Ok. Sorry. Haha. Just thought you were one of those people that tries to get a point across with caps. Not sure what to tell you beyond renaming it and putting it in system/media. That's the only way I've ever done it.

Lol...actually I found it right after I posted that. Downloading it now along with his AOSP ICS kernel. Taking a long time but I can wait.

Old notification sounds...anyone have them?

I just upgraded to the AOKP ICS rom and I've lost my favorite text message notification sound (the bottle opener). I've looked all over the place for a pack of the old notification sounds, but they all seem to have only a few of the ones I used to have, and none of them have the one I used to use. Can anyone who has that bottle opener sound dump their notifications and ringtones for me?
Thanks!
Just rip the sound file out of the rom u were on before....kinda a simple fix my friend. if u were on stock and don't have a nandroid, just find the firmware on here and download it and there it is.
Sent from my SGH-I777 using Tapatalk 2
Or try Zedge from the market and see if its on there
Not sure why I didn't think to extract them from the ROM...it is a .zip after all.
Thanks!
Thanks. I was wanting that sounder also.

Would it be possible to re-up this? I sorely miss it as well and cannot for the life of me remember which ROM I was using when I had it! Thanks!
EDIT: Never mind. Found it! It was in one of my previous MIUI ROMs. Sorted. Thanks!

I assume you think we're all retarded and/or just plain stupid?
You posted the EXACT same file as being your "Skyrocket port" with "custom booting kernel!"
Seems Legit.

You didn't change anything, just like you didn't change the original dump to "work with the skyrocket," where you claimed to have added a "custom booting kernel," when in reality the only way it even partially booted is because your system dump doesn't have a kernel and used whatever one you were using prior!
The checksums are the same between the files you posted for the Skyrocket and for i777... Care to explain that?

Yeah just wait for the trusted i777 devs to have a look and weigh in, similar to when unknown folks were dropping ICS roms left and right a couple months back.

In other words he just packaged up the system dump without any real work into making it so that it doesn't brick anything? Shocking

flashable zip problem

I'm trying to make a flashable zip that doesn't involve an apk, but sadly most of the guides/tools i find relate to apks. Is there a guide that will work for any file?
I don't know how to make them, but I do have a blank one you can use to look through of you like. I too would like to know how to handle the updater-scripts so I have a better understanding.

Yeah, I have some blank one's too. The updater scripts seem to be my issue as well. I miss the old days of just being able to create a zip without all the fuss of those scripts.

Went back to an 08/13 JB Rom

The last few new ones caused havoc on my SD card. I had all kinds of files & folders that wouldn't show through the USB on my desktop. I hate it because I like the latest & greatest.
Good for you.
Its nice that you had the option to choose which ROM works for you.

Not to be rude but why start a thread for this instead of bringing it up in the Q&A thread for the PA rom? You might have gotten a way to fix that problem.

No offense taken. I forgot which Roms I had this trouble with. I was hoping others might've had this problem too and would've chimed in.

Im trying to find a guide to mod the status bar.......

The title says it all... What im trying to achieve is to make the status bar semi transparent, and center up the clock. Im currently running scotts rom, I kindof like the stock look. Any help would be appreciated!!!

It will teach you the things you need to know to begin to LEARN to theme any rom.
The status bar is in SytemUI - after that you need to learn and experiment. Every ROM is different, sometime the files are in different diretories.
And on top of that each time the dev releases a new version you have to extract the .apk and re-theme it in case they made some changes.
It's a good starting point,
REMEMBER TO ALWAYS make a backup in recovery before you flash your themed apps, cuz even though I think I know what I'm doing, I've bootlooped them more than once!!!!
Another great tool is software called beyond compare.
Break apart the apks, put stock beside a molded stock one and see what was changed. You'll learn a good bit doing that
