T-Mobile releasing android 4.04 for the Tmobile springboard - Huawei MediaPad, T-Mobile SpringBoard

http://phandroid.com/2012/08/13/t-mobile-springboard-getting-android-4-0-4-this-wednesday/
Sent from my HUAWEI OsiMood MediaPad using Tapatalk 2

So who on here still has their S-board running stock unmodified that will accept the ROM update?
Whoever does... please please please capture the OTA update URL!
If you don't know how to do this:
- Download alogcat
- When you receive the update notification, go into alogcat and apply a filter of: http
- It will filter down to all the URLs in recent logcats, and hopefully one of them is the OTA zip.
If we're lucky the OTA will basically contain a full ROM which makes it easier for us cross-flashers to upgrade.
If we're less lucky it will be all patch files, in which case it won't be easy but I want to switch over to that version of ICS. Perhaps its radio will be more stable than the Euro ones I've been using.

Looking at T-Mobile's website it states that the update will be 4.0.3 and not 4.0.4.

Looks like T-Mobile has pulled the update because the page is edited back to the Honeycomb download information.

Questions regarding updates in Europe (Sweden)

Hi everyone! I've been lurking a lot, but not registered until now.
I have been anxiously awaiting the ics update for my razr, but haven't gotten it yet. As I was checking my info on my phone I found that I only have 2.3.5.
Shouldn't I have gotten 2.3.6 by now to prepare for ics? I really want my ics but how will I ever get it if I don't even have 2.3.6?
If it helps, I live in Sweden and my operator is tele2/comviq.
If I search for updates it says it's up to date. What can I do?
Sent from my XT910 using xda-developers app
did you buy your phone used? maybe previous owner flashed with something weird?
Nope. It's bought brand new and I've updated once as far as I can remember. Still says 235 though.
Any idea? I'm so over it. I just want a version of ICS that works here in Sweden, any way really..
Sent from my XT910 using xda app-developers app
What version are you on? You can RSD an EMEA fastboot file to get the European updates, but there are probably better solutions if you don't want to mess with your phone
I'm on version 651.73.30.XT910.NonEFIGSRetail.en.EU .
Does that say anything to any of you guys..?
I'm fine with going the manual way of updating, as long as the version works as intended here in Sweden.
Although I do want the official release, not an earlier leak or a mod.
Yup, that's the latest version for the NonEFIGSRetail.en.EU, I'm on it as well (in Israel). There isn't an update to 2.3.6 for us
Not everyone in Sweden received 2.3.6, some was lucky updating to 2.3.6 (I was one of them) try to update via Motocast and see if there is anything there otherwise wait for the official ICS

I think if we waited so long, we can wait a few more days. We should be getting ICS in Q2... or so motorolla says.
But if you want, there are many posts around here on how to RSD-lite-your-way to ICS.
But does any of it apply for those of us in Europe? I've only seen the Verizon and Brazil updates.
Sent from my XT910 using xda app-developers app
Yes, there is this T-mobile EU leak http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688241
Since I'm not that well informed, I'm going to ask to be sure.
If install it that way, am I still "official ROM" and can get future OTA? And everything will work as intended even though I don't have T-mobile?
Edit: also, since I've never updated like this with a new version of android, will I loose apps etc? It's not really a problem, just wondering.
Sent from my XT910 using xda app-developers app
No, if you install that OTA you will not be entitled to the official OTA's from Motorola (AFAIK). And I know that going back to Gingerbread is not possible if you are on ICS. In my opinion is better to wait these 4 days and see if Motorola releases the official ICS on time (Q2)
I don't know if the one I gave you the link about is official (I doubt it) it's considered a leak and there might be bugs
If you cant wait, install EMEA 2.3.6 with RSD-Lite, then you should get the OTA as soon as it arrives in Europe. That's what I've done
@percz, does that mean that you've received the update, and does it mean that you got it from the official update service?
Sent from my XT910 using xda app-developers app
Also in Sweden, as someone mentioned earlier, I only got the update through motocast. Phone always just said it was upto date.
Sent from my XT910 using XDA
So you got the update through motocast without fiddling with anything?
Edit: tried through motocast, nothing.

Yeah, now that I think about it, I installed the 2.3.5 fastboot and got an OTA to 2.3.6. I've made a post about it somewhere...
If you can and want to, could you send me a pm with what you used and how you did it?
Also, doesn't fast boot lock you to only manual updates in the future?
Sent from my XT910
You've got PM!
The fastboot files are Motorola original, just like the ones they use at the service centers, so there should be no problem

OTA (not RUU) Available for 3.14.605.12?

We have 3 Rezounds... two of them are not rooted so I am looking for a way to get ahold of the OTA so that they can be updated without losing data. Anyone have any suggestions? The goal is to get them back into a state that they will receive future OTA's also.

they shouldnt lose data when you update with the OTA. if you noticed, it is about 300mb, bc it only updates stuff it must and leaves as much data as possible.
hope this helps
PS this doesnt belong in the development section. is more of Q&A

As far as I know, the only way to install the official OTA and not lose all your data is to be on stock GB. You can RUU back to GB to accept the OTA but that'll wipe your data and you also need to be s-off to RUU back to GB. Other than that you can just run the 3.14.605.12 RUU (ICS OTA) and you'll be up to date (for the time being).
Which update do you mean? You're on the ics update already... If you're meaning the newest that adds global it's probably still a soak test. It will come eventually as long as the phones are stock

Don't think that's possible. The OTA is a diff file based on the last official Gingerbread. You have to be on that release with a locked bootloader and stock recovery to use it.

You mean the .10 leak before the OTA? I'm pretty sure your only option is to relock (if you are unlocked) and run the RUU. I am in the same boat. I got tired of waiting and ran the RUU of the .10 leak. Still on it. I really don't want to wipe the phone again, but I might have to. I do believe this is the only way. It was one of the warnings to installing the leak. I took the chance, and I don't regret it. There is nothing wrong with the .10 leak.

The OTA file itself is in /cache. We don't even need the file, just the sha1 hash which will be in the filename, it'll look like a bunch of letters and numbers. If we have that we can reconstruct the URL and get it ourselves from google.

I am not in US, I have 321, have 4.2, expect in 4.3 in the next few days and believe 4.4 will come in the next 6 months (Sony already officially says it will happen).
I seriously doubt the US version will not follow the same path.
I just switched Sony official support page to US region and still mentions the same. 4.2 is the latest, 4.3 coming this month, 4.4 coming eventually.

Hey i got the same tablet as you how did you upgrade the firmware ? As mine is on 4.1.2 ???
Ok.. everytime i talk to cust care, your latest version is 4.2.2..reinstall PC Companion, use win 7 blah blah.. but nothing worked really
after some time analyzed, i found the below link for all the Sony Rom Files... in that one it says Android 4.2.2 for SGP351 with the firmware as
10_3_1_A_0_244 which is lower than current one 10_3_1_A_1_307.

if someone using SGP321 can you confirm your 4.1.2 & 4.2.2 firmware version is your version is also like the above mentioned one.. so that we can confirm whether we have the latest one.
Mods: i don't think the above link is Warez (they are charging 20$ for 15 GB download), if you feel it to be remove it.
