Why can´t download my Backup from Google - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

Everytime when I install a new rom, no matter I install GAAPS, not intall my backup and have to install my apps manually. I revise in Google Play and not find any option to desactivate the option.

Mine aren't coming down either! I use app2zip now. It makes a flashable zip file you flash after you flash the Rom.and it's free in the play store

I have always used titanium backup it is well worth the money and does everything you can possibly need (including making a flash able zip of apps)

for some reason i just can't make that app work for me. Always got fc on apps after installed.

I recently installed this app, but I have no chance to use.As I create a zip file, will install all the compress file directly????? I have no good experience with TB, because, you have to paid a full version to handling the backup (sorry if I am wrong). In addition, some Developers not recomend to use TB for some Roms. I usually make a backup with App backup & retsore and reinstall manually. Bad shape.....
I will take your recomendation. Thanks to all

Titanium backup is easy
Doesn't require paid to perform backups or restores.
Never restore system apps or data. Quite simple if you read the instructions on how to use it.

I didn't restore system or data. I do know how to read. Anyway..app2zip is what i use. Simple one click. Flash inside cwm at same time as Rom. Was just letting dude know Google isn't restoring to me either and gave a suggestion.

You pick the apps you want, tap go..it makes the zip and places in storage. When youre in recovery after flashing Rom just go to that file and install. When you reboot they are all there.

It has been quite a while since I used it, but as I recall, in the free version you have to manually approve each install, so it is a bit of a process. I prefer just to let Google restore all my apps and then use TiBu to selectively restore data to certain "critical" apps.
With the basic version TiBu will ask you to approve each app individually. The Pro version does it as one big batch, which is much easier. Download the free version and then pay for and download the Pro without uninstalling the free one.
the best way to back up a phone is to put it in the bed of a pick up truck. Get in. put the truck in reverse and step on the gas.

What's the best way to back up apps?

I've been using titanium backup when I flash a new rom. I usually do a full data wipe then, once the new rom is installed, i restore all of my apps and data.
The problem I'm having with titanium backup is that I have to individually install each app which is extremely time consuming.
Does anyone know of a more efficient method of backing up my apps?
BTW, I know you can make a .zip file using titanium but I wasn't able to flash it.

I just spent a couple bucks for the Pro key, which allows for batch restoring/backups. Completely worth it when you're wiping and flashing on a daily basis.
I agree. I bought the Pro key. I think buying it through the Amazon App store will bypass any currency conversion issues, possibly. (It seems like when I bought Titanium Backup Pro, I got charged an extra dollar because of the currency conversion....I don't think I had that problem with another app in a non-local currency via Amazon.)
I am seconding what he said. The Pro key is well worth the couple of bucks or whatever it costs. You just hit the restore and let it do it's thing. No prompts.
At $5.99, this will be one of the most expensive apps I have purchased but I'll give it a try if you guys say it's worth it.

It was the second app (of two) I ever purchased (the other being The Sims for $1), and it was totally worth it. Titanium Backup is simply a great program. The batch functionality alone is worth the price- Dropbox integration is a very nice perk (along with a few other Pro features).
I astro for back ups
I bought the Pro version of Titanium Backup after my first slow and tedious backup without the batch function. Plus the automatic backups are great.
i use my backup pro
Gonna have to invest in this as well. Thanks.
Alrighty. Just purchased and backing up as I type. I'll let you guys know.

It does, actually, in stock Froyo and above, but for some reason the ROMs we have on the Fascinate right now don't.
Normally, when you activate your Google account on a newly flashed phone, all your apps, paid and free, will automatically download as part of your first sync. It doesn't prompt you and it's totally automatic.
I do prefer using TB, though, as Google doesn't backup app data and it can take a really long time to download every app if you have a lot of them. Also, Google's sync occasionally misses apps or downloads ones that you had uninstalled.

