FW Flashing Help! - Motorola Droid RAZR

I have got a RAZR that was accidentally flashed with RAZR MAXX firmware now it has no network.
Could this be downgraded or fixed in anywway? Any help appreciated!

RazR & Maxx uses the same FW. The only difference is between CDMA & GSM. So it depends on what carrier you're using. What's your Region?

Been reading all and just came through that, can I flash a GSM radio through fastboot or maybe an xt910 sbf to fix it?
My region is Asia btw.

Here you got the Asia ICS Fastboot, that can be flashed with RSD.
Charge your battery & wipe data before that. The How to use RSD is linked in Dev Section (Motorola Tools)

Need help flashing ICS on GB RAZR Maxx

A while back I rooted and installed safestrap recovery on my razr but never got around to installing a custom ics rom, and now my phone is unable to update to ics. So basically all I need is a little help getting pointed in the right direction to getting ICS on my razr.
Do you have xt912 or xt910?
With the xt910 (gsm) you can rsd lite with ics fastboot or update.zip
Evening you need can be found in the development section

Just like marconz said, I would recommend that you upgrade it using any fastboot images for your device, found here.
Please note that for most fastboot firmwares, you won't be able to downgrade your phone after upgrading it.

[Q] XT910 vs XT912 Razr Maxx

Hi,
I have a XT912 Razr Maxx.
I am confused about the XT910 and XT912 thing. Have seen a few ROMS that work only on XT910 and not XT912. Why is that?
How to correctly Identify that I have Razr Maxx? What ROM should I use?
I flashed CM10 KEXEC Nighties using Safestrap.. Often has issues.. Phone freezes and Bootloops. So reverted to stock..
I am using the Device in India with a GSM carrier.
Thanks
XT910 is the gsm/ international razr and the XT912 is the cdma/ verizon razr.

Razr MAXX for India is shipped as XT910 GSM version with asia retail stock ROM ( not XT912 unless you have got it from outside India ) , which version of CM10 have you flashed ? Looks like you have flashed the CDMA version ...
I hope you have flashed CM10 kexex from this version : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1801379

U can Flash EU ICS Through RSD Lite and then U can Update to JB through ota or manually update through Recovery.

It won't affect your baseband or any other communication. Don't worry about that.

Been running the jb Vodafone EU update. Followed the guide, kept my root and all is well.
Made a few changes. My 3g signal was always full but the internet access used to be spotty. Just patched the radio from the EU retail leak and all is well.
So go ahead and flash the retail EU leak. Don't bother with the Vodafone one. I was impatient so I'm stuck with this with root access or flashing the EU retail sbf and losing my root.
DM me if you have any questions or need any help.
Cheers

I keep hoping one day Asia.retail will just get OTA as a surprise. Do I really have to switch to EU? I really don't want to. I feel abandoned.

Its been officially announced by Motorola that Indian Razr & Razr Maxx will remain:good: on ICS and there will be no JB update so the better option is to switch to EU JB. I have switched and have no regrets..

[Q] What model of Razr do I have?

Hello,
Your opinion is important to my dead brick phone
After 2 months and counting struggling with my phone..
I think it's better to get your opinion about what model of razr do I have
1st picture based on RSD lite it's shows that Model is Spyder S
2nd picture: capture of my phone while trying to boot into BP Tools (it's bootloop till now) with USB connected, LTE is detected
3rd picture: capture of my phone after flashed with XT910 retail UK jellybean .. Model become XT910, but the technology is CDMA 1xEVDO
I have tried flashing with:
- XT910 firmware, i tried retail UK and O2 UK, flashing process in RSD can be done, but then I got bootloop, only able to boot in BP HW Diag
- XT912 firmware, stuck in flash system
So what model of Razr do I have?
I believe you have the CDMA RAZR, its codename is spyder and is xt912. The gsm RAZR is codenamed utms-spyder

since only firmware of xt910 can flashed my phone.
but the physical of this phone make me confuse what exactly the phone model is.

Then there is no doubt about that. Its an XT912, Verizon CDMA (+GSM) version.

then why only firmware from XT910 able to flashed my phone? although it end up with bootloop.
Can you flash firmware for xt910 to xt912 and vice versa?
I have tried to flash with JB firmware for xt912 using rsd lite but it's stuck on system.img
got error phone returned failed.
I used matt's utility but got error :
info preflash validation error during writing boot
and info image bigger than partiion during writing preinstall
now my AP Fastboot status is Receip Failure
