This is great news! Just a few questions to the devs:
- Are the Adreno2xx/GPU/hardware acc drivers running on it?
- Is the wifi and mic functionality stable?
- Google Play store able to install apps?
- Is Project Butter noticeable?

Nice work, glad to see JB development. Looks pretty fast and hopefully ICS drivers won't be too much of a pain to port to JB.

this gonna make hp touchpad another 9.7inch tablet first with jellybean.
i remember we got ics before every tablet have it also.
thx cm team.

so I'm running JB on my Samsung Epic 4g. Yes you will note the difference from ICS.

Relax, the guys in the CM team are really good at what they are doing, just because they hit a wall doesn't mean they wont get past it.
And then he posted this right after.
ATM we have a show stopping bug on the Touchpad with the input system that I haven't been able to workaround. No idea how long it will take

It's dalingrin, the main developper of CM7 for our TouchPad (among other projects)

Ridiculous. You are running cm on your tp and don't even know whose hard work it is! Where is the appreciation?
I must be missing something here they haven't even released a beta for cm7 so how can a ics ROM be ready?
They've done a lot of the hardware work already, which will carry over to CM9. When the ICS source dropped, they turned toward developing that into a workable port. That's what the plan has always been. A number of big issues have been fixed since the most recent alpha even, so the lack of a gingerbread-based beta has little bearing on how soon we would see an ICS release.

yeah.. this is THE REAL ICS.. here is the thread from today http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1391209 i've tryed the rom.. for an early beta it works great.. but it needs some heavy optimizations.. it lags when you scroll and force closes here and there but it's a great way to see what's coming next
Lol yeah this is real ICS guys, check the General section you can find the ICS odin file there

No, it barely works. It's very laggy and TW looks unfinished. Performance is very poor compared to 2.3, the drivers need to be improved a lot. Seeing the actual status of development i also highly doubt that we'll see an official release on january, this is just a very, very early beta, it's just a tiny bit more usable than cm9 leaks and looks way worse...
I only tried SunSpider and Quadrant before going back to GB. 2200ms and 1800 Quadrant.

It really shouldnt take them very long. google did a great job with jellybean. making it extremely compatible with all kinds of hardware. for ics we had to pull ~50 commits to frameworks from qcom to get display working. on jellybean...zero. it just works. no hacks required. google really outdid themselves this time. (also cudos to caf for releasing the display drivers same day!!) just took me 3 days to realize that yea they do work lol.
So in theory it shouldnt be too hard to get jellybean up and running on devices that have aosp 4.0. Correct?

Yea any device that already has ics should be pretty painless for the oem to upgrade to jellybean.

Could be because I think that sense 3.6 is garbage and 40 is way better lighter and more responsive or at lest by me using it it seemed like that. But if they do decide to do that I thing they should bring sense 4.0 to all capable devices
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using xda premium
i think once a fully working jb rom is up and a sense 4 the hard part is gonna be picking new version of sense (i love sense) or new version of android(off line voice typing and google now just way too cool)
I created an "everything jellybean" disscussion sticky thread. Please keep all jellybean discussiin there. Thank you.

They are actually working OT on getting things done. According to the other site so far Kernel is done, new ROM is done and they are just waiting on the new recovery to get done to marry everything together properly. Looking forward into trying it out.
Say 1gb of ram really. It was built for the nexus phone's and tablets at the moment. I tried to install it on my vs gtablet and no dice.

yea i was working on this for awhile before cm9 and cm10 were mostly stable for the amaze, but then i kinda put it on the back burner and left before i was able to finish it. i know chevycowboyusa can iron it out for all of you
i would recommend rebasing it on the latest cm10/10.1 that should make it smoother.

Thanks!

Another creation by good old Ziggy. You themed it to look like xperia too! Chevy will perfect it though so don't worry.
And also, you guys beat me too it!
I was actually planning to make an Xperia ROM, I have recently acquired the apps, libs, and stuff. Maybe I can make an Xperia app work!
It will likely have everything working if I decide to make one since it will be on a 3.6 base!