I wonder if I have always done something wrong then, I may be new to the fascinate rom scene but I flashed multiple roms on my og droid and they never seemed to give me more than the paid apps
in the market.
admittedly these were aosp roms not stock verizon roms maybe that had something to do with it?
I have the paid version off TB as well but when flashing from say a TW rom to an AOSP rom I prefer to download the apps from the market everything seems to run smother when I do it this way.

Agreed...titanium b/u is worth every penny...on a side note, for me going into settings-> applications-> manage applications-> running applications and going to market (or in my case since I'm on ukb...its tsm market) and hitting clear data...then when I go to the market and hit my apps it will show all of my apps both free and purchased, assuming I don't have any of them frozen because frozen apps won't get recognized by the market...it doesn't start downloading on its own but at least I have a list of complete app download history should I need an update.

This thread is what's wrong with xda.
soon as i read the thread title... i knew something was wrong.
just to make this thread a little worth, I´ve found a way of restoring all the apps without the annoying titanium messages for each app. Here is how:
Make a backup with both MyBackup root and titanium backup free, for both app + data.
After installing a new rom, perform the restore of app+data first in MyBackup. It will not popup any button durring the restore, but it will fail to restore apps settings (data). After that, run the batch restore operation in Titanium but in the last screen select just "data", not app+data. It will restore all apps settings (data) correctly. All free.
Congratulations...you found a way to profit from other people's work without having to give anything in return.
If you're going to be a pirate, no one can stop you. Just keep it to yourself and don't come whining for help when it bites you in the butt.

[Q] Simpsons tapped out backup, will it work.

Hi guys,
I want to flash some custom roms on my one x. I really like "Simpsons: tapped out" I'd like to continue playing it. My problem is, that I'm not sure if a Nandroid backup will be enough, since the game is syncing all the time and I don't know where the data is saved.
Does someone have experience with transferring this app to another rom??? What do I need to do??? Is it even possible to properly backup this game???
Thanks already for your help.

Curious about this as well. I was on recently level 11, and decided to flash a new Rom. As always, I used tibu to back up my apps. I wiped, flashed the new Rom, and restored my backups. I played tapped out for a while, but at one point, all my progress was lost, and it started over at level 1. I cleared the game data, uninstalled, and restored my backup again. Still at level 1. Really sucked to start all over again!

Having the same issue here. I extracted the data file for the simpsons game. I restored it into the right folder after I reinstalled the game but after going out of the game it seems to delete all the saved data I just placed there manually. Someone else suggested using TiBu which I just used but I'm not sure it will work.
I tried everything I could think of to get it to work, but it's obviously syncing with a server somewhere, but with no way to log in, it's pointless.

I wonder if the problem has to do with the Google account association of the phone. You know how when you flash roms a lot of times to Google it is if it is now a different device and you lose your Google apps library (well, you have it, but according to Google it is off on a different device.) I really wish Google would let you merge device profiles in the app store.

Hi guys,
Glad to see someone else is trying to do the same sort of thing as me. I've got a completely stock Nexus 7 (that I don't want to go down the rooting option just yet as it's a shared tablet with the gf) and I'm quite far into Tapped Out but I installed it originally from the leaked APK prior to it hitting the UK play store. I've since googled for the updated APK's as and when needed but now all I want to do is uninstall the "wrong" APK and install the one from the market without losing my progress. (It would also be extremely nice if I could find a way to sync the progress between my Nexus and my S3 but I think that's just a pipedream for now).
Anyone got any clues on how to do it on a stock device?
Well for anyone having a similar issue, have a look into Carbon on the play store from the makers of ClockWork Mod. Backs up apps without needing root. Very good little app.

How do I turn an .apk into a .zip I can install in recovery?

I want to be able to install apk's when I install my ROMS. I know that GAPPS are Google apps bundled together. I want to make a bundle of my regularly used apps that I always install when I change ROMS: a file manager, a few games some apps, some utilities...
I'd like to start out with just one app to learn the process and then create a few groups...games, utilities, apps etc...
If someone could point me to a good tutorial, I'd appreciate it.
