Doesnt Work

I got that problem too when I was flashing kernel but I had locked bootloader. So I used PC companion to "repair" my phone.

custom kernels are only for unlocked bootloaders.turn off your phone and flash a stock .tft file's kernel via flashtool (press and hold vol down when plug)

EDIT 2: I GOT INTO FASTBOOT!!!!
Hard reset your phone (Volume up + power until phone vibrates 3 times)
Plug into PC
Hold Volume up and power, but as soon as the phone vibrates/red light goes up, REMOVE POWER BUTTON, but HOLD VOL UP.
You should be in Fastboot.
I tried reflashing Doom's kernel, but it doesn't work gah. Will try more.
FYI, flashboot is the same procedure, but hold volume down + power all the way.
Edit 5: Any expert can help with this error message? Trying to relock bootloader/reflash stock to get it PCC to recover.

Ok, I may think I know what's wrong. I'm no expert, but that kernel didn't say it comes with root rights, but some how I got root rights for my phone now.
I think something went wrong when Doomkernel was rooting the phone.
If that version doesn't work, flash a couple of different kernels and see where you go, although I've flashed the following:
In order:
-Doom's
-Advance Stock Kernel
-Doomkernel v1
-The one which I posted.

hey i think i woke it up!i extracted kernel file from stock ics firmware and flashed it with fastboot.but i can see just the sony logo! phone is restarting continuously

No,i cant enter either of them..my phone does not responds to anything..usb cable or charger..vol. up or vol. down or power..wish had never unlocked my bootloader because than i had never developed intrest in all these procedures..i admit, rooting and flashing custom roms, enjoying a vast range f applications for root was fun alltogether but a very costly one..i know i wont be able to get it replaced because i already voided my warranty by unlocking the f***ing bootloader..!!

But your charging light turns orange? That means you should be able to enter fastboot mode. Did you try removing the battery, leave it out of the phone for like a few minutes to be sure.
Then connect USB cable with volume up, without battery in the phone.
Let me know what you get then

Should i be messing with the test pointers to get this undone via hardware..or i should stick to software manipulations using diffrent combos..i hve removed the battery 10 minutes ago,i guess all the capacitor power will be gone by now..so what next should i do..??

First off calm down and think clearly. I hardbricked my S but revived it. First off the recovery should be related to the kernel. Put your battery in and hold volume up and power for ten seconds. Then let it chill for a few minutes. Then try and enter fastboot so you can flash a new kernel. I have NEVER EVER found a phone that couldnt be revived from brick and I have rooted and modded at least 15 different models and manufacturers. It can be done, you just need patience. Fastboot mode is the way to revive a device and once you get the proper kernel on you should be okay. Just keep trying to enter fastboot. Dont run your battery out all the way though, since sometimes you can get it to low the phone cant charge and the charge mode is related to kernel.
I do have same problem, please help me.

i need help just hard brick my xperia s .... no led no fastboot no flashboot....no logo.... nothing at all and i was with 80% battery please mailme at this direction [email protected] i trully need help i dont know what to do anymore
Post your own thread instead of necroing an old one will help. Also saying what happened before the phone died will also help.
Anyway, hold vol up + power for 20 seconds and see if you can get it to vibrate.
If so, after the 3rd vibrate, quickly hold vol down, then jam the USB cable in.
You are now in flashboot. Flash a stock ftf and you should be fine.

Saved my life!
Was stuck into SONY logo after "testing" each CWM function (like the wipe system, etc .. !)
Many thanks!
Xperia U bricked, tried many things but now it gets stuck at "SONY" logo
I am now downloading this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974430 stock ROM. can you suggest which kernel I will have to use to flash the boot partition with. and any steps I have to follow before flashing the stock ROM using flashtool ?
Background:-
I rooted my phone then unlocked the bootloader the official way.
Installed CM9. worked fine
Then I wanted to back to stock ROM (for some xyz reason)
I got a vodafone image and recovered the phone by flashing it but touchscreen was not working.
I think I have messed up a lot and now I cant get the CM9 working also (touchscreen doesnt work)
Touchscreen not working, is it a software or hardware related ?
I still believe if its software related it can be fixed somehow.
Thanks.

