Where to put the data files of a game in memory card? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys.I have a memory card in my phone and I want is to transfer the data files of a game to it.Normally the path of those files is "Android\data\the folder with the files".I have noticed that androd has also created a folder called "android" and inside it a "data" folder on my memory card.So I moved the files to "external_SD\Android\data\the folder with the files".However it didn't work.I have also move the "apk' to "USB storage space" as I'm running gingerbread but still nothing.Any idea how to solve it?Thanks.
PS:My device is Samsung galaxy s plus i9001.

[Q] How to replace SD Card?

Hi Guys,
I am planning to replace my current sd card(8g) with a new one(16g)
can i just copy the files to the new sd card?
Please help.
Thanks.
Yes, but pay attention to hidden files.
Yeah you can just copy/paste/move everything from the old SD to the new SD via a computer. If you're running Windows, make sure you have "Show hidden files and folders" via the folder settings checked so it displays the hidden files your phone might need on the new SD. After it all copies over you can choose to not show the hidden files anymore.

Problem with Xperia S

I have an unrooted Xperia S and I am trying to download a game.
Here's my problem:
When I connect my phone to my PC, I am attemping to find the "obb" folder into the "Android" one, to copy the game DATA in there but with no success! I can't find that folder and Im pretty sure that it's not hidden, it may be located elsewhere or I need to copy data files to another folder.
I have downloaded a lot of games such as NOVA 3 (which downloads its DATA via wi-fi) but the obb folder seems like it doesn't exist.
Could you help me find where the game DATA folders are located? Thanks in advance..
*Xperia S doesn't have card slot so there isn't SD card inserted. Everything is stored in its internal memory (32gb).
No one can help?

[Q] Problem With Clockworkmod

Dear friends,
My Mobile is Galaxy S2 GT-I9100
Android Version 4.1.2
Baseband Version I9100XXLS6
Rooted with PhilZ-cwm6=XXLSJ-OXX-3.73-signed
I have the following very serious problem.
After starting, for a few minutes every thing works Ok.
Suddenly a lot of applications does not work.
Example:
Gallery gives the following Message
"Not enough Space........"Sygic gives the following Message
"SD card is locked
My external SD Card is 32 GB and used to work perfectly.
I have
Formated the SD
Unmound and mound.
I thing that the problem comes from a directory in the SDcard0 with the name clockworkmod.
The backup has created a directory with the name μ012-1~1.4 5.6 GB
The files in this directory have names with special characters and the UID is blank.
I CAN NOT DELETE THIS DIRECTORY OR THE FILES IN IT.
I tried to delete these Backups from recovery mode through the option
DELETE BACKUP FROM INTERNAL STORAGE BUT :crying::crying:
Is there any advice?
Does any body knows if the problem comes from what I describe (Clockworkmod internal storage backup)?

Thanks for the advice.
But the files are on the SDcard0 which is the phone internal card.
Not the ExtCard which is the USB card.

[Q] LG Optimus L9 Won't Allow Access to Internal Memory Using File Manager

My carrier is MetroPCS. Since this phone only has 1.8GB of internal memory, I have a 16GB microSDHC card for external storage, but I can't move anything from sdcard0 to my external sd card in File Manager because nothing shows up on sdcard0. I want to move my pictures from sdcard0 to my external sd card, but nothing shows up under the "pictures" folder in sdcard0. I can't just make my storage option the SD card because when I do that, it's still saving on the internal memory, because apparently the phone thinks that sdcard0 is the SD card. So I need a way to change the storage option to my external card or a way to uncover these files that are hidden somehow.
I'm operating on Jellybean 4.1.2 and 3.0.31 kernel.
@pennyboard420 Welcome to XDA forums.
Your camera pictures are actually saved in the "DCIM/thumbnails" folder and not the "Pictures" (only my screen-shots are saved in the "Pictures" folder) folder and no this folder won't open with File Manager. You need a different file browser, like Root Browser that lets you see hidden files/folders. On some of them you will need root access to modify or change these files and folders.
You can't set and change your default storage location from sdcard0 to the external sdcard natively.
You would need to install an app like Link2sd or a swap script, again the device needs to be rooted.

I've tried your solution but wasn't able to get it rooted because some drivers that I needed couldn't be run on the Surface RT tablet that I have due to the tablet only allowing Microsoft developed software to run. However, I have found an alternate solution: Instead I connected my LG L9 to the tablet, opened up the DCIM/Thumbnails folder and manually copied all my pictures into the DCIM/100LGDSC folder of my external SD card.
Chances are you probably already know about this, but just putting it out there.
Thanks again.

Can't install Most Wanted 2012

My phone is Doogee DG800 and i didn't make any software modifications and i'm total android noob. So, I've downloaded the apk+sd content for my GPU - Mali. Readme file says that i have to move sd content to sdcard/Android/obb. On my phone's sd card i have folder called "data", instead of obb. Same on my phone's memory. Also my phone's internal memory is diplayed as "sdcard0". Sd card's directory is diplayed as "sdcard1". Anyway, i copied the sdcontent folder to my sd card's folder "data" and installed the apk file. After i ran it, started to download some required files (604mb is exact size). Then the application crashed. Please, help me! I don't know even if this is the right place for my thread.
