[REQ] Camera.apk and other necessary files from stock ICS - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Themes and Apps

Hey there everyone.
I'm sure all of you have gotten hold of the news that Samsung FINALLY pushed an ICS update to the Tab 10,1.
I was wondering if anyone would be so kind to extract the Camera.apk and its associated libs and bins from the stock ICS ROM into a Titanium Backup.
I currently have an AOKP ROM Milestone 6 for my GT-7510 and I'd like to try if installing the files from the stock to my tab would get the camera to work.
Thanks a lot guys and more power to the XDA community! You guys rock!

It's not going to be as easy as that, drivers need to be loaded up for it to work. You'll be better off waiting until they've been added to the builds.

Thanks for the heads-up! I do hope they add it as soon as possible. ;-;

Have you not considered using the official flavour, I've read a few posts from people stating that the new Samsung releases are better than the current custom ROMs out there. I tried a couple a while back but had enough issues to force me back to Honeycomb. This current official 4.0.4 release I'm using now however is great. No problems whatsoever, for me at least.

Come to think of it, I never really considered going vanilla... but yet I'm too afraid to see what kind of monstrosity Samsung cooked up with their new Touchwiz. Unless I find a stock ICS theme for it that wouldn't make it look clunky and cartoony, I wouldn't touch it for now...
but thanks for bringing that up. I'll take a look at it as well, if they say it's that good.

You could just hide some of it with a custom launcher like Apex that's what I'm using, it gives you that stock feel as it is essentially the original ICS launcher but with added extras.
Here's how it's looking for me...

You can also get an ics or jb icon pack for apex launcher from the play store and give it that just better look!

Hi guys, welcome to my second rom for the HTC ReZound. This rom is based on our ICS RUU leak 3.11.605.22. It has been enhanced and set up how I like and have decided to share it with you.
LeeDroid Tweaks - Used under the permissions of j4n87. His thread can be found HERE
Advanced Power Options Menu
Advanced Quick Settings - with SkyRaider style audio selection - NilsP and SkyRaider
Major over haul of the xml's

NOTE: Before you flash my ROM you must be on the ICS firmware and be S-OFF. If you are flashing from GB you'll need to also find the GB to ICS patch and flash that right after the ROM
Now to my Rom's install steps
1. Download the rom and place it on your sd card
2. Verify the MD5 sum I have provided with the download link (do this after the rom is on your sd card)
3. Reboot into recovery and do your wipes
4. Install the rom from sd
5. Reboot your phone and enjoy!

Another rom! Looks nice, will try it out.
First of all, I really do appreciated all of you Devs hard work and thank you for providing us flash addicts with a means to feed our addictions!
I haven't tried any of these ICS ROMS... I've been weary of the blue flicker, lagginess, and whatever this Mainver stuff is... how is this one as far as smoothness and stability? Is there anything that doesn't work?
Hey there! Looking forward to checking this one out. Loved your work on the Incredible.

Welcome to a new kind of CM7.
I have always loved the simplicity and lightweight feel of CM7. It takes the Android experience and makes it an easy, solid, manageable OS. So what happens when CM7 and the animation filled and lightweight Xperia S launcher collide?
Known Bug List-4G Wimax
Features-Solid CyanogenMOD 7.2 Base-Xperia S Launcher-Xperia Theme for CM7-Some Xperia 3D Widgets-572 MB Free of 816 MB Very lightweight and easy on battery
InstallationBackup your stuff, No need for a disclaimer here you know what you're involved in.Wipe everything as usual. Data, Cache, System, Dalvik
For Barebones CM7 with Xperia Launcher - No theming -Download here:http://d-h.st/Izi and flash as usual
+*For themed version with widgets and wallpapers*+Download this file: http://d-h.st/Ugw And place it in sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/ -or- sdcard/twrp/backups/ Just put it in your recovery backup folder. Now right click it and unrar it right there in that folder. Should put a folder in /Backup like this 2012-07-25.06.42.20Boot into recovery and go into Backup/RestoreRestore the file and Voila!
Gapps are here, you will need them for either file. Just flash in recovery after you flash/recover rom. http://cmw.22aaf3.com/gapps/gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip
I will post an Updated .Zip for the themed version once I finish it completely. Still more widgets and changes to bring over from Xperia S Files.
Themed version will more than likely put you on Red-Photon-Recovery V3 if you're not already on it. Just Fyi Don't forget to THANK if you like it!Thank you, AdA
Ill take this one.
Why not one more for the road.
So to use the themed version I just download the backup and restore it on my phone?
I'll give it a go!

Was using CM-7 from Cybik earlier..
Looks purdy, will have to give it a try over the weekend!
Could you tell what tweaks you made to the ROM?
Thanks!
Thanks everyone for the support and I am working on an update now.
Bugs I have found,
When you flash gapps it takes away my 4x4 music widget I have installed, not really a bug but it is different will fix in V2
I cant get my battery meter to go above half charge but my system says its 100% charged. Most likely a theme issue, will fix in V2
Also im coming up with a flashable .zip for the themed version just wanted to get it in your guy's hands quickly and that was the only backdoor to make it happen.
Also my tweaks didn't make it in the rom I have a different kernel im testing but it currently breaks wifi so I didnt release it and I have an MIUI lockscreen that will be in V2.
Thanks for flashing!,

Not to take away from the CM7.2 Goodness I let out last night, But updates might be a tab slow on this because of a new project that just dropped in my lap...
If you like jellybean then you will love what is to come, Im taking my Photonbeans build in another direction and this is a teaser from the device it is currently running on.
NO ETA and it may not even see life on the Photon without tons of work but I am making it my sole project outside of Xperia CM7. :highfive:
Looks like a hell of a project. Good luck.
Nice looking rom. So you're working on implementing a sort of tablet mode for Jelly Bean? That would be awesome. The only other one I know of is Paranoid, and that has it's own issues, so an alternative would be nice.

