Finally Splitted Forums! - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

About time the Xperia S section got split up, was sick of not having a dedicated forum for the Xperia U!

I suppose but now i am hopelessly confused

Awesome! Thanks mods! :good:

It better but think the sub sections with all should be NXT or something. Many letters all over the shop LOL

Splitted what? Why can't we have a own part for Xperia S only? Now we still have to share it with sola, p, u.

There really should be a section for each device.

Pathetic !!! It's an even bigger mess now ? Why does the S have to share its forum with Sola/U/P/ ? Couldn't there just be a Sola/U/P/Go separate forum ???
There is a separate ION forum with less topics and members than for U/P/Sola then why can't there just be a separate forum for those phones together? It really isn't cool to split Xperia S forum for other NXT phones.

Its the way it was, just named differently, and development sections split up accordingly.
It isn't worse at all.

It's just fine, thanks for the Mods.
There will be always people crying.
Don't you have something else to do???

I'm also very happy with the split. Searching for Xperia P relevant development stuff was becoming extremely frustrating, but thankfully that has changed.
Thanks again, guys!

Well, I appreciate what the mods did, but it really piss me off to look all the sola P and U threads all mixed up with S. I hate it!

Agreed. They should have added the Xperia S by it self instead of having the S / U / P all together in one.. It makes it more confusing for a normal joe to come & look around..

If there was a section called Xperia General under the Xperia S section for the u,p, sola would make more sense

It's really true that in Android land only Samsung and to a lesser extent HTC matters, the rest is just fading in the background.
More than 5 forums for the same Samsung phone, while 4 Sony phones are crammed into one forum.

Will you lot never be happy? "Everyone" was moaning because each of the Xperia NXT range didn't have their own development sections. Not one of you specifically asked for a separate general, separate q&a and separate apps/games/themes. The mods/admins have done exactly what was asked of you.
Don't be so nitpicky

I just agree!
I agree, it's becoming a nonsense that it doesn't have its own forum. There are so many questions an issues I have with mine that I would like to put to other users however everything gets lost amongst the xperia s threads.

I cant understand why is not a dedicated thread! Its a great device come on!
Greetings
I also think that the time is right for a dedicated forum for our phone. A search always brings all sports of stuff, just not what I'm looking for. Very frustrating!

Ya, frustrating to went through lots non xperia P to get information for it
I think because lack of developers. I don't how much developer in xperia p, sola, u, and the other xperia nxt. but it's less than the other dedicated forum.
my previous device is xperia x8, it has many beloved developers (ROM,tweaks, kernel, etc), this why it deserves to get dedicated forum, maybe this forum should not be xperia S, but xperia NXT, so it will be more general forum than xperia S forum.
just remember this is xda-developer.com not xda-device.com.
edit :*xda-developers.com
I have noticed that they have done the same fail with the Tablet version of Xperia Nxt. The forum is called Sony Xperia S Tablet. It's 4 devices. Maybe they looks quite the same on the outside, on the inside I think there is enough difference to make a forum for each device. Or just a Sony Xperia NXT and Sony Xperia NXT Tablet forum and then filter the devices under childforums there

I think creating forum with name like Sony NXT devices what will have sub forums for each device would be great. That should keep forums organized and clean... Cause for example look at Xperia P dev forum - bunch of threads for U and P and everything is messed up...
Sent from my Xperia P with SSpeed ROM.
Yes S, Sola, P and U is in the same forums. It's annoying fx if you see an update for a rom and the device name is not in the forum title. Then you think "HEY maybe it is for my Xperia U (I'm using U in that example)" You download it, put it on your phone and go into recovery and Wipe Data/Factory settings and select the file for installing and Boom fails because it's for the Xperia Sola. Pretty annoying
I don't understand them. They have splitted up HTC Sensation and HTC Sensation XL. Why no split up for these phones?????
You all need to post in this forum if you haven't already: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1660354

I have seen million of votes on the Sony NTX devices. But the admins take no action. How many should vote on it? 10000000000000000000?

