHTLY-satsuma,
Kernel- Version: 2.6.32.61-MESA-HYBRID-v4.8 (seems to be the only kernel working since I receive a black screen using the kernel delivered in the cm10 Rom from above)
So here the Problem: There is no camera app on the device right now. Installing the Honami- Camera doesn't work either.
Any ideas? I'm pretty new in this Rooting/ Custom- ROM stuff, so please don't kill me if the solution is obvios.
Regards glu
