Hello all.
I want to know how can i move that "apps" button on homescreen to some other place on screen. yes. Without using any launcher! I hate launchers! Dont ask why!
Please, tell me if there is a way...

i'm afraid you cannot do this with stock launcher.
but why not install another launcher and theme it just like the Samsung launcher?

Nah. Its just that i plan on installing least amount of apps as.

Hey guys im testing some things out with my phone, and i've searched google and looked through ALOT of places, but i can't find any ICS icons pack, i would like it to be stock- no changes - any idea where to find?
Download a ics rom and pull the icons from the apks with winrar or 7zip

Ok so I am very new to this so bare with me.. I'm on ICS Passion v11. For me to modify the icons such as the dock icons, do I flash them? or is there a certain process I have to do to change them. Sorry if it's been brought up already. I did use the search and was kind of lost on how to go about it.

You have to use Nova launcher or apex launcher in order to change icons. Those are like stock ics launchers but they allow you to change icons. Both are free in the market.

Is there another program that I could use? Nova & Apex are not on the market

i hate the ics app drawer, because it's sorted by name
i like an app drawer that is like the touchwiz one, so that you can choose the order of the apps by yourself.
is ther an option to make this in any its rom or any ics launcher?

I can't tell you which one you'll like. Search the "Play Store" (formerly known as Market) for "launcher". You'll have your pick. Install and test until you find on you like.

i would like everything like the ics.. i have flashed the resurrection 9.7
i like the theme and everything. but the appdrawer,who is sorted by name is awful. so the launcher i am is called nova launcher. can i choose the drawer there? i cant find something

Dude, clearly you can't read, either.
Look - if you are dissatisfied with how your app drawer currently functions, try changing the settings. If you can't get the app drawer to how you like it, then INSTALL ANOTHER LAUNCHER to change your app drawer.
This isn't rocket science. I'm not trying to be mean here, but I've basically said the exact same thing in three posts.

Can't I'm afraid. Installing a new launcher will mean that you have to add shortcuts and widgets back to the home screen. However if you switch back to the stock launcher they will still be there. Aftermarket launchers also handle the home screens.

When using a launcher, will the launcher ALWAYS run on top of the original launcher?
Or will the original launcher be disabled when using another?
What I really wanna know is if the phone have to work more with an extra launcher installed?
Will a launcher ALWAYS slow down the system? Maybe not noticeable on all devices.

The original launcher will not start.

I am new to Android just recently switched from iOS. I thought about using a Launcher on my GS3 but I don't know which one to choose from as there are so many. Besides that, how do I disable touchwiz when I run launchers? Does disabling touchwiz disable the motion functions too? Please advise thanks!

Just use any launcher you want from play store.. Some which come to mind are.. Apex, nova, Holo, go launcher..
Install the launcher.. Press the home button.. It will prompt you to choose the launcher you want to use.. Set your preferences.. Now the tw launcher gets automatically disabled.. Launcher had nothing to do with the Sammy specific features.. They are baked into the rom or the specific applications.. So you will not loose any feature..

Which one do you like best ???
None would be a better choice .
Its Touchwizz for me .
Apex and Nova and Go Launcher are well regarded .

Try them yourself.. All of them are free on the play store.

i am using Holo HD and it is just perfect. very simple and fast. it has a lot of option for free.
You can use home button to change launcher or download a app that does the task for you and then u are able to select sure default launcher etc
Go launcher let's you customise almost everything and is pretty damn good but can be overwhelming or too much work some times for me atleast . My personal favourites are apex and nova launchers they are somewhat basic get enough customisation but also run fluidly and generally better in my experience. I'd definitely give all 3 a go and decide yourself!
