I'm using Desktop Visualizer to create tile styled shortcuts.
What I want to do is have each tile take me to a folder that lists each of the cbr files I have for that series.
The issues I'm running into are:
1. When attempting to choose Select action there is no option to open a folder. This can be bypassed by using a file explorer such as astro. However this is not attractive to me, I'd prefer something more simple like FO or the default File Manager. Does anyone know if there's a way to link to a program such as WOW Comic Viewer and force it to read a folder?
2. If i choose to use astro to browse to the folder, selecting the cbr files gives a "File type cbr not found." Any way to fix this?
I would like to expand this for movies and music however it just might not be possible. I've tried using Folder Organizer however its more for applications than files. If Folder organizer could sort files it would be perfect granted once clicked on the files, they could launch in my comic book viewer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[ANDROID][APP][FREE] Alt-C. An app for copying text between your PC and Smart device

I made this really simple app that makes copying text to your Android device from your PC (or the other way around) quite simple.
You don't need to sign-up or provide any personal details to use it. It works over any network too. Your device generates a unique code on the first run, which you enter into the PC App - and your devices are synced. You can then copy text to your device, or paste text from your device, using the copy and paste global hot-keys.
You'll need the PC App and the Android App. You can get the PC App here, and the Android app is on the Play store
I think it is a good alternative to Push Bullet for the following reasons:
You don't have to open any apps or click any buttons to push to your device or paste from it. You just select the text and press the appropriate global hotkey.
Push Bullet has universal copy paste functionality, but that's for everything that is copied. Alt-C allows you to be selective about what is copied/pasted.
You don't need to register an account to use the service. You just need to perform the initial syncing process once.
Any feedback would be appreciated!

There are multiple locations, but you'll find user apps in /data/app.
Alternatively, you could also use an online APK downloader like this one: https://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/

ES File Explorer will also show you the location of files/folders via the search function.

Wanted system icon video / movie - where can I find it to be able to replace it?

Hey,
I am digging a bit and modifying the ROMs of my devices that also display video clips via my application. One thing annoys me. The moment when the system opens the object from the video. A terribly unattractive icon appears for a moment, stretched to the limit (attachment). I do not know where to look for it to replace it with something else or replace it with a completely black screen.
My Application uses WebView and this icon pops up in two cases:
a) when I call a video file using the player
b) when I run a YouTube video
This video icon appears on different systems also on Android 5.0 or 7.0. This is a system icon, because on a Sony phone this icon is different, although I use the same application (ie it is not embedded in a player)

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
I tried to search the directory structure after unpacking the .img file with the video keys, movie, hoping that I will find some directory with icons - unfortunately in vain. I hope that someone knows where to look or change it Or show me someone who can know about it.
Thank you very much in advance!

Yeah I was going to give TotalCommander a try after seeing one video on file managers. Does it feature a right-click menu with cut/paste and can you highlight multiple files using the mouse instead of check boxes?
Anything similar available with native file managers in EMUI desktop, Samsung Dex or Android 11 Desktop modes?
My go-to that I keep coming back to is X-plore. It does what you are asking for, has a decent UI and options to use it with SMB, FTP, cloud storage and a built-in WiFi file server. Always gets the job done too.