Xperia U will get top forum on All devices?

Hi!
I think there are a lot of Xperia U users here (like me) and it will better to make a thread for U on top device.
I actually think it would be great to have a unified NXT series forum instead of 3 separate forums for the S, P and U.

Well they need to do something.
Sent from my ST25i using Tapatalk 2
Splitting threads will really clarify things.
Personnaly, I don't have any interest to follow what is not about my device.
No need for a top device forum but subforumsc ould do the trick.
If a shared forum is needed for somthing then a nxt general/dev forum could be created also.
There is a lot of post that are really irrelevant to other devices than concerned.
Oh no! Not again!
This is not the place to make such requests. Post this in request forum for new devices topic under XDA general.
MODs close this thread.

I don't see this section in compact mode though.
Thanks!!

[REQUEST] Overclock Acro S

I believe that i speak for all Acro S users when i say that we want a kernel that will allow us to overclock the phone, no roms, nothing just a modified version of the stock kernel that support overclocking i know the S already has tons of those and they are almost the same hardware so please can any dev just spend a little time on that for us the Acro S tiny minority? Really thanks in advance to anyone who just bothered to read this thread.

Please post in the appropriate section. Acro S has it's own dedicated section where you'll hopefully find better responses.

[Newbie Guide] What to do and NOT to do on this forum

AndroidNoob69's XDA guide - What TO DO and NOT TO DO here
Hi guys, especially people who have just joined the forum
READ the forum rules or is it TOO LONG??
Having PROBLEMS understanding??
Still UNSURE??
Fear not I am here to teach you what TO DO and NOT TO DO on XDA
TO DO
1. Post in the right forum.
Many people who have questions, may end up posting in 'General' rather than 'Q&A'
This is what the forums are for
General: e.g. Android Upgrading news, rooting updates, and other discussions.
Q&A: Bricked your device? Need advice? Come here and ask!
Development: Rooting Kits, Recoveries, ROMs
Apps & Themes: Mods, Apps, Shares, Ports and Themes
2. Be polite. Provide adequate info when asking a question. Do NOT swear.
3. Search the forum when posting. Do not create duplicate threads when your question is not answered.
Searching before posting is important. It helps XDA to fight spam. When your question is NOT answered, DO NOT create another thread. You can 'bump' your thread once every 24 hours.
4. Spamming port request in a thread that is meant for jb and OP says (JB) Just ONE person kindly ask the OP if he can port for example, ICS. If he says 'no' then, you got to wait for a developer to port it for you.
What NOT TO DO
1. Post Cracks, Free In-App purchasers etc.
If you REALLY want to share cracks, DO NOT SHARE IT ON XDA. It is cheating the community. If I have cracks, I would decide not to announce it to the whole XDA "Hey! I got *fill in with app name* for free! Link: donotclick.com/freeapps/appid-8459"
2. Be racist, insult others etc.
XDA is NOT for racism. I am sure everyone wants to have a good time here relaxing, helping others. You would not like it if you are insulted too, right?
3. TRY NOT to quote the whole OP as it might be spam to others.
Yes, you want the OP to know you replied, but try MENTIONING (like @Pandemic does). If you are using tapatalk and cant remember the user's username. Forget it. Just post a normal reply.
4. Mirror a file when OP says do not mirror my files.
This is a problem when the OP does not have a mirror and the app/mod download link is dead. Kindly tell the OP that its dead. He will solve it. In other words, DI NOT MIRROR without permission.
ADDED BY @Ben36
5. Don't make annoying 'noob' threads
ADDED BY @Pandemic
6: dont post threads with 1 simple question if the answer is already there
7: read before post and if you cant find it, use google
8: dont act as a noob if you can read and dont ask 1000 times the same questions
THIS IS ALL THE BASIC INFORMATION YOU NEED, HAVE FUN
Regards,
AndroidNoob69
