Do a factory reset and do a nandroid backup. There you have it.
To go back to previous setup, you can restore previous nandroid.

After rooting there should be an app named SuperUser in your App Drawer! If the app is there, it means you were successful!
That will do the trick, or you can try SuperOneClick. For future reference you can check out the wiki! The link is in my signature (the link is the phone name btw).

nice
So to manually do it just push to dev/block/mmcblk0p52new ?
---------- Post added at 01:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:23 PM ----------
Or do you need to delete mmcblk0p52 first?
---------- Post added at 01:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:25 PM ----------
And is it permanent or do we need to do it every time with new rom or firmware upgrade?

Please compare your old partition first. Then you push the unlocked partition to sdcard. The DD command is what overwrites the old partition.
Should be permanent just like sim unlock code. Please follow all the instructions and copy each individual line of code.
DD is a very dangerous command. You could accidently overwrite the wrong partition.
I'd you need any help, please reply on that forum so others can get the same help.
Thanks
confirmed working
thank you !
