Does 1.9Ghz take a dump on the battery life? How much is it worse by? Hopefully not completely in relative to the clockspeed...

i'll get through the day today without charging and moderate use. maybe an hour on the phone. watched half of thor on netflix and read about six chapters of a book on amazon app. it came off the charger around 10am today and will run out around 2-3am im guessing.
**** is snappy man. love it
the trick is to make sure you always charge with the charger the phone comes with to make sure your note is going into deep sleep. besides it only hits 1.9ghz when it needs to. it doesn't run at that speed constantly although you could force it to if you wanted but that would surely eat the battery alive and i'd be scared of frying the processor

I just stomped the Galaxy S II

So I just got a benchmark of almost 4900. Beating out the Galaxy S II at 1.5 ghz.
Honestly, it doesn't mean a lot, but hey, I am just happy to be faster than that phone. Haha.
How many IO tweaks did you do? :3

You'd have to talk to Joker. I'm running his ROM. But I figured for ****s and grins I'd try Shabby's little script for dual core. And it seems to work. So thanks Shabby. Though I haven't been able to get that high everytime, I've hit a couple decent bench's at 4700+

Ya but for stock other than oc the att note is scoring as fast or faster than international which is sweet.

Well from what I've noticed this thing has amazing gaming performance ... silky smooth. I'm not sure why the bench isn't higher because it feels like it should be.

I get 3900 in quadrant and 7500 in antutu. I removed a lot of bloat though this is only at 1.79GHz.
Yeah I hadn't hit that forum yet today. I just saw it. Don't know if I want to root this bad boy yet

Dont know? I didnt even have to think about that one. I cant wait for a custom rom to get rid of this stock ****. Maybe a CM7 port for right now and CM9 when ICS comes out.
No kidding rooting and oc'ing is what I do first! Thanks to Da_G for working hard getting that done.

7660 Antutu, 101 linpak...
6284 on Antutu and 2221 on Quadrant...that seems really bad
I just ran antutu v2.6 AND i'M GETTING 6222, which is about average considering that I haven't rooted and am using a launcher. Interestingly though I'm getting a CPU frequency of 384-1180MHz when I go to information on Antutu. It does show 1512MHz on the score page, could it just be a mistake in the information section? I hope its not hitting a wall at 1180 during the benchmark.
International version for your reference so you don't have to cross forums.
Ran it 3 times with the same results.

My sgs2 gets 3600. Your sgs2 is running a cheaty kernel which inflates the i/o score in quadrant.
The one x / evo lte score increase is entirely due to faster CPU/ram.
I remember the OG Evo had the snap kernels that used to cheat a bit.
Anyone else notice he used the old quadrant which scored way higher than the new one.

3.7 versus 3.8 volt batteries

So a guy at my work wants to sell me his battery from his dead rezound but it is a 3.7 volt battery mine is a 3.8 I remember reading something a long time ago about 3.7 volt batteries . Will it work without issues? Will verizon exchange it for 3.8?

3.7 runs cooler than the 3.8.... people were trading in their 3.8s for 3.7s
On gingerbread the 3.8 got much better life than the 3.7, on ICS it's about the same
Back in the early days of ICS for us, the 3.7v batteries (I believe) wouldn't charge past about like 87 ish percent while the phone was on, but the 3.8v would charge fully. We don't have that issue now though, there's no real difference anymore.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA Premium.
I've both. The 3.7 barely holds a charge for me, takes only two hours of screen on time to kill the battery and that's on wifi so go figure...
My 3.7 on the other hand..

What application did you used in performing such test? You can overclock the gpu and cpu for better results. And also..turn off the power saving mode before benchmarking because it affects the result.
Benchmarks have nothing to do with real-world usage, in fact many optimizations for real-world usage will cause Quadrant to massively drop.
It there anything performance-wise you are unhappy with and if so: whah.
I'd strongly recommend retaining from overclocking unless you know exactly why you need it and what you are doing (something 99% of people don't seem to get)
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
No i dont need any overclocking.. i used Antutu.. getting just 50% marks in a test.. that was bothering me.. otherwise performance wise theres absolutely no problem..

You should do the benchmark test when your phone is cool.
I've noticed that I get about 12K when it's cool, and about 8K-9K when it's after some use.
