File Explorer on android sees files windows doesn't.

I know the images are in there because of my android file explorer. The problem is I am unable to view them on my windows 7 pc and I do have show hidden files and folders checked on my windows pc. I use an app that downloads them. They are just jpegs but do show on android but not on windows.
Note: This seemed like a general question and if I posted this in the wrong place I'm sorry. G2x with Eaglesblood ICS R5
Are those files encrrypted ?
Or maybe you have disbaled the option in windows to show hidden files?

Figured it out I think but thanks. Having problems with ICS so I rolled backed to gingerbread Weapon G2X. Android ICS comes up as a media player in windows, not like completely like a normal external storage. I believe all I had to do was rescan the sd card .....if I didn't fall back to gingerbread.

[Q] wifi file transfer from windows xp to android

Yes, I did search. I didn't find what I was looking for.
I have a Samsung Galaxy 5 player running gingerbread. I'm trying to access files on it from my WinXP box via wifi. This seems like it should be a very common thing to do, but I simply can't find it. If I plug it into a usb port, I can access the drives. Can this be done via wifi?
Again, I want to access the android from the PC. Not the other way around.
Thanks for any help.
Three possible solutions pop into my mind (I guess there are many more):
1) Use a ftp server on the phone and access the files using that.
2) Use AirDroid or a similar app. It will give you wireless access to your phone's file.
3) This includes something that you said you didn't necessarily want to do but should also work: Use an app such as ES File Explorer and connect to your Windows XP PC via network. You can share a folder over the network (with write access) and then you can copy files from your android to your pc. But I guess that is the least ideal solution of the above.
I hope that the apps mentioned above are available for your device and that a method works.
Thanks, Fabur. I'm sure one of them will work.
The reason that "android -> pc" isn't an option is that much of the time, I'm using it as a wifi camera to monitor what my dogs are doing elsewhere in the house. But it would be nice to be able to access the files on the player from my pc.

[Q] Why is there not a better OSX solution for file management on android?

Currently the only options for OSX file management of an android device are:
Android File Transfer
Some form of web tool
Manual ADB
Google File Transfer is terrible, but I want to transfer files to my device when its wired to the computer. Why is there not a better solution?

What exactly are you asking ? .. Please elaborate ... The USB mass transfer protocol itself is better for transferring file from/to pc/android ... if that's what you're looking for..

Can't manage android storage files on W10 file explorer

So basically I have connected my Oneplus 2 to the PC and I want to manage my files (move/delete/create new folders) but the only thing that works is moving files from Android to PC or vice versa. If I create a folder or move a file to another folder in the phone storage the explorer either crashes or a window pops up 'waiting for device' which never stops. Is there a solution to this? I think it has something to do with the developer settings on the phone...
OnePlus 2 with Android 6.0.1 and Oxygen OS 3.5.8. If any other info is needed please ask, thanks in advance!

Remote encryption/decryption solution

Hi all,
I am looking for a solution to achieve the following, I have a NAS which does not in itself support encryption, I would like to encrypt all the file on it with some sort of application, and then use an explorer app on each android & Windows based device, which will allow me to decrypt the file upon me opening them, what's the best solution, if I was to encrypt the files via Windows with a software of some sort, is there an app for android which, once the decryption key is entered, allows you to browse the files as normal, I currently use solid explorer as a file explorer on my android devices and for NAS access, your help will be much appreciated
Thanks
Use 7zip what is available for both Android and Windows: It allows to encrypt and password-protect files & folders.
