Tegra Zone not working? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So i tried out Tegra Zone today, since the Galaxy S3 has Tegra 3, i figured there where some good games i could buy.
But on every game i tried to download, it came up a informationfield; This device is not compatible.
i tried both Tegra 2 and Tegra 3 games.
Anyone else has the same issue, or a solution?
Thanks

The S3 does not have a tegra 3

None of the S3 have Tegra3, (thanks god for that). But you can buy the Nexus 7 tablet for $200 which has the Tegra3.

Alternatively if yor're rooted, get Chainfire3d Pro.
Allows you to bypass that stupid and technically nonexistant limitation and play games in paid-by-nvidia quality.

wow, way to do your homework before buying something. none of the GS3 variants have a tegra processor in them. international uses the quad core exynos SOC and most US variants (if not all) are using the snapdragon S4 SOC.

We should feel lucky that the S3 doesn't have tegra processor.

Yep old but nice game. But its so short and nothing special. Gets boring after a while.
great game!!!!
It keeps getting messed up. :\ Most of the time it does not save anything and even if it does save something I still have to start playing from the very beginning. Sometimes I get killed from one slash, for some reason. I'm very disappointed.

What benchmark program are you using?

I've been using quadrant, but I've heard others claim this is worthless. What are you using and why?

+1. Benchmarks are virtually worthless compared to actual user experiences.

Hmmm. I don't go buy a pc without researching the benchmarks. I might be using an amd chip had I not looked at the benchmarks of the Intel chips in comparison. I don't suspect our phones and the chips we have in them are any different. There has to be certain tests that prove a chip's performance. There's always a game or function that can push a chip to it's limits, and some of us want to know what those limits are.

I was about to say that score is pretty bad... but then I noticed you aren't on a GNote.
Benchmarking serves a purpose, surely. But real world experience trumps sheer numbers (within reason). For instance, S4 versus Tegra 3. Both excel at certain benchmarks, but in reality, both are great.
Where benchmarking is f'in retarded is when someone *****es that they scored a 6200 and joe schmoe scored a 6250...and they are pissed.

the apps are easily fooled, i can build you a Rom that will show "over 9000!!!!" On benches, but run like total and complete garbage.

Ahh, but that's why we need a benchmark program that's not fooled by the rom. Pc's have them. Aren't our phones merely small pc's?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
I know....a benchmark program built into the recovery mode software, so you could test the chip outside of the rom. That is a good idea. That way the test won't be skewed by widgets and background processes. Although I do like to know how much improvement comes from my overclocking.

Number 3 is the 4th core. Cores go by 0,1,2 and 3. The details in the app are for the 4th core.

GPU rendering makes laggy?

Is just me or what?
After I enable GPU rendering, feels everything become little laggy than it is disabled?

GPU rendering isn't effective for MOST apps. Also take into account, that the MALI 400MP is a very weak GPU. Also, don't mess about in developer option's if you don't know what they do eh?
No you have it disabled. And for the the other dude saying that the MALI 400 is a weak GPU. You are retarded. It has one point (triangles) where it fails compared to newer GPUs. But it is still one of the top GPUs around.

it's WEAK for 2013 i never meant it that way, last year it was a good GPU, 2011 was when the s2 was announced and it carried a mali 400mp. That was clocked at about 200mhz or so, all Samsung did was just overclock it to 440mhz. THAT is the ONLY reason that it kept up with some other GPU's on the market.

You should ask Linus Torvalds.
He gave a personal middle finger and a "F*ck you, Nvidia"
