Not quite. (;

I didn't know you could crack networks with mobile devices.

It can be, it can be greyish, or it can be legal. It depends.
Edit: its best to assume its illegal , unless you know for sure its legal ( like if you are cracking your own WiFi)

If you find something (not illegal), let us know.

So you want to steal other people's bandwidth and hack into their networks?

Um, if someone has their WiFi network secured, it's NOT public and unless they give you the passkey, you're not entitled to hack into it to use it.

This is exactly right.
If it's not your network and you don't know the password, clearly you're not supposed to be using it.

I have 2 pending orders right now just curious if you could tell how legit this is. It doesnt seem like a scam but let me know ASAP B4 i check out! Thanks
considering the typos and out and out wrong specs listed, i'm calling BS.
it doesn't have a 1.2 hertz proc(they meant GHz)...there's no modem (only wifi)
as far as the special feature being that HP no longer makes them...yeah....BS
Scam. They only accept moneypak for payment. Moneypak is the same as sending money orders. You can kiss your cash goodbye and you will have no recourse.

I see a few things that don't add up, that lead me to believe its all crap...
1: On their BBB "links" nothing is linked its just a picture.
2: It says in the same pic that they have godaddy as a host. Doing a simple whois search shows:
Registration Service Provided By: GOSSIMER
Contact: +1.8889024678
Website: http://www.gossimer.com
you cant click because they just took the pic and embedded it without any hyperlinks:

Great observations everyone! I wonder if anyone has tried calling the 1-800 #
Don't tip him off no matter how tempting it is to harass him.
Let the FBI do their jobs and nail this scumbag!
I dont think the fbi really cares about small stuff like this, and just because we posted about it doesnt mean they are going to attack them right away.

Actually, doing what he's doing is basically what used to be called "wire fraud" and is definitely their jurisdiction. They have a whole department dedicated to internet scammers.

Will there ever be a forum that doesnt allow stupid people in?
Replace the capcha at registration with an IQ test - xda is sure worth the effort for joining... and deny registration below something like 110 and rather forward them to apple

Sooo... will the warranty still cover this?
Just a couple of hours ago just when I received the dongle(took longer then a month, but I can't complain ) I randomly tried GPS Essentials Camera feature and whaddya know? It doesn't work anymore. I think the camera just pop'ed from the board or something, but how? this thing is way to expensive to throw it anywhere like some nokia device. I've been so careful with it, sure I have some scratches here and there but I had nothing like this before...

Common problem. Search. RMA only choice.
Well I didn't notice anything like this to roll around in the forums so I'll ask here: Can I fix it myself maybe? or can't I because of some warranty stickers in the way?

As I can guess, you can't fix it completely by yourself. My tablet has the same problem and it is now in service centre. Waiting for the results.(Best variant is receiving it on Wednesday).

In fact, if you have warranty card, you can try and send it to your service centre. If it won't help, try to get your money back.

J/k, but from what I've read a LONG time ago, it'll be pretty much the same.
One developer claimed it'll be impossible. But who knows.

I was under the impression the the Thunderbolt had LTE in AOSP.....maybe not, who knows.
Also, It should help that the GNex is LTE. Given those maybe proprietary blobs (I really don't know how open Nexus code is) if its not, why wouldn't it be in relatively quickly? Yeah it's a different radio, but the interface should be similar across most of Sprints LTE devices.
EDIT: Yes, it seems the Thunderbolt does have LTE working in CM7
Edit 2: VZW's LTE has a removable SIM card for LTE Activation, I assume ours is very similar, with possibly embedded or spoofed SIM. This probably makes it at least easier to get to work because the device doesn't have to handle the authentication the the network, the network handles it.

Maybe you mean it depends on your Mobile Operator!
Anyway, if you have a mobile operator, like mine, which has HSDPA+ radio cell up to 42Mbps where you live and you test your Internet speed against a server which is inside your mobile operator's network...well...worth testing internet mobile speed indeed!
