I have been on a mission to find a case with great protection for my note.
I like the otter box defender but its just ugly on a white phone.
Not a big fan with the back of the commuter.
The case mate tough case just seems to be missing something lol

The last one i have it on White and Red didn't like it very dificult to take the Spen out of the Note..is hard case first and the silicon part...
i have a TPU and a Zenon Capsule on mi Note post pics in a little while..

Thanks! S-pen wouldnt be an issue for me. I don't use it. I used the box wave case white and clear but couldn't use my volume buttons with it.

How about something like the otter or seido active? Only you could paint the outer shell part. I'm thinking I'm going to paint mine again, this time white. I painted it the first time when I had some expensive paint mixed up and it was better then wasting it. It came out really well, plus matches one of my firearms. I think the black and white will look better together, but the coyote tan looks nice too.

that's a mighty fine 1911 ya got there how do you like that seido case? I looked at them. I was really looking into one that has a hard case with a silicon/neoprene outer case. I just like the feel.
I want the case mate pop but they don't make it I emailed case mate telling them I want it lmao

I have a safe full of em but that one is my baby. Nothing fancy and probably the cheapest of the lot, but was my first.
The case is pretty damn good. The holster broke but was replaced with proof or receipt. (Thats why I always use Google checkout). The case itself has absorbed many drops. Had the otter box been out I probably would have gone that route for better protection, but the seido gives good protection for a somewhat slim package.

I don't have a case for my phone, otherwise I'd post it.
I'm contemplating about getting a slim case though. But I have a car mount, and then a desktop dock. I know that if I got a case, these would be rendered useless.
This is true my bezel around the screen has began to break off. So I have no choice other than put a case on it. I have already broke one and would like to make this one last

I've been using this case from day one. It does the job, with little bulk and added kick stand. Quick note: the case does get dirty after use or if placed in jean pocket will turn slight tint of blue.

So they finally arrived and I couldn't be any happier!
My first impression with both cases and holsters is that they're perfect, they're totally what I wanted. Rugged, easy, and cool.

Reason I asked is from what I understand, Seidio makes the Platinum Cases for Best Buy. That'll give you a good look at what the Sedio will be like.

I had a Seidio Active case on my Skyrocket. Personally, I think it's the absolute best compromise there is for size vs. protection. For the Skyrocket, I used it as my everyday case. I just ordered one for my Note.
My only complaint is that the rubber is a little too grippy, which makes it a slightly harder to get in and out of pockets than a tpu case. And it will collect lint. The one for my Skyrocket got better the more I used it though.
Nice, glad to hear ur getting good use out of it. I rocked the otterbox commuter on my gnex for a long while and the rubber part definitely collects lint. Microfiber cloth once in awhile cleans it up pretty well. I'm definitely interested in seeing how the rubber from the active compares to the commuter

The Seidio Active will be half the size of the Otterbox products.
Just received mine and I love it!! Kickstand is nice and sturdy and easily goes in and out of my pocket..
Now I just gotta get the holster and im set!!
Cool, I'm looking forward to using the kickstand too. I'm not a fan of docks and the kickstand will be nice for laying it sideways upright on the desk for sure

I actually decided to return the case for a few reasons.
1. The kickstand feels cheap. It is a very light plastic with a small magnet embedded on one side of it. I like how the magnet makes it snap into place but it feels like it could easily snap off when open.
2. I don't like the ridges on the soft silicone. It makes it too difficult for me to remove from a pocket.

I got my TPU case for under $3. But I wouldn't pay more than $7. Personally, I would wait until the phone is officially out before purchasing.

That's my theory right now. The only thing I have bought so far are NFC tags but they should work on any NFC enabled phone.
I'm also curious if there is a truly clear tpu case (or otherwise).
Not translucent white, smoke, etc. A truly colorless clear case.
So far all I have is a skinomi shield which protects against scratches but not impact.

I'm guessing that the one I bought on Ebay is as clear as they can get, for TPU. I can read through it,so it's fairly clear.

Yeah, I'm looking for one that is colorless and clear. So if I were to put it over a black phone, it would still appear to be black.
I would consider the one in your link to be translucent white. To me, a clear case allows whatever color is below it to show through transparently.
I guess they can't make TPU transparently clear.
I have a clear case for the 3vo and after a while of use it turns brownish clear and looks awful but with the fact that they are cheap I guess $5 for a few months of coolness wouldn't be to bad. just don't expect it to stay clear clear forever

That's a good point. I hate seeing that yellowish plastic. I think I'm going to go with one of the tpu-cases.com now. They look pretty good.

I ordered that same case... Not impressed. The inside is frosted causing it to not be clear. I'm also waiting on a perfectly clear tpu, which they CAN make....I had one for the the EVO 4G...
I want one soooo bad, I need to show this work off....

I still love my Bodyglove case. It's a hard two-piece case the perfectly slips over the phone. The red looks really nice. I've had it for a short while, still like it. Dropped the phone a few times no damage. Although once on a hardwood floor the bottom of the case popped off (kind of like when you drop a phone by itself the battery cover pops off).

