are those custom ROMS are available for korean version of Galaxy S3 3g?? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have installed OMEGA rom but it is stopped at booting page.
is there any difference btween korean version and international one??
somebody help!!

The version of Samsung Galaxy S3 with support LTE for the Korean market has been officially announced. Unlike the American version, the Korean version uses a chipset quad-core Exynos rather than a Qualcomm snapdragon,as the international model ,then your problem is not in the provenance , used ODIN for return to a rom stock samsung ....

but it is not a lte model. it is officially same with world wide 3g model.

You can only use custom ROMS that were built for Korean handsets.
Unfortunately....but it is true.
We have a forum designated for Korean handset only.
Go and check it out....there are a few ROMs posted already.

You would think they would since they are identical but they don't. We don't have same model number but insides are the same. Only one Rom out - presto but I think that is mainly just with unneeded bs removed. Same people are working on Rom called - Prestige. Just waiting...

Att SGS II forum?

When the SGS II is release on ATT next weekend(10/2) will there be a new section(general, themes apps, dev, etc) for it? Or will it go in this forum along with the international SGS II? I believe the ATT SGS II model number is SGH-i777
Anyone? 10 char
Ive been wondering about this too
I would imagine there will be different found as roms from the international version shouldn't work fully on the at&t version without modifications.

+1 for AT&T version.
The S2 forum here is already quite confusing.
Although I do remember reading somewhere for a thread to be started it was like 1k members had to show interest or something like that...

Agreed. I'm guessing it will be much like the I9000 forums and I897(Captivate, etc) where some some things will work but will need to be tweaked a bit to work on the carrier version of phone(ATT).

Galaxy S2 T989 CM9?

Hello
I have a serious question and can't find the answer anywhere i've looked on site or off. Us t mobile USA users who have the Galaxy S 2 t 989 running on the Qualcomm chipset, will the cm9 build for the International phones be compiled same time for us ? Are they working on one for us and will it be released after International SGS2 users get theirs? It's unfortunate our phones have a different heart and soul than our other brothers but we really want our cm9 fix! Thank you for your help.

[leak] [rom] ics 4.0 i9220zcpl1

I know this might be old news, but this came out today. A leak to the ICS 4.0 for AT&T GS Note.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1500186
Nice for them but IIRC we can't run Gnote roms. Although, this does mean that a version for our device MUST be on the horizon.
It's got the exynos processor, right?
I thought the English version processor was changed to ours?

Yes, it does have Snapdragon.
Im pretty sure that is the leak for the Chinese version of the phone, which is not compatible with the European version. And that has the 1.4 gHz Exynos
i don't understand how there are so many roms leaked for ATT version of s2 and now there is a rom leaked for Note which just got released in US. Why not for t-mobile s2?

All signs point to Samsung not having worked on this device until the finished the international S2.
This is for inter version. On another note xboarder gave his ics rom preview to skyrocket forum and I must say after flashing it I can't wait. Even tho alot of things aren't working it is just beautiful and fast. Link is in our general section. Also works on our device.
You didn't bother to watch the video at the bottom of the first post...did you?
Thread Moved To AT&T General

Where did it say it is for AT&T Note? If past history told us anything, AT&T ROMs have different button layouts than internation version. Not to mention the radio chips and CPU/GPU are completely different.
First post is misleading.. and the att sgsii doesn't have any ics leaks.

OP is clueless to say the least. This thread should have been closed instead of moved.

[Q] U.S SGS3

I am new to the custom ROM world. I am considering moving to the SG3. I was wondering if all of the current Development available for the SG3 applies to the U.S. version?
Will there be different threads here for the international version and US version for apps and development?
I am just wondering if I will be able to do anything with it when it launches here or if I will be stuck with TouchWiz for a while.
Thanks
There is already a forum area for the different U.S. GSIII versions. None of the development for the International version applies to the U.S./Canadian versions.
The forums for the U.S. phones can be found at the bottom of the XDA Main Forum page.
Thank you very much.
I see the Sprint and AT&T versions, but no forum for the Verizon SG3. Guess it wont matter. Should be the same phone, yes?

No one has a Verizon S3 yet, that is why there is no forum for it. But yes when it boils down to it the US S3 should be just like the Galaxy Nexus in that roms can work for both with some file changes for radio and RIL.

I don't know about gt-i9100g, but I'm using SHW-M250S (korean gs2) now.
as i know, there is three type of korean gs2, m250s/k/l. s/k is for gsm, and l is for cdma.
m250s/k is i9100+nfc+dmb(korean tv broadcast)+some pit difference.
if u just flash pit for i9100 on m250s/k, you can flash all roms for i9100 on m250s/k.

And the battery
Sent from my GT-P7510 using xda premium
I don't know about the Korean variant of the galaxy s2, but the major difference between the GT-I9100 and the GT-I9100G version is the SoC. Exynos (made by samsung) is present on the normal (non g variant), and has a lot of dev support because it is the first international variant. The G version has Omap4 SoC, the same as galaxy nexus, which makes it more dev friendly as Omap4 is more easy to develop. However, the G version has 1 GHz processor, not 1.2 (like the non G), tho users are very happy with the G version. It all depends on what you plan to do. If you want to flash AOSP (such as CM9/10) ROMs, you'd be better off buying the G (version) since developers are now leaning towards that. Both phone have custom ICS and JB ROMs, so you don't need to be worried about that.
As far as the battery is concerned, I'm happy with my S2, I can easily spend a day using it with normal use. I plug my phone in at night and plug out after waking up, and use the phone for the whole day without charging again. I guess you could say its reasonable for such a smartphone. I don't know about battery life on the G version, though.
Both phones are alike in physical appearance, and the way to distinguish between them is just the from the bootscreen or written behind the battery on the phone, and on the box ... maybe someone else may tell you more about it.
Sorry for the long post
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
People in India are not happy about getting the g model in the box when they have paid for the non g model.

the i9100 has the dual core exynos 4210 with mali 400 gpu specs on sheet its faster than omap 4430 , but u wont tell the difference ! the i9100g has a better battery life and is powered by sgx 540 but its overclocked from 233mhz to 384mhz other than that they are the same ! plus i noticed that my i9100g comes with 11gb storage only not 16! which is kinda weird
Dude, give up on the idea and just get a Nexus 4 if you want Jelly Bean.
Don't even think about getting any other Android, it just won't be the same as getting the updates straight from the big G.
Good job necroing a 12 mth old thread