Now there is a trick to revive it..
Tested by me!!!
Dont skip this step:-
"Charge battery full and shut device down by pressing volume + and power key untill phone vibrates 3 times"
(despite your device bricked cause when u charge or hit power button there is a supply and your device hasn't shut completely)
"Don't connect the phone to desktop until the point no 3-4 below"
1)Open flashtool
2)select the files for flashing
3)when the Popup hits your screen to connect your device in flash mode wait for it to repeat 2-3 times and then connect it asap
4) you will see the device detected and flashing starts the green led goes red for flashing mode
The timing should be spot on!!! If you can't get in one go try a couple of times...

Flashtool method
Download the correct firmware file for your phone at the bottom of the post.
Make sure Flashtool is installed.
Place downloaded firmware file(.ftf format) in Flashtool\firmwares(by default C:\Program Files\Flashtool) folder.
Start Flashtool.
Click the lightning button and choose Flashmode.
Firmware should appear there, if you have it in correct folder. Choose it.
Turn off your phone, connect USB cable to computer, then press Volume Down button and connect USB cable to your phone.
Flashtool should detect your phone and starts flashing. Follow the instructions.
When it says „Flashing completed“, unplug your phone and turn it on.

What volume combination and stuck at the logo mean? You do flashing firmware via flashtool with device off.
It said connect USB cable and then power + vol - .I did it but nothing happened. It's still at the logo. I installed an official firmware once and a blue led indicator showed up. Now it doesn't .
Be sure that the phone is off then plug the usb cabl and hold volum down key in the same time and your in flash mod then open flashtool and see videos on youtube on how to flash ftf files using flashtool and that should be over

do you really want a cm10 rom? then unlock your bootloader (but be mindful that you may lose your warrant and bad things might happen to your phone) here's the tut http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1879750
after you unlock your bootloader
flash your kernel through flashtool
then install cm10 rom
but if you want to go back to your stock rom
you need flashtool and obviously your stock rom (ftf file)
click the lightning-like button then choose flashmode
select the rom then you'll be prompted to connect your phone
hold the power button and volume down button at the same time until the led light is blue.
wait to complete and your back to your original rom
i hope it helped you

Is the blue led still on, or is it just stuck in boot loop, or both?
Try to turn it off, long press power | volume up button untill you feel 3 consecutive vibrations.

You have to install the drivers first in order to get your phone recognized. Try pressing Vol Up + Power to shut down the phone. Hold it for 10 seconds and then enter fastboot mode and flash using flashtool.

Wait untill you feel 3 vibrations.
What firmware you had when you installed the rom and can you give the link to the thread of the rom you installed?
Do you have ftf to original formware?
One vibration reboot, three power off.
After you will switch off, try flash tft then.

Actually before that i was trying to port a rom but it didnt work out.
so i flashed the pacman rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2372433
in this i had to fastboot the boot.img which i then was unable to.
and before that i had the same rom installed. i have the original ftf.
i instaled the latest flashtool. it says the drivers arent installed but they are.
windows says unable to install drivers.
after i press the vol up and power, after 1 vibration it goes to kernel. i waited for 5 min pressing the buttons but nothing happened.
when on kernel, flashtool says device connected in usb debugging off.
Thanks for your help!
in the flashtool, i chose the log level to debug.
then my phone was able to get to the fastbot mode and i successfully fastbooted the correct cm kernel and booted up the rom!

Did you replace the kernel image before installing? Realy weird why the didn't fo it themselves.
No ppoint to try booting the phone.
You have removable battery so try to remove it for a minute, put it back and see if you can connect in flash mode and flash original formware.
BTW what do you mean by "goes to kernel?" recovery?
