stack for picture frame widget - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I saw in the Galaxy Nexus that the picture frame widget showed a stack of pictures, and you could swipe through them to move through the stack.
The widget preview for the picture from widget in the S3 shows this same arrangement. However, when I actually add the widget to my home screen, it is just a single picture. I can make it so it has a few panes, but it is still a flat arrangement.
Is there any way to get the stack view for the picture frame widget, or has it been removed entirely?

picture frame widget

Is there any way to create a slide show in this widget ? And is there any way to use it as a pip ? Meaning could i play a movie in the little frame and touch outside to swap screens just like pip on a tv an multi task ( answer a text or email with out stoping the movie)?
There might be a 3rd party widget on the market somewhere to do the slideshow. It's unlikely that anyone would make a video player widget like that though. Just bookmark your spot and continue where you left off. It's not like you can watch and text at the same time

[Q] Gallery app glitch - upside down pics & odd display

I've noticed some annoying glitches in the SGS3 Gallery app
First
Once I open the Gallery, the albums are displayed in equal sized squares, no empty spaces between them... not anymore. Not sure what happened, but now they all have different sizes and there's an empty black space between them.
Second
Once I open an album and browse through the pictures (not the grid view, the full size when you can swipe left and right between them at full size), some of them will show up properly for a second, then flip upside down or squeeze down to landscape instead of portrait.
I know the pictures themselves are just fine, I've cleared the Gallery app data and force-stopped it. No dice.
Short of replacing my Gallery app - which I really don't want to do - I really need any suggestions you guys can throw at me.
Anything?

In a photo in Gallery, top and bottom tool bars do not disappear???

In the stock S4 Gallery app, when you go full size into a photo, the top and bottom tool bars do not seem to disappear or hide at all (top shows sharing, delete, etc and bottom shows the thumbnails of other photos)...how can this be? Can we really not view our photos without these bars covering parts of them???

Click to collapse
Hopefully someone can answer this question because it becomes obtrusive when you're trying to review your photos. When you view your photos from the camera app, only the top bar shows and bottom bar disappears. Coming from my GNEX I could view my pictures in full mode with just a touch.
All I have to do is tap the picture.

Original flip grid cover

I got the grid cover today.
Really great, but one problem.
If I set both weather and animation to show, only clock willl show.
If I set clock to of, the animation show when closing the cover.
When I press power button, the weather don't show.
Only one of them working , not both together.
Anyone else?

Watchface for Gear S using Smartlauncher and Zooper Widget pro

I found a Watchface solution using Smartlauncher and Zooper Widget pro. With smartlauncher it's possible to create a Fullscreen (Zooper) Widget on the Lockscreen. I created 4 Watchfaces on this way. I will post a instruction for it right here.

This Watchface Solution is composed of two parts:
A) a handfree background picture
B) a zooper widget to add the Minute Hand, the Hour Hand, the Akku Hand, the Date and the Notification Counter
Before starting, go to Settings and disable Screen lock.
The Smartlauncher allows to create a fullsize-Widget on the Lockscreen. First, we have to install Smartlauncher and Zooper Widget on the Gear.
After installing this two Apps, we have to change some Settings in the Smartlauncher. First, click at the search Bar and hold. Settings will open. Choose Settings and deactivate the search Bar. Then go back to the lock screen. Click on the Clock and delete. At least, delete the five Bubbles on the same way.
Now, go to the Settings of the Launcher by clicking on the Circle With the 4 Dots, then tap on the right upper side on the 3 dots. Choose Settings.

Now go to Android Settings. Moove to Display and LED- extended Desktop. Disable Status bar and Navigation bar for the Smartlauncher. (Don’t worry, both will return with a short swipe for a few seconds)
Afterwards you to to Zooper Widget. Disable just the Status Bar.
Now we have a complete empty Lockscreen. We can use it for a Fullscreen Zooper Widget (with the exception of 5mm of the bottom side of the screen). With a swipe to the right you will enter the App-Index.
You have to put the downloaded Picture blau.PNG in the Galery Folder of the Gear. I choose the way to send it per Mail to the Gear and save it.
Then we have to go to Gallery, choose the Backround picture, on the upper right Side choose this Photo as background. At least confirm Background on the upper side.
Next Step is conecting the Gear with your Computer. Open the Storage of the Gear, open Zooper Widget, and here the folder autosave. Put the downloaded widgets in the folder Autosave. Then put „minimal“ from the Download in the folder iconsets. After that, disconect the Gear and the Computer.
Now go to Lockscreen, click on it and hold. A Window will open. -Choose widget –Zooper widget pro –Zooper Widget 4x4. A shaded window will open.
Widget tap to open. Scroll down to Autosave. Choose Widget6. Then scroll down to „widget tap Action“ Choose „disable“.
At least to back to Homescreen with the navigation Bar and wait a moment. Congrats, your Gear s get back it’s watchface.
