Streaming Play Store Movies? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Nexus 7 and I want to stream some of the videos I have purchased through the Play Store to my TV using dlna. The problem I have is that when I "pin" my content so it stays on my device the movies do not show up in the video folder so dlna apps can play them. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Playing Amazon Video on Prime

I want to download videos from Amazon to view when I don't have wifi access. I used Amazon unbox and downloaded the wmv file. The file plays just fine on my desktop computer, but won't play on the Prime...even though other (non-Amazon) wmv files will play). I tried Dice Player, BS Player and MX player...none would play the wmv file even though they support the format. I tried to find a program to convert the wmv to MP4 format using VLC Media Player, but it won't even play the video, let alone convert it. When I try to play, I just get splotches of color. I also tried other video converters like HandBrake...none would work. Either they wouldn't recognize the video or they just produced the splotches of color output. I did find DRM Media Converter which will convert the video to MP4 and that will play on the Prime, but the downside is it costs about $40. Before I buy the program, I was wondering if anyone has found a FREE video converter that will convert Amazon videos?? Or is there a video player app that will play Amazon wmv files without conversion?? Thanks
I'd also love to know this one. Amazon Prime would be a nice replacement for not being able to watch Google Play movies with a rooted device...
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201
This is most likely because of the DRM that Amazon is required to implement in order to offer the media electronically.
Bump--anyone tried this, and if so did it work?

[Q] Android Play Movie rentals through PS3

Has anyone given this a go? I want to rent HD movies from my phone on the Play Store, then watch them on the PS3 on the TV. I have looked around and it seems that you can log into YouTube via your PS3, at least you could back in 2009. You should be able to watch your Play Movie Rentals on YouTube, but can you get them through YouTube on the PS3 AND in HD?
I have hunted for this for a while, don't shoot me if it's already been asked and I've missed it.
Cheers.

Pics & Videos on TV

Hi all, Im able to wirelessly show my photos from my phone to my Sony Bravia tv, but it wont play my MP4 videos. The funny thing is, if I put my MP4 videos to a flash drive and plug the flash drive to the tv, it will play them. Is there another app that would stream my videos to the television?
What app are you using now? There are tons of apps in the market for this, iMediaShare is one of them.

Just the default choose a photo and then select player and it would detect my Sony TV...play my photos not my videos

How to try this :
copy your movies file into your S4 and install MX Player Pro, and start play your movie with MX Player Pro.
mx player pro support many video format
I like VLC Stream & Convert. It works great over home/wifi network & 4G if you have a VPN set up on your network. This app, once setup properly gave me the least problems & was the most consistent.

[Q] No HD playback from Google play movies

Hi - whenever I purchase movies from Google play store the movies don't playback in high definition or download in hd. I have tried to speak to Sony and they've said it's Google's issue and Google are saying the exact opposite. In the meantime I'm left with SD format even though I paid for HD content. The movies play in HD on all my other Android devices. Anyone had the same problem.
