You'd have to write your own bootloader (or modify existing one anyway) - wiping Bada is dangerous, because if something go wrong you are without Bada and Android. You should look for the safest way of modifying existing bootloader, or, even better - find some security hole where you can inject your code, without modifying bootloader, as we did with S8500/S8530, we're convincing bootloader there's Samsung's FOTA module to execute, but it's in fact our own code. I'm sorry, but I can't help you in that. Too many projects atm taking my time.

Dann bootet das Handy einfach nicht mehr von selbst...
Reparatur, also das Zurückschreiben des Bootloaders ginge mit JTAG...

Long, long time ago I checked some bootloader from S5330 (boot2.img). It did have the same Fota_check sequence as S85x0. Most probably the same would be for S7230 so it's the matter of analyzing the bootloader to get the right addresses to be able to boot something else than Bada. Then, it's completely different story how to get the right drivers working and that will not be kindergarten as well.

I noticed, that since the jelly bean leak, my active car docking station from iBolt (http://www.ibolt.co/ibpf-33307) is not working anymore.
When I put the S3 in the dock on ICS, it makes a sound, starts loading and opens up SVoice and starts the Car-Mode.
When I put the S3 in the dock on JB, it doesn't do anything, not even loading.
I used many of the leaks. Stock ones and wanamlite and none of them worked.
Did anyone else notice this?
Is this a known bug?
Is it only a bug with iBolt?
If not, how do I report this bug?

Same problem here, but with the Samsung Car Dock (Infuse 4G)
It's driving me mad. Also the same with CM10.

Same here. I have an iBolt and none of the JB builds including Omega 27 and Revolution HD 11 (both based of official release rather than a leak) will work. I did find one JB Leak ROM that does work properly with the dock and dock audio. Android Revolution HD version 3! That's what I still use. I don't know whether or not you can still download it though. I can probably chuck up a drop box link for you if it's no longer available.
Just contacted Samsung Support - but I don't know what the answer will be. XXDLH8 is the last build working. From XXDLI1 it wasn't working anymore.

I think they can't test it, because they havn't any car docks for the S3 like they had for the S2. It is a problem with the firmware and I hope Samsung is fixing it oder someone on XDA could provide a patch. Don't know if it's possible 2 swap some sort of dock files from the XXDLH8 build. Also I'm in contact with the iBOLT Support. Will let u know if I receive something new.

well this is super annoying, i flashed XXDLIB jelly bean on my s3 - its also not working with a samsung car dock - i modded my samsung s2 cardock into a proclip dock to work with the s3 since samsung dont offer anything decent for the s3 like they did on the s2 and note
its not recognized at all when docked in, doesnt even charge, audio is not redirected to the dock's audio out port.
its been working just fine on every ICS build ive used since getting the phone
sigh.
@connectsys - well you either have 2 install XXDLH8 or CM10 b4 22.08.12 to have a running JB with Car Dock Mode. We can just hope Samsung is fixing our Problem in their next build. I contacted Samsung about the issue and got the following response.

With the latest Jelly Bean Versions from Samsung the Car-Dock-Mode isn't working and the device isn't charging.
The last working build has been XXDLH8. Also in the official version XXDLIB, which is rolling out in Poland it's not working. Buged versions are XXDLI1 - XXDLI8 & XXDLIB
Different manufactures are suffering from this problem (iBolt, Brodit etc.). A full wipe / hard reset or new installation of the firmware a not solving the problem.
I've attached two pictures, which show you the car dock is working on XXDLH8 and isn't wokring on XXDLI1.
It would be a shame if car docks wouldn't work on Jelly Bean roms anymore.

So that should be XXDLIB from Poland. This build isn't working. We have 2 wait 4 a newer one or go back 2 XXDLH8

I restored my backup of ICS
it wouldnt suprise me if they just ripped out or disabled the code because samsung dont sell any car product for the S3 that makes use of it.
Hi, did you go to settings> accessory> and tick audio output mode?, if not go back and tick that then put your phone in the dock.

We're in a windows phone 7 forum and the hd2 was a windows mobile device, I don't see how this is even remotely funny or relevant to the discussion.

well my android phone can last 2 days in lowbattery state(can only use text and call other functions are dissabled) and about the ram...it all depends...if you install lots of apps that run in backround of course it consumes lots of ram but at least if you have a good ram management app well that will make all the difference

As already mentioned, the HTC HD2 was sold with Windows Mobile 6 installed. Yes, if you put the romloader onto it it could run WP7 and Android homebrews as well because it was a beast of a phone in its day.

I have a Xiaomi Redmi 5 plus (vince) with a custom rom from here, LineageOS-Version 15.1-20180526-Unofficial-vince
I put it on my phone one month earlier, everything works fine, i can not detect any errors, i am very satisfied with that.
Now I have seen that there is a new version of LineageOS for my phone here in this forum: lineage-15.1-20180728-UNOFFICIAL-vince.zip
At this point a big compliment and many thanks to the many developers in this forum here!
So today I downloaded the new zip (lineage-15.1-20180728-UNOFFICIAL-vince.zip) and saved it on my external memory card and wanted to install it with TWRP.
But I did not want a total reinstall, just an update of my existing OS, I do not want to lose my data and programs and email accounts etc.
But that did not work, TWRP always canceled the installation after a few seconds with an error message (error Numer 7 (??))
Now I'm not an expert, so please excuse the stupid question, but can not update the operating system with this new Zip?
Do I have to completely reinstall it and lose all my data if I want to have this new version from July 2018?
I know these versions are not an official, finished version of the operating system, but I thought with a new version, even though this is not an official version, could you just update the old one?
Is this assumption wrong?

Because of this, because I have another cell phone, I ask Moto G 2014,
There are official versions of LineageOS.
Every time there was a new version, I could easily install it via TWRP without any problems ...

There is an app on the play store called Camera2 that in my opinion is better than the stock camera.
