Pure AOSP ICS rom for Xperia Active? - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hi all! I'm looking for a fully AOSP rom that will run on my Xperia Active? Does anyone know of any? I don't want further modifications like AOKP or CM9. I just want the pure Android rom.

Yeah, I saw polishblood too. I even replied to the thread asking about information on porting it to Xperia Active. After an our or so, a mod closed the thread on request of the OP so I guess that's a "no, you're not getting this on your Active" answer. xD

Oh.. I was following this as well the other day and I never got the ROM to boot. It would always get stuck at the SONY boot logo. But this tutorial doesn't have anything about compiling for specific devices though?

AOKP ICS Has been ported to the Photon!

Installed it just a minute ago. It works really well so far? Waiting for TommyB to start a thread before I post links, but I'm sure I'll have something to share soon. It's awesome!

This doesnt belong in this section. Belongs in GENERAL because you are not a dev or the dev of the port.
Glad to see AOKP for the MoFo, if this is true.
Who is the dev porting AOKP to MoFo and where did you get such info?
Your blue font is hurting my eyes. It's true, I'm running it right now. The Dev is Tommyb210. He wants to post it here, but doesn't have the required post count to post in this section, perhaps we can get mod approval.
i can post now!
Awesome.. Make a thread and share this goodness. It's definitely my favorite Photon rom so far. It's great!
When will the post be added can't wait to test out that bad boy

Creating Roms

I want to start creating Roms, because me, i freaking love flashing roms, and i mean, it would be cool making some of my owns, only problem, is i dont know how to even make a rom, -_____- lmao. If anyone would want to help me it'd be awesome. I've read up on it and it seems super confusing.
*Edit totally didnt mean to post this on rom devopment -_____-
sorry.
build off of a stock deodexed rom, or a simpler custom rom. and mess with custom coloring pngs and such inside the framwork-res.apk and the htcframework
that will get you the basic idea....
then you can move onto xml's and change text colors.

[Q] kernel 3.0 work

I know its been mentioned that develoment is focusing heavily on kernel 3.0. Can someone enlighten me as to why so much imprtance is being placed on 3.0? As far as i know 3.0 doesnt bring anthing radically new to the table from 2.6
Also is there a thread that one can follow to stay updated on the build progress/issues for the kernel? https://github.com/jcsullins/kernel-tenderloin-3.0 appears to be a general repository.

So where can we keep track of the progress made to the kernel? not CM9 but only the kernel?

its the 3.0, with like no work done... in the passed 2 months... you can see a few commits here and there, dating up to like 2-3 days ago... but in the /kernel dir, you will notice its last update was 14 days ago, and it is just a
"Merge branch 'Linux 3.0.21' into msm-3.0 [Rohit Vaswani]". I imagine that 4.0.4 kernels are the main focus.

Official ?? *__*
OP fixed to stop confusion (these are not official nightlies)
Think I'll wait, the current roms are quite stable apart from missing FP, the rest works well, will obviously work better when official source is released but introducing random crashes/reboots just to get FP....nah, I'll wait. Good luck though

I have had this device since I was 15 years old.
I am now 17, and will return to development as soon as I finish my secondary education exams (that's June 2017).
I will be, hopefully, the last person ever to desert this precious device.

If you about porting ROM, it's not too hard while this ROM has the same chip set with this phone. In case, if you found bug after porting, this point is really hard to fix it. Therefore, fixing the bug takes a long time.

Porting ROM not too hard. Just follow this guide:

It applies if you want to port Nougat based ROM.

Thanks for the reply, @rickyyohanes626 . I'm totally new to this android development. What I was trying to say was not about porting, but about building android from source (correct me if there is a stark difference between those two). How hard would that be?

I do really appreciate your efforts for the galaxy grand 2 community, but was sad at the same time for your thread getting closed just for not mentioning the credits. But hey, I thought the community was more of a "bro"therhood. So, why consider my statements as offensive?
I know I don't even stand a chance to be up to your level of experience right now, but being a junior member here, I'm sorry if that hurt you.
I'm working on getting a Nougat themed TW ROM. And I'll be upgrading my PC sometime in the coming two weeks, so I'll start AOSP too. Lineage would be easier I guess.

It would be really hard if you find ROM that has different chip set with this phone. And also, if you wanna to obtain sources tree, you must provide a very high connection.
Another hard point is if you done port the ROM, it just not booting, you need to modify zimage (core of boot.img). In this point, you need logcat to analyze error.