I dropped mine on concrete from 5 feet in the high gloss silicone case from vzw on day 2. It's still flawless.....
I use the standard kickstand case on htcpedia. Has a beltclip. Case is slim and tight. Doesn't cover the very top or bottom.

Use one of those with my extended battery for road trips. It is sturdy and clean. Hard case for the stock battery.

The newer hard cases like mine from vzw fit standard and extended. My soft case is for extended only. I have a slim hard case for standard only.

I'd like one too. I usually use the silicon one from VZ if I have one on but I can't stand how cheap it is. And I wouldn't mind one that's thinner too. Really just to protect against scratches and keep the camera lense off of the surface or a table lol. This phone feels great without a case, not so great with one. Does anyone know the thickness of the silicon ones? I see that the seidio cases are 2.0 - 2.2 mm thick

Incipio has two sweet cases for under 30 bucks. One is a little bit bulkier than the other but both are much smaller than the otterbox case. They both come with screen protectors as well, just know that they are about 1/8 inch short all the way around. Check out there website.. Incipio.Com

It's very good quality. It's a two-piece design that slide and lock together so it will not fall off when dropped. Also, there is felt on the inside of the case so your phone doesn't get scratched.

I saw these the other day when I was looking, they look pretty nice, but I was wondering if the power button is hard to push cuz it looks like its covered
The two piece case actually makes it easier to hit the power button and volume buttons. The feather case makes it more difficult. I really haven't been using my feather because of this fact.

I've ordered a black and orange one, never heard of them before and don't know what the quality is like, but for a fiver can't really grumble if they turn out to be cheap. Will add more of a review when I get it in hand to use.

The description says pu leather, that's polyurethane leather, also known as "pleather". Another way to say fake leather made from a plastic material.
It might not look bad in person, and given how thin it will be it's probably more protection than real leather.

It might not look bad in person, and given how thin it will be it's probably more protection than real leather.

Lol, probably should have read the whole thing, I wouldn't buy something like this without other reviews. I wish someone would make a carbon fiber back for it, that'd be sweet

I'm sure that dBrands will make a vinyl skin that looks like carbon fiber and improves the grip. They have great reviews for all their skins on the Nexus 4 thread. No impact protection of course but excellent scuff/scratch protection, easier to grip, and good looking.

I recall someone in the forums of one of the older phones I owned, might have even been the Note 2, got some 3M type carbon fibre vinyl sticker, of sorts, and covered the stock cover with the stuff. Looked pretty sweet, not sure how well it would work on the Note 3 cover considering it has that fake stitching, but if you could find some cheap enough, it could be worth a go. What have you got to loose?

The Speaker is on the bottom of the phone.

Just got mine today. Overall i'll say it's ok. The quality of the cover feels a little more plastic as compared to the original but once you snap it onto the N3, you can't really tell cos it's fits very well. The one plus point about this cover compared to the original is that it does not get any finger prints and does not feel oily. The textured surface is just right IMO. Does not feel too rough. Attached some pictures for those interested.

Absolutely .... I would expect the other colors to be available soon. Waiting on this in white, or maybe the Glacier Otterbox Commuter. I need something other than this crappy Incipio Feather case I have. I should have never bought this case when I got the phone. But something is better than nothing I guess.
I haven't dropped the phone yet, but I know it's coming. Probably the first mfr to release in the color I want will get my money. Just kind of ridiculous that the big names in protection are always the last to produce the cases.

Mine was ordered on the 27th, and arrived today. Interestingly enough, it appears to be branded as the "Forte" now. This will be my third "Active" case (or, rather, my third Active "combo" because I use the holster), and this one seems even better in fit and finish than its predecessors. I'm very pleased with the purchase. Hopefully the Spigen glas.tr screen protector I ordered will eventually arrive. They seem to be having some shipping delays.

Could you post some pictures and more thoughts after using it? How soft and how much lint does the rubber attract? I'm trying to decide between this and Urban Armor Gear. I prefer the UAG for looks and protection but loved my kickstand on my Note 2's active case

How slick is the back hard plastic part? The one for my gs3 was super slick and I couldn't use the phone.
It's fairly slick. I have no worries that it will drop from my hand though. Being familiar with their line, this case does seem a little different. The tpu case, is a bit looser than previous models, that's probably the biggest difference. I just received mine this morning, I am a little disappointed. The shell itself has a little bump by one of the corners.
It doesn't feel as solid to me either. I've had many of their cases, this being the first I am not 100% happy with. I took the tech21 case off, which I now realize, was a pretty damn good case. I'm going to see how this goes for the rest of the day, but sadly, I'm leaning towards returning it.

Thanks for the review this is exactly the info for I was looking for. I hated how soft the tpu inner was on my note 2. Huge lint magnet and the bottom piece over the USB port stretched after a few months and looked horrible. Looks like I'll be going with the surface or UAG.
