HELP: S Voice car dock sound problem. - Galaxy S III Q&A, (US Carriers)

I have the infuse 4G car dock and it works perfect. you plug the auxiliary cord into the dock and the charger too then you connect the dock. is there any way to not make s voice pop up when you connect the dock. also is the a way to make s voice play through the phones speakers, but onlys voice with that setting, so I could say "play music" and it would play back from the car.
Thanks

[Q] Sync HD2 with car so can press previous/next on the radio to change songs?

Can it be done?
When I connect via aux cable with my car nothing happens when I press previous/next on the car radio.
Thanks
Probably bc the standard 3.5mm headphone jack is only for transmitting audio, not to control anything.
This should be possible if you have a radio with USB input for flash drives or ipods but not over an aux cable. Perhaps you could try to find an aux cable with the track forward/reverse built in to the cable? I know I've seen headphones with it but not sure about the cable alone..

I had an aux in fitted in my car and was told the next/previous would work. When it didnt they said it would only work on a ipod. Interesting comment about the cable - anyone able to confirm whether the headphones lead is different?
To be honest, with the swipe action on the music player, this doesnt really bother me as its easy to do this whilst driving. However, I'd like to switch to another music app given the random function doesnt work properly....
I definitely know where youre coming from, I've always used an ipod for music, but want to use my mt4g now (or try to).
I messed around today and here's what I've came up with:
with the aux cable (standard 3.5mm headphone cable) you only have control of the tracks on the device, not with the radio's controls. you might be able to find cable with seek buttons built in (like some headphones) to make it easier but I've never actually seen one.
If your radio has a usb input on it you can connect your phone via usb, mount the sd card (as if using mass storage on a comp) and your radio should detect and read it as a flash drive. going this route your phone will charge, but you'll ONLY be able to control tracks from the radio head unit and you wont be able to listen to Slacker Radio or Pandora or other similar apps via usb. another plus is that the processing is done by the headunit, thus you could use your headunits random function.
The last option (that I think is king) is if you have a bluetooth enabled headunit, the HD2 can stream audio over bluetooth (a2dp) to your radio. You could then pair and stream music, Slacker, Pandora, etc and maintain control on the device (I would prefer control on device and radio, but i dont see this happening) wirelessly. One huge plus to me is that you can charge it while keeping fully functionality with only one cable.
I cant find a cable with anything other than volume controls, but I wonder if either of these options would help

I've been using a BT Venturi Mini for about a year now and it works perfect. You can change streamed track/ stop start and it has no wires. So no mess, best investment ever. Plus, you can pick up calls/ voicemail via car stereo too.
Sound quality excellent, especially when you increase BT pool bitrate via HD2 tweak.
Perhaps if someone modded the headphones that come with the HD2 so that they go from 3.5 to 3.5 with the controls in the middle of the wire to use ?

[Q] Car App w/o Car Dock

I know this is a new phone, but I want to be able to launch the car app without buying the Motorola Dock from Sprint. I already have a car mount that works and a charger. Is there a way to launch the car app? Any ideas?
Thanks
I believe I read that there are two magnets in the car dock that facilitate making the app open up once you plug the Photon into the dock. I can't seem to find that post but mentions this, but you could probably simulate the Car dock app by using another program such as Custom Car Home and add the links to apps represented in the car dock app such as contacts, navigation, google search etc etc

