I think this is my first thread, so I'm not really sure what i'm doing (any suggestions would help). I saw danishprakash's post here and thought it might be more helpful to have a nice clean I717 version. I ended up getting carried away and resulted in the photoshop files below. Let me know if you guys want a GIMP version. Here's a quick breakdown of the files included:
SGH-i717-template-png.zip - Png files of commonly seen phone pics (bare phone, shadow, reflection, no glass reflection). Drag and drop screenshot into place. (no one will notice the difference, but it looks nicer if you have the phone layered on top of the screenshot.
SGH-I717-1280x800.zip - Raw .psd file used to create different phone pics. Resized to fit 800x1280 screenshot. Drag and drop screenshot and place on top of placeholder layer.
SGH-I717-HD.zip - Raw psd. This was what I was working with to create all of the above. I don't know what you would use it for...print?
Here's the dropbox link for the HD file: Click Me

Awesome, thanks dude

Some obvious things:
- File and process editing
- Simple two-document interface
- Large files supported
- Portrait and landscape screen orientation supported
- File COMPARE
- simple hex/bin/dec/oct/whatever converter(middle of bottom bar)
and moar.
Program works on wm03/5.0/6.1/6.5, not sure about 6.5.x(gui may look weird, or maybe not).
Very, very nice piece of software, maybe someone find this useful. Useful on the go, imho.
It looks great something that I've always been loooking for. Unfortunately it doesn't behave properly in 6.5.5. I cannot access to the Edit menu. Edit gives File menu, so I got 2 file menus from Edit & File Softkey. Also because of the size of the softkey bar, I cannot access to the bottom line. Are you the developper of this software? If so could you fix this?
Thanks.
Nope, i am not developer of EDh, here's link to dev site:

Making new clock numbers

Here is what the standard flip clock numbers look like.

}
Each number appears to be centered in its own 100x128 pixel block in the total 1024x256 size of the image.
Is there an easy way to place the numbers in the same locations when making new clock numbers with different fonts? I am using Gimp 2.6 for image editing. Because it's free... and I'm cheap.
Okay, I think I made the numbers right. In case anyone is interested, here is how it came out.
I was scratching my head over this the other day when I was making some clock hands......... do the images have to be in exactly the right place in relation to the edges of the image, in the end I just too some clock hands from a cab and drew over them to make sure I was in the right place......
I've wanted to do some clock number for a while... your knowledge may save me a LOT of trial and error
Thanks....
ps have you tried paint.net? I use that because its free and Im also cheap..... Ive yet to try this gimp thingy Im hearing so much about.....

Installation: Extract the bundles folder, each folder inside contains a folder with an icon. Rename the icons to whatever you want and move them all to one folder. Upload them to your phone and I use desktop visualizer to install. I'll post a nice zip with the icons all in one folder when I get home tonight.

[Q] MDPI to LDPI

I've found a neat Touchwiz launcher that is meant for mdpi and my device is ldpi.
I would like to convert it for my device but I'm not sure where exactly to start. I doubt it's just resizing the images so before wasting my time on doing that, because I tried out the launcher without touching anything inside the apk and the dock icons appeared fine except the shortcuts on the homescreen were overlapping a bit with the dock icons and when I went to drawer, the apps weren't centered but were at the top and there was free space on the bottom. I would like to get some more information on this procedure from a few people with experience.
I've got APK-Multi-Tool and I just decompiled the apk.
I went to \res\layout-mdpi\ and I've opened up the launcher.xml and by looking at the code I have a feeling that's the file I should be editing.
There are stuff like this:
Code:
android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="45.0dip"
Is this "45.0dip" thing in any way related to the screen density?
EDIT: Here are some screenies of what it appears like:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The problem on the second screenie doesn't really bother me much, the only problem there is the page indicator is at the bottom on the dock icons which sucks I would like it to be moved on top of them.
Anyone?
