Installing incorrect ROM version caused this problem, for example installing Mini Pro(SK17) when you actually have Mini(ST15).

"fm" stands there for firmware. To download stock firmware, check the links in signature, I have uploaded some of them there.

If you unlocked the official way, then use the Relock_bootloader.ftf file and flash it via Flashtool.
If you didn't use S1Tool, then don't use it now either.

Hi,
I need some help. I just upgraded my firmware to 6.0.a.3.75 using the Update Service and I would like to root my phone.
So I need to follow this tutorial to unlock the bootloader:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527159
Then I use FlashTool with the firmware LT26_6.0.A.3.76_TW or LT26I_6.0.A.3.75_CE1
and then I use fastboot, with the file KA_Xperia_S_prerooted_76TW or KA_Xperia_S_prerooted_75CE from this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1685672
That is correct?
How do I know which region of my current firmware?
And what this means: "Also this is ONLY RECOVERY for now! You cannot boot the actual system with it!"
What is the difference between recovery and the actual system?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527133
thanks and Sorry for English

i know that. the reason i want the .ftf is because
i have already downloaded the .62 via ota and ready to install. and when its about to install the fw my phone reboots then after that, it says 'could not install' on my notification bar. i dont know why.
this happens when im on locked/unlocked bootloader.
but anyway, i hope .62 is much better than .58.
Yes. It happens when you have unlocked bootloader.. DRM keys are lost and Official updates don't work.
Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30731936

The same thing happened to me. Exact same update. Install successful, root stayed. And further, the updatw reinstalled some default apps which I had deleted, like Play Now, AppXtra, etc. (the ones delete-able even without root).