question for anyone with the vehicle navigation dock

I ordered a proclip mounting bracket for my car but they havent released the actual dock for the razr as of yet. So my idea is to use the proclip bracket and mount the verizon navigation dock to the bracket. My question is, can you remove the suction cup arm from the mount? What does the back of the mount look like?
Also, is it possible to launch the cardock app without actually having the dock?
Can you disable having the cardock launch automatically in the dock?
You can remove the dock from the suction cup it just snaps in to a ball and joint socket thingy. there is no car home app in the app drawer but im sure theres a way around launching it without the dock and i havent seen an option to disable the autolaunch of the car dock.
Cool thanks. I did find an app in the market to launch the bedside dock mode but no car dock mode.
Sent from my DROID RAZR using XDA App
what app is that?
It's called "Razr Dock".
1. I didn't find yet a way to launch the CarDock app without actaully docking
2. I found that you can disable having the cardock launch automatically in the dock by diabling the SmartCarDockEventReceiver that is receiving the android.intent.action.DOCK_EVENT event with the "Autorun manager" app.
I have another question related to the cardock:
I have Plantronics K100 speakerphone in my car and it is used for the phone conversations via Droid RAZR's bluetooth.
At the same time the Droid RAZR's 3.3mm audio jack may be connected to the car stereo system and that's where the RAZR will play music.
That is the fine and correct way
However when in a card dock and connected through USB charger cable with special audio jack on it, the Droid starts to play both phone calls and music on the same output line.
If the bluetooth and speakerphone is turned on then both calls and music are played on speakerphone. If you turn this connection off it starts to play music on cars stereo, but also the phone calls are route there too.
Is there any way to fix it somehow ?

[Q] Is you car Mode Disabling bluetooth media?

When I first Installed my rezound car dock, I also installed an Aux Audio 3.5mm jack.
Later I upgraded to a bluetooth receiver, and stopped using the dock because It couldn't provide enough power to the phone due to bad design.
iBolt replaced the dock for me free of charge, and I started using it again sparingly when I need a charge, but there has always been a nagging issue I'm not sure how to fix.
When Car Mode is enabled, as in it says car mode enabled in the notifications, it pulls the bluetooth media (pandora HTCmusic or gmusic) to the external speaker.
The second I take it off the car dock, or click disable car mode in the notifications, pandora/gmusic/htcmusic goes right back to the bluetooth receiver.
Running Newt's ICS atm, but I've had the same Issue with Venasaur 3.0 to 3.2
I don't use the stock HTC car app, I have Carhome V3 set as my default car app.
So Far I've tried
1) going into the car app settings, and choosing my bluetooth headset as both the default phone and media device. Didn't work.
2) Disabling the stock car app in the app manager. Didn't work, the Notifications said car mode enabled, asked which app to use, and then pandora played over the external speaker.
I had already upgraded to ICS before I got the bluetooth unit, so I'm not sure if this happens in GB or not. Anyone able to test this?
This isn't a BIG issue for me, as I have two other power outlets to charge my phone from in my car. Just sorta an annoyance.
Hopefully I can let you know in a few days here. I have the iBolt dock too. Ssame story, got the replacement one from their support because of the charging issue. Anyway, I've been using a crappy old tape adapter in my car, just ordered a bluetooth adapter and should have it soon.
I wondering if it's a Sense thing. Back when I was on stock GB I couldn't figure why BT kept quitting on me in the car. I kept closing out of the HTC car dock because it was stupid. Well, it turned out that closing the dock app automatically shut off BT. I froze the HTC car home app (Car Panel?) in TB and didn't have any more problems. These are the kind of things that make we wish for AOSP/AOKP! I'm using con's rom now, though.
for me its not so much the Car home app, but being in car mode (Icon in the notifcations) that kills ONLY Bluetooth media.
BT works fine for me. iBolt dock, rooted/stock (GB), Carhome Ultra as the launcher. I use BT all the time in the car, for streaming audio (Subsonic/Pandora/etc.) through a Moto T605.

Use Car iPod connection to play music over bluetooth?

My truck has an iPod cable hidden in the center console but I've not used it since my iPhone 3GS. I'm wondering if a device exist that I could plug into that cable to accept incoming Bluetooth audio from my Nexus.
I want something to act like an iPhone (but work) to stream music via Bluetooth from my Nexus 5 but the stereo receiver sees it as an iPod/iPhone.
Bluetooth options that plug into the front AUX port and have to be charged are not what I am looking for. Too messing.
