Reboot in fastboot and try any command (fastboot erase cache). If it works, you've unlocked successfully.

[Q] Flashing Kernel in WT19i

I want to Flash custom Kernels in my phone which is a wt19i . Can someone tell me how to do that
There are many post that teach you this.
First unlock your bootloader and you can flash the boot.img or ftf with either fasrboot or flashtool

hope this helps!
It's your phone sim locked?
If it is then: do you have access to fastboot mode?? ( turn off your phone hold the volume up key and connect the phone to your computer without letting go of the key, the notification led should turn blue. That is fastboot.)
If yes then you will need to unlock your bootloader either the official way here http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com or the test point method here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1285285.
If you don't have access to fastboot then you will need to simunlock your phone first and as of what I know and at this moment you will need to pay for it.
Once you unlocked your bootloader you have to flash the kernel of your choice using flashtool here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351309
You cannot enter fastboot if bootloader is locked.

well i know of people able to go into fastboot with locked bootloader the problem is when you have a sim lock and the bootloader unlock allowed: no message in the service menu then you will have to pay to unlock the sim along with the fastboot.

[q]Locked Bootloader vs Unlocked Bootloader

How can I find out if I have a locked bootloadeR?
What's the difference bewtween Locked bootloader ?! and unlocked one ??
and the restrictions .!?
In your phone, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu. the numbers spell SERVICE on a phonepad
In your phone, tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.
locked means you cant get to root to flash a different ROM on it, unlocked is obviously the reverse, can get to root to flash a ROM on it, like CM9 etc
if no, like me, not sure if there is a workaround, I hope so as I really need to unlock my bootloader to flash CM9 on it

If it says yes, it means you can unlock your bootloader. It isn't unlocked when you buy it in a store
If you want to unlock it go to the dev section of Xperia S forums

If it's the unlock code for your simlock, it could happen that it'll change to yes, but I'm not sure. Try it and report please

Nope, unlocking SIM will not enable your fastboot, that means Bootloader Unlock Allowed stays No.

Hmmm...True....Sim Lock and Bootloader Lock is two different things...unlocking Sim will not make Bootloader Unlock Allowed = Yes....

But how does Wotan server work then? I mean if you unlock via Wotan server (with bl unlock allowed:no and simlock) some people said they were able to unlock the bootloader?

I don't know how it works .. but it works ... Wotan unlocks bootloader even if it says NO in service menu

This is done different. WotanServer requires using the test point method, this also enables the fastboot. However, this works only on phones, that have been manufactured before 12W11. Newer phones have newer type of security, test point method no longer works on those.
Using the code is inserted by firmware, it does allow different SIM cards, however does not affect bootloader at all.
I can unlock and relock my bootlader via s1tool crippled with s2 cmds ,no problem , I recieve virgin unlock from Sony , on Sony headed paper , but no it didnt reset my status to yes , im wondering if fastboot will enable now I have no sim lock,or will I have to edit the sin tool cmd file for mango or get jinxs to enable all for me

Thanks man! The problem was that I didn't had the "oem unlock" option in developer settings activated!! That's the reason I couldn't unlock it! Thanks!
Now that I have my bootloader unlocked what is the safest method to root it? Do you know?
Install TWRP and flash Super SU. But I didn't tested it yet.

No this means your bootloader is locked and you can unlock it.. If it was unlocked it would have shown
Bootloader unlocked: yes
For recovery power on your phone and when you feel the first vibrate or see the Sony logo keep pressing the volume up or down button continuously.. Then you will enter recovery..

I need to know more about these things. Can u help me pls? I enter recovery mode, its philps touch recovery.
What it the use of unlocking bootloader?
he could relocked bootloader.
Get into service menu (*#*#7378423#*#*) and navigate to Service Tests -> Security and check keys:
MARLIN [Key OK][Active]
CKB [Key OK][Active]
WIDEVINE [Key OK][Active]
If it looks like above, everything is fine with DRM keys and bootloader. This phone has XZ Dual Recovery and it doesn't require unlocked bootloader
I had checked service test
MARLIN[unknown Error][active ]
CKB[unknown Error][active ]
WIDEWINE[unknown Error][active ]