It is Jellybean 4.1, and it is also a tablet rom, It is based off of the kindle Fire and since I have one it is a project im willing to take on. Been running this rom on my kindle fire and it is lifechanging, I need it on my phone...lol:good:
Sweet, I'll def try it out when you release it. Paranoid gives me signal issues on domestic gsm for some reason, but after trying a tablet-based ui on the Photon, it's hard to go back to a regular phone ui.
aa... noob question.. how to use it with twrp??
have anyone tried it??

What's everyone's ROM of choice?

I'm not a flash addict, last flashed right after ICS release and looking to have another go.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
There is alot of personal choice out there. So many good Devs that put out great roms. I would read up on the dev forum on the different offerings each rom has and what your looking for as far as function and blingage
I'm a flash addict so I switch between cm9/cm10 and a deodexed debloated stock...although I'm finding fewer and fewer reasons to revert to stock ICS. (Although I do miss s note)
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
I am partial to bigfau's {ROM}{& Stock Rooted, Zipaligned, Deodexed & CRTUCLF6} Official ICS, Pure & Odexed ...the "better version".
Why? It's stock with the nicities (?) I want and I can't think of anything that doesn't work.
Fast enough for me, rooted, i can use stock samsung apps like "s note" and calender, and modded tethering for the occasional connection I need.
I've been on this version longer than any other.

And to input my opinion, I am rocking BlackStar, it is pretty amazing. Lightning fast and the stuff just works.

You'll find everything in GooManager. That's an app in the market. Browse your compatible ROMs, and go into hotwires directory.

[ROM][DEV ONLY] CM10 JB Pyramid AOSP Kang Dirty Port[9/25/12][Alpha]

Here it is guys what iv been working on for a couple of days, cm10 port form the htc pyramid, this is in no way a daily rom, hopefully me posting it, will help us with ether aosp jb or getting this one to work enough for daily usage, until we get JB from source(witch is the best choice/experience), The init.rc has been heavily modified, in the hopes of fixing ether wifi or the launcher crashes, but i have not been successful yet, any one is welcome to try and fix the rest of the bugs.
To Chad if you feel me posting this rom is anyway rude or that it would undermine your aosp work, just let me know man i will take it down immediately.
Whats Working?
Wifi(Fails to acces a file in data/cannot scan networks.for now it only turns on) i asume this is something in the init.rc
BT (have not tested trasfer of files, but i asume they work)
Sensors
EGL Acceleration
Sound
Whats not working?
RIL(sahara starts it gets a response, but network cant register)
Launchers always crash, no matter witch one
graphic issues with the laucher area of the ui(i asume it has todo something with our egl drivers)
SDcards( i know there not working, this is an easy fix, not important right now)

This could actually help out a lot. Couple questions:
1) What kernel did you use? Did you make any modifications to it?
2) Is this a port from the official CM sensation builds or another build?
3) Are you using the ICS or JB init binary?

CM10/AOKP: Full Galaxy S3 Touchwiz UX, Theme, Widget Add-On For Jelly Bean

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1669190
I was asked about this on the general forum CM10 thread, not my work at all but just want to share the original 200+ page thread for those of you not aware. There are many derivatives of this add-on, but out of 10+ similar add-on's I have tried this one works most flawlessly. Launcher is 4x4 but as a result it works perfectly with accuweather widget. Even our own Note 2 is ditching the extra column and I like the bigger icons showing more icon detail on this over having more icons on the same screen.
Unlike any other package I have tried, this add-on when flashed with CWM morphs the actual system UI and core apps like dialer/MMS into S3 touchwiz look. It is also based on the new Jelly Bean leak so has speed and fluidity advantages. Just download 1.3.3 (last item on the download section) from mrmad.net, flash, wipe cache/dalvik and enjoy! CWM is required unfortunately to morph the system applications, without it you will just get launcher, widget and miss the dialer/UI tweaks. I tested this with quincyatt CM10 M2 and it works perfectly, and should work with all CM10 based ROMS (Paranoid, AOKP, etc). It has everything you need, just works and there is no messing with RWXX permissions!
Like many of you, I find Galaxy S3's nature UX to be a huge selling point. Note 1's gingerbread UI screamed "cheap iPhone copycat", but S3's touchwiz UX was so good that I would have stayed stock if Samsung treated their customers right and gave me the same visual treatment when they gave us the ICS upgrade. I love the new accuweather widget and I find it much better than any of the sense-inspired widgets I have tried, and I love the way they made Android feel warm, natural and inviting.

I always wondered...does the smemo, snotes, and pen functions work when this launcher is installed?

No, this is just a launcher. From what I know, those other apps require TW framework and other Libraries that arent in AOSP ROMs. It's a launcher like Nova or ADW. Only affects the homescreen and app drawer

there is a smemo app came with the launcher... but no pen support.
I have a great lust of alternative apps for snote and memo paid and free I don't miss touchwiz in that aspect just miss stable builds . But I rather have a ROM that plays my games at full fps than slow n sluggish
